Last year, immediately after camp in Isi-Emure, Ekiti state, I had a friend who accommodated me in his Msc apartment in ABUAD, meanwhile I was posted to a firm about #300 from ABUAD. It is one of the biggest firm in Ado-ekiti. The manager kept telling me to come back tomorrow for about four days with my #19,800 being at the lowest ebb. Everything was finally settled one thursdayevening around 5:30 p.m. And I being a person who doesn't like bugging people, I decided it was time to leave Ado-ekiti that night and head back to south-south.

I boarded a bus to Akure, and got to Akure by around 7:30 p.m because of bad road. When I got to Akure, I boarded another bus to Benin city. We arrived Benin by 11:00 p.m, and all the while I was still wearing my NYSC cap. The bus stopped at one Filling station where they were "loading" Onitsha and Enugu and it was already 11:30 p.m then, when one man saw me going to board the bus to Onitsha, he said, "Corper wey you dey go this night?'', I told him I'm going to South-south, he then advised that if I don't have cash to lodge in a hotel that night, I should just hang around there till day break that the place is always busy at night. He further said that the car I wanted to board may not take me to my destination and may be a ritualist car. Unlike me, I heeded to the advise. I stayed there till 5 a.m without blinking an eye, thank God for my smart phone that year. The next morning, I just washed my face, brushed my teeth and boarded a bus to Calabar.
