Billyonaire: If Kogi State receives 2.5 billion naira every 4 weeks from their of the oil money, this amounts to about 13 million dollars. Why is that money not judiciously used to invest in core areas of corporate competence to generate ROI for the state ? I do not see anything meaningful that public and civl servants do these days. If we consider payment of salaries to these civil servants as welfare programme, then the entire civil service should be unbundled and the money shared to all unemployed and handicapped indigenes of Kogi states. Politicians have lost the functional lobes of their brains and their thinking faculties have been replaced with indomie noodles. Which oil,u mean palmoil? |

dutchjongen: Are you all aware Obasanjo sacked Okorocha for corruption.I will try to find the article,we love to praise thieves in this country and he was indicted by the Senate for abandoning a road contract over a hundred million naira. Here is an excerpt from Wikileaks -The head of the National Airport Management Authority (NAMA), Rochas Okorocha, was caught and dismissed for embezzling about $1 million through an inflated contract; Obasanjo then appointed him as a senior aide, without requiring Okorocha to repay the stolen funds. Okorocha was eventually fired on July 13 in a cabinet reshuffle, but went on to start a political party for his renewed presidential ambitions. https://wikileaks.org/plusd/cables/06ABUJA483_a.html My. Nonsense
Nmanu akara di uto, Onye ratu, ibe'ya aratu. It's unfortunate that the same APC that has been campaigning against Nyesom Wike for trying to make Ikwere to rule for 16 years are the same people working to make Orlu people to rule for 16 years. Achike Udenwa Ruled from 1999 to 2007. Okorocha from 2011 till date. The major reason I hate APC is their stinky double standard and hypocrisy. I know that your love for Okorocha has nothing to do with good governance but the fact that he's from your Orlu.
Why do APC shout change but hate it. The only grouse u have with okorocha is dat he is from orlu zone, wat a shame!is this wat u ppl have reduce leadership to? Are u sayin the imolites dat voted for him in 2011 didn't know he was from orlu zone u ppl shud go get a life |

He is remembered that he was the first African incumbent to uphold the principles of democracy and if you're on social media, you would know what I'm talking about. He is not the first African leader to do so..go an do your research well before tell ing us wat we already know...starting from Ghana, how many times have power changed hands?then talk of Benin Republic,Zambia,Mozambique and so on.so wat are u talking about .?wat he did is only strange to us because we are Nigerians, very use to power of incumbency, but we are wiser now. |
Politics › Re: Buhari's Presidency: Tribalism Wins Competence by fairheven: 2:54pm On Apr 01, 2015*. Modified: 7:58pm On Apr 01, 2015 |
FreeGlobe: There is no reason why Nigeria should continue being a united country when we now place ethnic interests over competence and performance. The yorubas have supported with the hausas to return to the status quo of their born to rule. I don't expect any democracy dividend from a buhari presidency for the masses because Buhari didn't even present a manifesto. All he did was sell his ethnicity to his north while the yorubas did for their region. Jonathan has done more for the north than any president from the north and yet tribalism defeated him. I want to ask all igbos to boycott this government and prepare for the next election with awareness and tribalism. Igbos should make sure that they are not shortchanged in the upcoming census. There is no reason why katsina should have more population than Anambra.
Enough said! Ppl are free to chose who they support... And why should you term that "tribalism"?... So wen and if Jonathan wins,it is competence an patriotism but if buhari wins, its tribalism? Let me educate you ...in Nigeria power is between north an south.buhari ,as a northerner can either go with south easterner ,or south westerner.. Having tried the persons of Chuba Okadigbo an Senator Ben Obi previously as easterners ,he decided to try pastor Tuned Bakare an yomi Osibanjo ...as westerners an finally has succeeded... So how do you blame him? It only takes a child to say that the north an East are political foes...far from it.,the first republic was the marriage of north an south east in form of Tarawa belewa and Nnamdi Azikiwe, the second republic was also between She hu shagari and Alex Ekwueme...but some ppl were too myopic to belif in a propaganda that buhari,a northerner can not work with the IBO...an the few wise amongst us like Rochas Okorocha and Chris Ngige were seen as enemies. We were busy supporting a dead horse in person of Jonathan whose only project in the East was commissioning of architectural master plan of second Niger bridge so blame our zombie leaders. |
