Christianity EtcRe: Ese Walter Denounces Jesus, Says She No Longer Believes In God by Favolly(f): 10:40pm On Mar 28, 2016
Quakertellicus1:
A lot of people lose their faith because of the bad behavior of Christians.

Sad...but true.

I guess the pastor is happy now.

Modified....

In my opinion, the blame for the loss of faith goes to the COZA pastor and his church.

They ''protected their pastor''.They decided the image of the church was better than heartfelt, broken repentance towards God. They decided that the Pastor was far more important than a lost sheep...and so...they ganged up against Ese and this is the result.

You know, one comment I hate amongst Nigerian christians is the ''Touch not my anointed'' comment. When it was used by David in the Bible ....David was not saying that Saul was free from criticism....he was saying that it was not in his hand to remove Saul...it was in God's hands.

Today...we use that comment to protect our beloved superhero Pastors from all critique. We turn them into little Gods...and give them all worship and protection....even if it is at the expense of souls.

Well....Mr Pastor....you have your reward. You have your reputation and fame intact. You never had to say sorry. No problem. You are good to go.

I think it is time the Nigerian Church....the born again branch....stopped this pastor worship and replaced it with Jesus worship. Before God decides to send us through harsh times so that some souls can be saved.

P.S....I advise Nigerian Christians to read these Christian novels....

1.The Visitation....by Frank Perretti.

2.And the Shofar blew by Francine Rivers.

It is time for change in our Church. We have strayed.Even I have strayed. We need to make Christ the Lord of all our life....not our pastor, career, achievement, money, etc.
And the Shofar blew was a real eye opener when I read it during my secondary school days

Please do you have any of Frank Perretti's e-books? The only ones I've read are the ones he wrote with Ted Dekker.

Why??

I've just found that I can't keep unlooking at this story anymore sad

I don't understand paedophiles... I dont understand how this man can do that to these girls yet he has a wife, who is probably sooo convinced that the devil is using these girls to spoil her marriage... I can bet that this man has probably gone to church, for prayer and fasting... and his pastor is probably casting and binding every evil tongue that will rise against him...

PoliticsRe: Nigerian Senate Fails To Pass The Gender And Equal Opportunities Bill. by Favolly(f): 2:30pm On Mar 16, 2016
Lecturebidz:
Ma but we have a constitution which subscribes to fundamental human right nan what is the need of passing another paper again?
When disenfranchised or vulnerable members of a 'population' seek redress to their situation, laws are put in place to specifically address the concerns of that section of the population. For example, children are protected under human rights, but we still have the child care act to specifically protect the needs of children. The aim is to narrow the subject and address specific and not general needs of that population.

Laws are developed upon through Amendments. Amendment in government and law, is an addition or alteration made to a constitution, statute, or legislative bill or resolution. Amendments can be made to existing constitutions and statutes and are also commonly made to bills in the course of their passage through a legislature.

Do women have specific needs in Nigeria that needs to be addressed? Absolutely yes. The vague words in the constitution open to manipulation by the Yerimas in the Senate is not enough to address the specific needs of women.

As clearly stated by Ali Ndume…

"This law that is being AMENDED is very important especially when there is a CLEAR CONFLICT when it comes to dealing with widows, inheritance and divorce in our society"

PoliticsRe: Nigerian Senate Fails To Pass The Gender And Equal Opportunities Bill. by Favolly(f): 7:23pm On Mar 15, 2016
And that one had the guts to bring the bible into it..... Is the Bible an African or a Nigerian document? huh I don't understand how you will quote it in defence of a stance of Africanism as a basis for gender discrimination. Appalling!

Wait, Oga common sense wasn’t at this sitting?? Because I sure cannot see his name amongst those that spoke in support of the bill. Oga common sense, you are not a Twitter senator o! Don't go on Twitter and be supporting Bill that you didn't actually vote in favour of.

Why am I even surprised? How many women do we have in the Nigerian Senate?? Remi Tinubu and Oduah, I hope y'all defended the bill too? This should even be the first problem. The average Nigerian man with the average education and exposure does not believe in gender equality, not to talk of the less-than-average, masochistic brains in the National Assembly. So really, I shouldn't be surprised that this bill was thrown out

No way! Who am I kidding? I am shocked! Nays have it on a basic fundamental human rights issue??!!

I'm so not proud to be a Nigerian at this moment. Shame!!

Nna, As much as I feel for you and your siblings, this isn't the time to be on social media trying to explain the difference between drunk driving and reckless/dangerous driving.

More importantly, you do not tell people “So please put your conspiracies aside...” It sounds impolite and if anything, it will aggravate readers rather than generate the empathy you seek from them because it comes across like you are accusing rather than pleading for empathy. Personally, I couldn't read past that sentence, it was off-putting.

This matter isn't personal. It's the law. The law may forgive but it also punishes and that's just the way it works. No one should be above it. As a UK trained graduate, I expect that you respect the law. Stop infuriating anger in the public over you mum's situation

9jatatafo:
Thanks for the info. Could you believe that the man who always come read my meter said a faulty meter cannot be repaired and I said to him that is a big lie. Normally when I am going to work or out, I usually put the meter on neutral via my change-over, so when the market came to check the reading while inward away, she wrote MF (mal-functioning Meter) against my reading. I got almost 7k that month as bill then I went to their office to complain. So I asked the man that how donyou expect my meter to be reading when there is no load on it? He said at least I should always put a bulb on for the meter to be running. I said no that I can't because if I am away and there is power surge and the unthinkable should happen, what will the electricity company do? He laughed. Then when I got home, I was always reading the meter 2 twice a week and take a snap shot of the reading for a month. I went to their office again and should the person in charge that was how my bill came down. Also I have instructed anyone at home that if the meter man comes for reading that they too should the reading with him and record it down. No story and it's working
Hmmn

Nice one smiley

9jatatafo:
NASS is a toothless dog that barks only but can't bite. You should have rejected that bill and beat the hell out of that punk that brought silly crazy bill to you. On the issue of estimation, when you see a capital letter D printed on your bill it means you are under observation for estimation and if it is an E then you have been placed on full bill estimation. You must learn how to read the meter when the EEDC officer come around to read the bill and make sure you snap the meter to get the reading. So you can tackle those bastards head on. One funny lie told by these people is that your analogue meter is over 40 years old and it is not functioning well. It's all lie!
Actually, the capital letter D means that his meter is faulty and therefore cannot be read and so his bill is being fully estimated every month.

If you look at the 2 bills very well, you'll notice that the Last Actual Reading (LAR) for both January and February are the same. And the LAR date was not shown in the bill. That means that the last time his meter was actually read was when it was fully functioning, which was God knows when. Also, notice that there was no Present Actual Reading (PAR) for both January and February. Normally, LAR minus PAR equals your energy consumption for the period. So, it is obvious that the 300 figure they put as his consumption was estimated.

OP needs to take it up with the relevant EEDC officials so that his meter can be repaired else he will keep paying for what he didn't use

Also, i can see that the fixed charge was only applied on his January bill. It was scrapped in February and i can't see it on his February bill.

She is liable for estimated taxes, which is a form of withholding only that, IRS trust you as the business owner to remit the correct estimated amount, if there is a variance between amount remitted via estimation and IRS computed amount on tax day and that amount is great that IRS set threshold, you will be assessed a penalty by IRS.

US citizens and Residents are required to pay taxes on all foreign incomes. It also appear that, Pearles was more than, she was an employee of her in Nigeria, she controls everything and what need to be done and how the money have to be use, that is not how agent vs supplier relationship functions.

I have to say though, if she had been savvy there are legal ways to defer foreign income or profits for 10s of years and still not pay a dime in taxes in the US.

Yea, I guessed as much.

But i still don't see how she would have been liable to even withholding tax in the US since the transactions in question took place through her 'agent' in Nigeria. From the way I understand the arrangement, there wasn't really any concrete structure for all that

Nigerians sha! People like to bother themselves with irrelevant issues. Show business is about looking good and protecting an image so what’s the big deal if they decide to update their looks?

I wouldn’t subject my body under such extremities but i wouldn’t lampoon others for doing it.

I'm sure that if most of you had the money and opportunity, you’ll do the same damn thing! It doesn't change the person you are inside.

This is all just so unnecessary. It is their Life, Body and Money. Let them be. Nawa!

Or was it in 2013 that PHCN was unbundled? Is that what you meant by since the time of NEPA? Either way, this is 2016 and it's not possible for that card not to have finished since if you've not been tapping directly from the source

So kindly quit being an hypocrite and keep tapping/stealing from the source until you get a new meter.
