someone came to my workshop and stole my goods today, he was caught and soon crowd started gathering. As you would expect, they started beating him heavily and I rushed down to the police station which is few poles from my workshop to call the police, they told me to pay money to come. My workers managed to disperse the crowd before the police came


They still asked me to pay them for coming that their guns doesn't move out without getting something

But if the guy had died, you would have seen them at your doorstep to make trouble with you.
I'm yet to understand the Nigerian police.
