For the last 10 questions on homonyms do you just choose an option of (yes or no )or you have to write words? an example I read has choosing yes or no.

Oh I haven't written the exam at AF Ikoyi before. Please can someone confirm this?

For the homonyms, it's either true or false (A or B). No writing of words.

For EE, you should be looking at 470 or thereabouts.

If you have maxed out all options for increasing your score, Explore PNP routes.

A tip: Learn french (6 months to 1 year) Pass TEF (CLB 7), adjust your EE profile to reflect French as a first language - you will be selected in the OINP French speaking stream worth 600 points.

For my primary NOC, i worked between 2010- 2012.
Secondary NOC between 2016 to date.

Between 2012 to 2014= i was schooling so no work experience.

So does it mean im not eligible for express entry?

You are eligible.

You will fill out the form just like you have spelt out here.

No gaps means you have to include all time periods (even if it's to select "unemployment" )

Look up af.lagos on Instagram to get contact details/rates etc. Rates are around ~50k

Other Lagos-based physical classes include IEF, Yaba. You can get their phone number from the previous page on this thread.

To be ready for the TEF, you need to be able to demonstrate a good B2 (Upper Intermediate) level.

1. Considering the fact that I only know elementary French and can hardly construct any meaningful, grammatically correct sentences, how long realistically do I need to learn to get a decent score.
2. Seeing as English is my official first language, does it then mean that I do not necessarily have to get a very high score in the TEF to get the extra 17 points to get to 475 CRS points (475 being the highest point when ITAs were issued last year)?
3. I live close to an Alliance Francaise but would any other institution better serve my needs of being able to reach a decent score on the TEF exams?

1. 6 months of premium/top quali'ee preparation.

2. See Mamaroon's post. The bonus 30 points are for 'bilingualism' - there is a minimum CLB required for English (but this it is low and one can be forgiven for taking it for granted). The extra 17 points you seek can be gotten independent of your English.
This could be mean at least 3 C2s( 6 + 6 + 6). (Which is quite frankly unrealistic from absolute beginner in a short period). In summary, you need to target the bonus points to maximize your ROI in TEF.

3. Few people have verifiable French tuition pedigree. So far on this thread, people have explored AF, IEF Yaba, and some online TEF vendors. AF is well...AF, IEF Yaba has 2 confirmed TEF student credentials, you might want to explore a physical or online tutor as well. (Take care to do your due diligence before engaging)

1. Has anyone done the TEF via prepMyFuture? Is it computer based or paper based?
2. Please the points system for French B2, C etc equivalent in CRS points is not very clear to me please can someone explain it or share a relevant link.

As regards registration for TEF, reach out to the closest Alliance Francais (Lagos, Ibadan, Enugu, PH, Abuja (Institut Francais)), they have a calendar the follow strictly. Fees range between 110 to 160k.

As regards your May target, you will be breaking a new record (recent record from scratch is 6 months (ayandee and njbybrthnly)). That said, it absolutely depends on the quality of your preparation and the # of hours you put in.

In summary, 4 months appears too soon from a absolute beginner level if you want maximum points.

TEF results DEC 22. C1 C1 C1 writing B1 . Almost every body didn’t get good score in writing including a native speaker. I wonder what happened .

Well done Philips49! This writing...hmmn! Be encouraged! You don reach there already, na just to off shoe remain...You might be already thinking this but get a tutor to just focus on writing. Did you use a tutor previously? Perhaps try practicing some B2/C1 writing techniques...Mamaroon go soon come back from market. She get some tips wey go fit help you.

I came here to share the news that I got from the tutor that unlike last year where fees are fixed. For this year there is now discount: the more hours you book, the lesser your fees. And like me, within a reasonable amount of time and your PERSONAL preparation, you should be ready for TEF . I am taking my exam pretty soon. Back to reading mode. I'm unsure if WES will accept or not. You might just get lucky. Proceed with the evaluation, they'll let you know if they require new documents.

If you haven't explored your account officer, consider doing this in a documented format, this could form part of your LoE as to why you couldn't get the letter in the specified format.

Have you also explored other branches or HQ?

Post PPR - Yes via spousal sponsorship. Bear in mind that this process is renowned to be quite long. However, if you and fam are willing to accept the sacrifice, then yes.
