drmikeadams:The work won't even end in installing or employing someone who will be monitoring or manning the camera. For people who are into small scale retail businesses, who always nurse the idea of getting CCTV camera for security and accountability purposes, I always advice against it with some palpable reasons which I have tried it and it worked for me and some many others who I gave the same advice and they used it. Instead, they should spend that money which they are supposed to used to purchase CCTV camera on their staff instead as a loyalty package. Staff tends to be more loyal, reliable, trustworthy, accountable and hardworking when they know that you genuinely care for their welfare than when you are micromanaging them with every form of security mechanisms. Put their interests ahead of yours. Be their mentor instead or a tormentor, and you will be surprised at the results they are going to bring to your table. |
Jefe1:That's no huge money for someone who runs that kind of business. It may even be the money they sold that very day. You never can tell. But one thing about business and money is that, no matter how careful you think you are, sometimes you will end up making some carless mistakes that you would look back and ask yourself these sorts of questions. I had once lost 300k whilst on a transit to the market place where I went to see one of my supplier. Meanwhile, I had my back pack bag with me which I should have insert the money, but I chose to put the money on my back pocket (trouser) and surf away with my phone. ![]() However, I never cried or allowed the lost to get over me, I was more concerned about redesigning another business value proportion that could fetch me more money than crying over what I can't change. Obviously, the incident made me and I became more conscious in handling cash unlike how I used to be. It do happen sometimes...they should learn their lessons and brace up for the seasonal sales instead of squealing over what they can't change. QED. |
This is terrible. Honestly, I don't used to believe that ladies shoplift until one day when I met one along my way to the market, where she was being mobbed by some angry youths. She was beat to pulp that very day cos she was caught stealing from a grocery store. If not that the RRS policemen on a patrol came to her rescue in the guise of arresting her, she would have been burned to ashes. You guys should watch it. This is festival period and people eyes dey red! Some people are always tempted to do what they couldn't have done ordinarily, all because of meeting up with the trends. |
Mercy is a role model to so many Nigerian and African ladies. She's one among many actresses whose marriage has stood the test of time and still promised to be waxing stronger and stronger. |
"Nigeria has had more than its fair share of draconian rulers, whether in military or civil garb, but none has succeeded in breaking our resilience and irrepressible spirit. This regime will not prove to be an exception. Nigeria, and Nigerians, will overcome. The strong desire of our people to enjoy the unfettered freedoms guaranteed by the constitution and the rule of law, including the freedom to speak freely and assemble peacefully, will again outlive, outlast and crush the spirit of despotism." |
Congratulations The Punch for speaking up. You have said nothing but the truth. You just acquired to yourself/firm a customer through this beautiful write up. |
Impressive resumé. Please use it to work well for the positive interest of Nigeria and Nigerians. |
oluboyo04:Hello? |
This is commendable. I must say. |
Sir, if not for God, I would have questioned your mental state. 99.9% of Nigerians are against this and you, a so-called man of God is in support of it. Are u OK sir? Cpd/// |
![]() That's a good one. The federal government have been on a look out on how to finance this their over bloated 2020 National Budget. Every department, sector, ministry, agency and parastatal must be taxed and explored to maximize its optimal revenue generation. I won't be surprised if the FG wake up tomorrow to say they want to tax platforms like NL and Linda Ikeji blog them. This country is warped. I hope a mesaiah comes to our rescue soon |

Davash222:Soon, Son. Soon! |
Funny how fast bad news travels. *sighs* May the lord bestows His healing hands on him. |
Davash222:Lol. I have friends who live, work and study in abroad, particularly in the UK. Most times when coming back for a visit, they do come with some boxes of chocolates. |
Ije awele (Smooth sailing bro) You mean you left Nigeria since 2011? Wow! That's a whole lot of years outside the shore of this beautiful Country called Nigeria. 8years is no moi moi. A lot of things must have happened within the past eight years, either as a student or a hustler in a country where things usually work out as planned when you chose to put in the works. I can see and sense lots of transformation in you. Financially, Mentally, Physically, Ideologically, etcetera. Pls, make sure you buy us those beautiful UK chocolates. I have missed them a whole lot. |
Good one for us, Nigerians! Congratulations Mr Anthony. We are very proud of you Sir. Keep making us proud. |
Clapping gently... |
Trailblazer93:Modified Boss. It was actually a mistake. But corrected long before I saw this your mention. Thanks for the corrections. I appreciate them alot. |
But wait ooo, People... How will this help boost Akwa Ibom economy? Isn't this money spent on decorating the city not a waste? Why didn't they channel it into building a capital project? Just my thought though. |
Beautiful |
Pictures or I don't believe it. ![]() |

OyiboOyibo:Louder please! No relationship can thrive without good and quality communication. Communication is undoubtedly the bedrock of everything we do. From leadership in any field to our immediate family. So many things have gone wrong because there's a missing link that can be traced to conversation/communication. |
Loladearewa01:Bros, we are in this together, hence my signature below...but mine isn't as bad as you described yours. I am an introvert, a meclancholy with a reclusive personality as well. Initially, I finds it very difficult to engage people in a long convo, even when I manage and successfully start one, sometime along the line I end up not knowing what next to talk about, or probably end up shooting myself on the leg. It may be because English wasn't my primary language, I was born and bred in a remote village, where english as a means of communication is an alien stuff. We revere and diginify anyone who speaks english effortless until when I stepped outside of my comfort zone. Now these were what I did which I believe boosted my communication skills and that also make me a better conversation holder, at least to some considerable extent....not that I am in anyway a good speaker or conversationist but I am better off today and I have this strong hope i will keep on getting better in time to come. Being that I had discovered my weakness on the area of communication and speaking skill, I made sure that I am going to make friends with whoever that speaks, writes and converses well...both here on Nairaland, Facebook, LinkedIn, Offline; at the Workplace, School, in the Church, YouTube, in a Cab, anywhere! The world is like a world unto another, it didn't take time I began making friends with my friend's friends. That alone opened a whole lot of other opportunities for me...and that was how I managed to broaden my vocabulary, grammar, syntax etcetera. The yardstick to which I use to measure my progress is when people call, tag, quote or mention me on a post, to seek for my opinion on any topic of discourse. I wasn't that way before. I practically built myself in that direction with a conscious and tireless effort to get better. Through the people whom I have met and discussed my challenge with, some suggested that I should enroll for Toastmasters Club which I did and also engaged myself in so many other different social gatherings. Don't forget, that I always listen with a rapt attention, to learn why they act and talk the way they do. In a nutshell, to get bettet at communication, there are only two guaranteed ways; ~Learn to become knowledgeable about few things and talk about them always. Or ~Learn to know little about too many topics and talk about them always with steady questions and inquiries. If you can master the act of doing this very well, you wlll make yourself good friends and opportunities with preceeds them afterwards. Hope this helped? |
emmanuelewumi:Beautiful! Thanks for dropping bye, just checked. Their share price is relatively high compared to their brother counterpart, MTN. Guess its from their pricing mechanism. The dividend value is quite juicy though. Happens to be the first publicly listed company that paid dividend six months after going public. Nice one. I will definitely get in touch with CenterPoint Investment. Thanks again comrade. |
emmanuelewumi:True! Very true. And that's the open secret of wealth creation. Either in the capital market, or money market, open market or commodity trading. People like Dangote, Mark Zuck..and Strive Masiyiwa may not have made it to forbe's list if they never diversified. Diversification of Investment portfolio is the secret to wealth building. Ask Warren Buffet and he will tell you. Even the legendary book of the holiness said so much about diversification as a means of increase. That's for those of us who believe in extracting principle from the holy scripture. |
Please I have this urgent question: Has Airtel gone public? If yes, when and how do we go about getting their shares? |
That would be a plus to Nigerians if they actually meant what they said. Cos we have been hearing this for a very long time. |
