mrpaedo: Women always fantasize about getting raped. The men who raped them only made their fantasies a reality Are there videos of the rapes available online? I would love to wa.nk off to them
ibkayee: Look at these idiots more concerned with their egos than a girl that got raped and murdered by 11 guys
They're not saying literally every man you ever come into contact with in life should be feared
Rape is a common enough occurrence committed by all 'configurations' of men (stranger, friend, boyfriend, uncle, colleague, husbands and dare I even say it, even brother and fathers) to have to come to terms with the fact that you can't even count anyone out when it comes to the possibilities.
You sef know it yourselves, that's why when you get stories of innocent females somehow finding themselves alone with a colleague, uncle etc and they get raped you have people asking why she was alone with him. Something as standard as collecting dvd or biscuit from someone's house and you will find all the reasons she was to blame because you are very aware of the risks
Even grandmas aren't spared
Urgh, this made me sick
You see when she used a tragedy to make generalist statement she shouldn't be surprised when it starts a huge fight that distracts from the message she was trying to pass along.
For example there was a baby abandoned in Anambra last week, if I was a celebrity and used that instance to label igbos or women what do you think would happen?
pocohantas: Is she not correct? Women hate themselves, yet a woman is most likely to be hurt and killed by a man than a woman. Call yourselves to order! If it is feminism and how to find submissive women- you guys will rant for 30pages. Like those are the issues plaguing the world.
Mischievous title, when did a few APC loyalists become Ondo state residents? They aren't against the appointment because she is igbo, but because she is related to the governor's wife. They see this as jumping line to be collecting free government money.
Sensationalism is one of the most irritating things about modern 'journalism'.
I've had it since I was a small boy, and it runs in the family. Then it was scary now it's just an annoyance.
Initially I was scared that I was dead or would be stuck like this forever. Seeing scary things and hearing voices didn't help, you wanted to scream but couldn't even do that.
Sometimes I would have them every night or multiple times a day. After some years I gained control and learned how to break out of it.
So here's what you should know if you're currently going through this;
1- You're still sleeping. 2- You're not going to die just calm down. 3- Don't bother screaming no one can hear you. 4- Try to think about moving your fingers or toes, if you can move that you can slap yourself into waking up. 5- Avoid sleeping on your back I noticed that triggers it. 6- Try to avoid covering your face when sleeping, it will just make you panic when it happens. 7- The witches you hear aren't real, just ignore them and they will go away. 8- Try to see a psychiatrist or neurosurgeon, you might have an undiagnosed mental illness or brain disorder like seizures or narcolepsy.
Investnow2017: Farki, I am sorry. I thought you were someone who has regard for God's law, and not one simply guided by emotions. I choose not to waste my precious time discussing this further. Bye .
Whoa you don't have any point.
You will be following Leviticus 3:17 over Luke 10:25-37 and still claim to be following God's law, all the other laws you were breaking you didn't bother about them.
Investnow2017: Well, we are not ready to violate God's law to try to save this chequered life.
What guarantee, for instance, do you have that the blood transfusion will save his life? Or are you even saying that blood transfusion guarantees that the person will not die? .
What stupid law?
Do you wear jeans with silk, eat crayfish or tear clothes well you're violating God's law. Why would you allow someone to die because of laws you don't even follow consistently.
Someone who is bleeding profusely or infected with sepsis will have a greater chance of survival if blood is readily available. I have seen people die because they weren't transfused on time, what a stupid and ignorant comment to make. Maybe if you get cancer, diabetes or severe burns you should be left to your fate because there is no guarantee that the doctors can save you.
MasterRahl: I agree with you Sir. I've actually learnt a lot from the history you've outlined here. I didn't even know that the primary aim for spacecraft research was for military purposes. I raised my points based on the consistent blame on the government without the youths admitting that they also have a role to play.
We all have a role to play, youths are thinking about building these things as well but because we aren't sure of it working we go for safer ways instead.
SpaceX in collaboration with NASA and the United States have sent a 2-man crew to the International Space Station.
Here's my take:
1. The United States has recorded a ground-breaking achievement in spite of the COVID-19 pandemic. US recorded one of the highest deaths but this did not deter them from reaching this height.
2. Nigerian politicians have messed up our country. That's a fact! I can't emphasize more on this.
3. Nigerian youths will crowd this forum to bash and castigate the government for not making us great. 50-60% of youths blame the government for joblessness but the same youths refuse to study relevant courses in the tertiary institution that will earn them a chance to Excel in life or contribute to the advancement of the nation. The scientists at NASA are engineers, physicists, mathematicians, economist's, chemists, aerospace scientists, etc. Even Elon Musk himself is a renowned physicist.
NIGERIAN youths will earn degrees in religious and cultural studies, social studies, theatre arts, pre-primary education, etc. and still come to Nairaland to blame the government.
My argument is not one-sided in case anyone wants to bash me. I admit that we have a silly government, but the citizens, especially youths are equally silly.
Some folks here claim that the US is a sane clime and wish to fly there at the slightest opportunity. Days ago, the same folks bashed the sane clime for the extrajudicial killing of Floyd.
The United States and other advanced nations welcome people who have something to offer. For now, a great percentage of Naija youths really have nothing to offer.
Let's try to build ourselves.
Good points however you must understand that these great achievements aren't being done in a vacuum. SpaceX is a private company and not government owned so this can't be attributed to the government.
Whenever the US or Soviets were researching spacecraft the primary aim was for military expansion, whatever advancements from that were later declassified and introduced to civilians like GPS.
Within the last 50 years NASA has scaled back missions to space because the government isn't interested in funding the programs that do not have immediate use to the military or business which allowed private companies like SpaceX to fill that gap.
So what I'm saying in essence is that if influential bodies (governments, businesses) give incentives for space exploration in Nigeria then we will see our own space program. We can not expect youths to build things just like that, even abroad it does not happen that way.
neyorlmogzy: It baffles me knowing that someone can just type a bundle of lies, why? Is it that you are mis-informed or that you are just dumb? First and foremost, Trump sent a total of 1000 ventilators to Nigeria, he gave a news briefing on that last week, you could look it up on YouTube. Secondly, Dokpesi and his family were never in Lagos, they were in Abuja, gwagwalada to be precise, I am saying this because I work in the hospital where they were isolated, and I did see them everyday. So please, when you don't know something ask, so you won't mis-inform others on this platform.
The problem with nairaland is that a lot of people come here for attention it doesn't matter if what they are saying is true or not.
jeff1993: I remember when I was in Ss3 ... I had this beautiful class mate of mine called Uchechi ...she was a very funny and lively girl and she was a Witness.
One fateful day she had an accident on her way to write NECO exam .... She lost a lot of blood and was the hospital requested for blood transfusion but the parents refused ... Everyday we went to the hospital we literally watched our classmate tether on the brink of death just because of a stupid manmade ideology.
Our principal had to involve social service authorities from the local govt and when they intervened, they took over the case and called the senior brother who was in another state to come and donate blood since the parents were adamant.
That was how Uchechi's life was saved but the unity of their family was never saved because she quitted the church when she went to Uni and her parents kind of partially disowned her.
It's better for her to be disowned than to be dead.
kokaneprodigy: Twitter is not a mainstream media and I’m done engaging you cos you can never understand and to be honest I’m not surprised and I completely understand. I don’t have time for this back and forth you are wasting my time.
I have quoted the law, quoted the executive order and explained the situation as simply as I can, you have brought conjecture.
This is what happens when you try to defend the indefensible.
kokaneprodigy: you are a liar! This was during his campaign he wasn’t the president and didn’t hold any office hence you can’t say he abused power.
Wow you are slow, the video was to show how stupid Trump is, I guess it's easy to understand why you like him, you have so much in common.
kokaneprodigy: Government has the responsibility to free press and not private citizen.
See this is what I've been getting at, since Twitter isn't government owned the can't sanction them for bias as long as they aren't breaking existing laws. This simple principle is what you're trying so hard to twist so Trump can look good.
kokaneprodigy: Trump is not suppressing social media he’s saying they can’t eat their cake and have it!
Trump is trying to limit social media's ability to moderate itself because he would undoubtedly be caught breaking the rules, however because of the nature of his office he is given a concession. It isn't by force for Trump to use Twitter, it is not the official communication channel of the POTUS.
kokaneprodigy: i said moniker, the idea is you have to use a name. It even rejects some names if they seem fake . The summary is it was built to maintain certain level of real.
For the news outfit you mentioned reason they are liable for what they dish out. Remember CNN have been sued different times and paid damages in cash to beneficiaries. Reason if they must be partisan they must dish out facts though lopsided. Reason mainstream media will moderate guests on their boundaries and limits before going live because they liable.
Twitter wants to start operating like main stream media reason Trump is saying they should now be liable.
Please what does moniker mean?
I have a clearly obviously fake name yet the account is still up. Twitter doesn't require your real name either.
You understand that if CNN was sued it is because of private entities or persons having a grievance and not by government mandate. The government won't sanction private companies for political bias unless they are breaking existing laws. Which is why Fox News can lick Trump's ass till kingdom come and not be taken down by the government.
kokaneprodigy: I don’t like talking about Buhari cos he has never been intellectually sound and I hate dull people.
Lastly Buhari once attempted to bar Daar communications from Aso rock in 2015. Buhari can’t stand 1/1000 of the close criticism Trump takes daily and debates with on a daily basis. He doesn’t have the mental capacity. Buhari jailed a journalist in a democracy and refused to release him on bail until external pressure was mounted on him. One of his ministers ordered the arrest of a man cos of poem. That’s the person you are bringing into this discussion. It’s an insult to bring up Buhari when discussing Trump please.
Trump sent away journalists from press conferences and banned entire news agencies attending his press events, continues to attack any news outlet critical of him as 'Fake News'.
Buhari is trying to suppress social media that is critical of him now Trump is trying to do the same thing.
kokaneprodigy: Twitter is a registered company in the US same with FB. They are governed by government laws which doesn’t allow private organizations to be politically biased.
You can’t use a moniker to open a Facebook account go figure
So how does Fox News, Townhall and MSNBC exist if private organisations can't be politically biased?
I opened a Facebook account but I didn't use my name, you can put any name it doesn't have to be your name.
kokaneprodigy: Nairaland uses monikers reason It has mods to delete rubbish posts cause monikers can’t be sued. You can’t join Facebook with a moniker. The structure of Facebook and Twitter is to maintain real identity of users like a normal world where u can say whatever u want and be responsible for your actions if anyone decides to sue for libel or slander. That was how Facebook was until they dabbled into politics and started pushing their agenda that was when I deactivated my account. On Facebook now if u are fond of posting things against homosexuality or feminism they will delete, block or suspend your account.
Hence if the owners want to be the police after being backed by law that they are not liable, they should kuku be liable.
You said u don’t want something to be your business, the law was adjusted to back u then you turn around to make it your business when it suits you. U say u dey fact check.
They want to eat their cake and have it!
Meanwhile stop bringing Buhari into our discussions I don’t want to talk about him.
No I absolutely must bring Buhari into this, I want to know if you actually support the bill or just support it because Trump is the one proposing it. If you did support this action then it wouldn't matter who was passing the bill.
Judging by your reluctance to answer the question it seems I already have my answer.
kokaneprodigy: that was the status and why social media enjoyed legal immunity until Twitter and Facebook started deleting posts that don’t align with its beliefs or opinion.
They should have allowed those that want to sue to sue Trump or others they feel offended by their post and not selective deletion they do.
There’s a reason twitter and Facebook are made not to allow monikers unlike Nairaland so u can sue.
Social media isn't the government.
If I register on a website and one of the conditions of use is that I will not incite violence against others and I start inciting violence against others who is at fault, me or the website?
If I go to African Magic forums and start talking about PlayStation 5 should the moderators of Africa Magic forums be obligated to keep my off-topic and irrelevant post on their forum?
Though I agree that Twitter selectively enforces their rules then it should be up to the users to decide if they want to use it or not, which is why I don't have a Twitter account.
There is also no rule on Twitter or Facebook that you must use your real name and put your real life information out to the public.
