Going by the comments I saw on the thread I realized most of you guys tended to equate dark skin with dirtiness or just have a natural hatred for dark skin in women.

Of course all this is just my opinion and I could be wrong. Have black people imbibed so much self hate that they despise people with natural dark skin or is it just a simple case of sexual preference?
Here's my honest opinion on why guys don't like dark skin. Light skin girls tend to be half caste, from rich homes or take care of their bodies more. Light skin is not common so it's a hot cake in a way. Girls have the same preference for light skin as well.

That's not to say every dark girl is poor or dirty. I have seen beautiful rich girls darker than shoe polish.

Golan007:
This pandemic like many other issues, but better highlighted by this one, is a vivid reminder of why most of Africa, Nigeria being a prime example, is backward.

Africans sit back and let the rest of the world conduct research, find solutions and obtain the rewards.

Whilst the research is being conducted, Africans promote conspiracy theories, discard logic, elevate innuendos and engender fake news thinking it is all fun.

I foresee a time in future when Africa would be pleading for the antidotes, begging that the cost be subsidized for them, asking if the capitalists have no human feelings.

For now, it is all well and good to fester in the early days ignorance, waiting to reap where did not sow.
Africans have a habit of promoting self destructive behaviour as good. Our conduct at home and abroad leaves a lot to be desired. Rather than use the Internet to gain knowledge they use it for rubbish. I would understand if it was just a few crazy people but the large number of people posting utter nonsense on this forum with a large amount of likes is just disappointing.

When other countries are done with covid-19 they better not start claiming discrimination when our high cases prevent us from travelling.

Bros, leave all those semantics in the article. The intention is clear. They want Nigerians to take a vaccine that wouldn't dare use in their own country first.

Do you read the article at all? Scientists from diiferent 89 countries have been granted go ahead to develop Covid 19 vaccines. Nigeria scientists have just been listed to be among the countries to develop vaccines for Covid 19. Is there anything wrong in that?
Most of the people against this think that it is one conspiracy against Africans. Yet they think that drinking herbs are the real cure. Hollow brains will not drag us down in this life.

When someone's belief differs from yours you fools on nairaland term it illiteracy. Educated fools.
Your beliefs are wrong and stem from being willfully ignorant of the subject plain and simple.

If you had at least the faintest idea of what you were talking about you wouldn't have made that comment. The fact that you don't understand the process of fossilization does not make you belief true or valid.

I can believe that the Earth is flat and that drinking bleach cures diseases but that does not make it true.

I am very sure you don't know the meaning of the word ILLITERACY so it is pointless interacting with you. For you to reduce the level of your foolishness in public just do yourself a favour and check up the meaning of the word.
The definition of illiteracy "lack of knowledge in a particular subject; ignorance"

Which you have displayed in your previous post and this one.

This lack of knowledge has caused you to say things that make you sound a bit silly. Like placing iron age semitic myths over rigorously tested science.

Oh ! I get you now. So you’re saying Nigerian men really want ladies to play the hard to get very hard then. So why are they complaining. Well then I’ll keep playing it hard as usual since they think it was bread and butter they got in a platter of gold
Not all Nigerian men. If you want to lose out on a relationship because of pride that's on you.

Men hate when a girl is interested but wants to take them for a ride. Let your yes be yes and your no be no. If you show that you're not interested then any man who isn't a simp will take that sign and go somewhere else. Not everyone has the patience to be chasing after girls.

There's also a possibility that most of the people who hate having to play games with girls are more likely to complain about it and people who like it will keep quiet.

honest question here.

why do christains keep their dead for such a long time before burial ?
There's no set guidelines just to pray and Bury the dead at the time the family decides.

If not that human being like wahala, why keep the dead?
You know how Nigerians love big burials, some are kept because of investigation and others because relatives don't claim the deceased so it's better to keep them there.

What most people don't know is that one 17 year old girl will use their unclaimed bodies for anatomy practicals.

One thing I know for sure is that, if he doesn't mention Yoruba in his broadcast he will haemorrhage and die.

So it's kind of compulsory.
The man is a coward and a hypocrite. He knows the leaders in his region are as bad as the people he's insulting and that they don't care about his Biafra pipedream. He's always goading Yorubas to do what he wants, because without their support his movement is useless.

Politics › Ganduje Asks FG To Relax Lockdown In Kano by Farki(op): 4:39am On May 01, 2020
Following the rise in COVID-19 cases and the strange deaths in the state, President Muhammadu Buhari had ordered a total lockdown in Kano which took effect on Monday.

But the governor said it is important to relax the lockdown for a while in order to ease the hardship in the state, especially in the holy month of Ramadan.

Speaking on Thursday at the government house where he inaugurated a panel of experts to support the state task force technical committee, Ganduje said government is expanding treatment centres for COVID-19.

“We would engage the presidential task force on COVID-19 to seek permission to relax the total lockdown imposed on Kano,” he said.

“We are making this appeal on behalf of our people who are presently running out of food items. We would love the federal government to relax the lockdown for a period of time to enable people stock their homes, especially now that majority of us are fasting. It will also ease the economic hardship in the state.”

The panel led by Musa Borodo, president of the National Postgraduate Medical College of Nigeria, was given the responsibility of developing strategy and supporting the state task force on COVID-19 to adopt measures for checking the spread of the virus.

Tijani Hussain, the state coordinator of the task force, put the COVID-19 death toll in Kano at five, saying none of the deceased died at the isolation centre.
