Crime › Re: Nigerian Drug Peddler Escapes From Indian Prison Few Hours Before Deportation by Fairgodwin(m): 4:11pm On Jan 04, 2017*. Modified: 6:40pm On Jan 04, 2017 |
I am very disappointed in this Nigerian. He's got himself in a bigger mess with this, because the anger with which they'll deal with him if he's caught, I pray he doesn't die from it. In fact, they might kill him. He's even lucky it was India and not Indonesia or Malaysia. He'd have long been executed and cremated, even. Why don't our brothers ever learn? Why do they always want to live so larger than their means? Why do they always want to get rich too quickly and lastly.. Why do they keep disgracing us and soiling the 'good' name of Nigeria in foreign lands? These are some of the things that really vex me a lot. Prodigal Nigerian. LET ME QUICKLY MAKE THIS CLEAR! nnokwa042: if u know the types of drugs afonjas and almajiris people took along with them to mekka u wont say this, is not better this guy do his shit out side than coming to nigeria to become a sucide bomber for 72 virgins? Fairgodwin: Oga please NEVER in your life quote me in regards to tribal sentiments or inclinations. I DON'T give a damn about your afonja or almajari rubbish. I am NOT from any tribe: I am NIGERIAN! I always have this strong hate for all of you bringing tribalism to every issue and ruining the beauty of our ONE NIGERIA!
If you follow my comments closely (on Nairaland) you'll see I never and have never talked about tribes and I never will. The only thing anyone on Nairaland will ever know about me is that I'm NIGERIAN through and through and NEVER [about] my tribe!
Next time, don't quote me with your bigoted and tribalistic mindset! |

Olabisi please come home and contribute to the advancement of Nigeria and do not join a part of the brain drain. In fact, Olabisi, let's discuss some things privately |

Seems Fayose is gathering more enemies than armies. Isn't it too early in the year for all of these? |

deathcomestoall: Yes, I wanted to talk about when I ignored a guy who offered me a lift in his rangerover but my post would hv been unnecessarily lengthy. You are entitled to ur opinion and so am I. I am not materialistic.
I have been fortunate at some point in my life to travel and go to rolex stores to window shop of course, so I have an idea how much rolex costs then. And her age, when I was 12(with a well developed body), I was getting approached by men in jeeps and I never ever for once hopped in, I walked away. I will never take a lift from a stranger even if it is private jet. And I'm not easily swayed. Her skill is of no importance to me. I stated my observation, deal with you and don't encourage hoeism. I was only following this thread without any intention of commenting whatsoever BUT, your comment and sense of reasoning caught my attention. I consider you a very sensible lady and I wouldn't mind being friends with you; I mean, genuine friends. I have PMed you, please. |
Education › Re: 5 Most Underrated Courses In Nigerian Tertiary Institutions by Fairgodwin(m): 7:07am On Dec 28, 2016 |
Anuoluwapo3054: @OP, am a proud graduate of history and International Studies and I can tell that the problems Nigeria is facing today is because we don't have know our history. Our view or rather conceptions about this course is distorted and that is why we are in a sorry state today because we don't learn from the past. Everything we are today has it origin in history (the early man), the technologies we are enjoying today stemmed from history.... Virtually every professional courses today has it's origin in history. Take a look at our past leaders... Like Odumegwu Ojukwu,he was an Historian and many others.... It is only in Nigeria we don't take this course serious, and that's why bad and corrupt leaders will continue to rule us... Now let's go to the international scene... You can not see a citizen of America who doesn't know the history of their land because it is inculcated on them from elementary stage. Until we go back to our history as a nation, we won't get things done because history is the study of the past and the past is being applied to correct the future... So please remove history from that list. I don't think you really got the OP's point clearly: he never said History was bad or a bad course per se; he only said it was highly underrated in Nigeria, which is very true. My cousin recently graduated with a degree in History and International Studies but trust me when I say whenever people ask him what he studied and he tells them they always go, "hmm, ehen, okay o." Sometimes you even see them questioning what he's going to do with it. The truth is, [like] the OP said, it is a highly underrated course in Nigeria, and that's that. |

vic155: It can be funny because u are yet to understnd the meaning of private and personal life, billionnaires Warren buffet has no telephone or mobile phone @ this 21 century, has no private jet when it is order of the day for billionnares like him. I wonder hw u guys think simply if someone didn't emitted the life style of western world u label him as uncivilised. Better change the way u think and focus on real issues not someone private life Warren Buffet was never like that from the onset sir. And mind you, I didn't say he wasn't civilized because truly, it is not the only basis for civilization. But my point is, in the case of Yusuf, the presidency is lying. I get your point, though. |

How possible for someone not to be on any social media in this 21st century? An educated and enlightened man at that - I doubt. By the way, Instagram, Facebook and Twitter, are not the only social media platforms we have available. So saying he's "not on any social media" is funny to me.
I know the point they are trying to make is [that] those particular accounts are not his; and we understand.
But Yusuf my boy, you use some of the social media platforms, shebi?
