I bought that hands free one that you wear with the baby in the front and checked in my stroller and baby seat. Best decision ever because I had my hands free and dint have to push the stroller.

My baby slept all through too and they are not heavy at that stage.

how do you make your baby sleep easily. I don't know if this is normal. my three months baby cries n cries anytime he feels sleepy. I just think he should b able to fall asleep on his own without need for drama n trial whether its back or rocking on the hand.can't remember him falling asleep on his own by putting him on the bed in the past three weeks. is this OK? if not, how do I train him to sleep on his own n easily. at what age or weight do babies use midi size diaper. Pampers mini became too small for him but when I tried Huggies midi it was too big. till I got Huggies mini which is ok . someone told me Huggies stretches well that's why. I am considering changing to Prince n princesses or dry love, wanna ask mamas using them whether they stretch well like Huggies. otherwise maybe I consider midi size.

3 months is a bit too early to expect your baby to put himself to sleep.

Even advocates of sleep training say from 5 months.

Anyways don't worry. We all know motherhood is tough so stay encouraged. It gets easier, that I can promise you.

Is the vomit projectile vomit and is it very frequent, if yes, it may be reflux, why not seek a pediatrician's opinion.

I have also gone through your previous post and i cant find anything you did wrong by returning to the uk.You sent CBP a mail that you would need to go back to the uk to sort out some issues and return back a couple of days later and you posted this as their reply " However, ESTA does not guarantee entry. Which is the case with every visa holder trying to enter the Us, that the fact you have a visa does not mean automatic enry,the final entry approval rest with CBP?

thing about ESTA is its a visa waiver valid for 90 days at a time over a 2 year period. if you are going to be going in and out frequently, you are always advised to get a proper visa.

Anyways, the most important thing is for those going from visa waiver countries to learn from this, plan your trip within 3 months / 90 days to avoid overstaying your ESTA or having to leave and come back in

Just to share my story, I have left usa on 16th of April and travelled back on 20th of April, I have informed CBP due to my wife's pregnancy she can't travel back and she has 6 months entry she can get medical treatment as long as I am paying for it.

They have sent me to a room officer called my name and started shouting at me saying I know f.....g game this and that I told him I have emailed you guys he didn't wanna hear noting they have held me at Houston airport for 27 hours. Been shouted and humiliated and I'm the end they have sent me back so be careful guys. the reason I am sharing my story because I am devastated, I was just honest with them and what I got for been honest.CBP officer said its illegal to have baby in USA he was obviously lying one after another I was treated like an criminal at Houston Airport and in the end sent back.May god bless you all.

reading your past post you were expressly told that there is black and white rule that prevents you from traveling back on ESTA, you should have listened to the email. Anyways sorry about your experience, like others have said at least your wife is there.

you know how you can move your leg as if you are riding a bicycle, when you are lying down, thats what i meant.

my baby then too found it hard to burp, what helped was carrying her to walk around while patting her back, after every meal even if she was already asleep

stay away from teething gel! give paracetamol drops, also buy teething ring and put it in the freezer and give him to chew, is it the upper teeth coming out, those are usually the troublesome ones, but it will pass in like a week

those things are not good for babies. it is a phase! it will pass latest by 3 months, what you can do in the interim is to burp very well after each meal, put him/her on the tummy supervised cuz of SID, use anticolic bottles if you are using bottles, hold the legs up in a bicycle motion

20kg in 2 weeks is not only unrealistic, it is also unhealthy. go and buy a waist cincher for the event.

my advice will be to start a lifestyle change today working towards a longer term goal

exercise 4/5 times a week, if you cant go to a gym, buy work out DVDs on konga,or even a skipping rope and start there. cook your own meals and avoid eating out, eat a lot of beans, sweet potatoes with ugwu, unriple plantain with ugwu, boiled egg whites, salads, moin moin, wheat bread, etc

stay away from indomie, white rice, white bread and the likes

most importantly, remember it took you 9 months to put the weight on, you canot lose it in 2 weeks so give yourself time and trust the proces

this is what worked for me, i'v lost 10kg alone this year and as my daughter turns one year soon, i am happy and confident that i am already back to my pre pregnancy weight

I went to 5 different creche in Ikeja yesterday and I didn't see any with 1 nanny to 2 children. The closest I got was 1 nanny to 3 children and there were only 6 children in the creche with 2 nannies. However, i was told they were expecting 3 more infants aged 3 months, while mine will make them 4. When I asked how they'd do it with just the two nannies I saw there, the proprietress replied that she'd hire more hands.

3:1 is not bad esp if they have a supervisor. The professional ones are easier to find on the island (I think) cuz when I was looking I saw a lot of 2:1, I even saw some 1:1 and I can't remember seeing anyone that did not have cctv

If you can get a trusted nanny, it's better.

In creche where they have many babies, your baby won't be taken care of properly especially if she is the cry cry type, they will just abandon her to cry.

hence i always look for "professionally"creche, if its not one nanny to two children...NO No for me


for me trust is relative, if i cant leave a nanny with my AtM and pin and trust she wont defraud me, i will NEVER leave her alone with my child, because my child is more precious than my bank balance..

Depends on what's important to you. Mine was:

Ratio of nanny to babies (not more than 2:1 for babies under one or 3:1 for babies above 1)
CCTV monitoring
A coordinator / proprietress on ground
Schedule
Log book - tell me how many times my baby ate and what quantity, how many diaper change - wet and poop

creche definitely..just look for one that is run professionally and also has cctv monitor

Please, what's your take on the use of baby walkers?

My husband wants us to get one for my baby that is almost 5 months old. I read online that it should be used from when baby is 6 months old but he's not ready to hear. I also read on babycentre.co.uk that it is not good for babies at all, that it interferes with their development. She disturbs a lot and he feels getting a baby walker will make her busy and disturb less.

Anyone with experience on it's use should say something please. Thanks.

my baby did not use the walker and she took her first steps at 8 months, @ 9 months she could run

I always clean his tongue with q-tips and a saline solution but it doesn't look any better. I'm pretty sure its not milk residue. The doctor told me it was oral thrush resulting from the antibiotic IV I got during labour.

Get a second opinion, I had antibiotic Iv too during labor...doesn't matter, and If miconazole isn't clearing it and the baby isn't in any discomfort as you have mentioned the prob of it being thrush is very very very very low

Did you give your baby gripe water? Gripe water gave my baby hairy tongue which I thought was oral thrush too at the time

Mothers in the house is there any home remedy for oral thrush?? My 7 weeks old son has this white coating on his tongue his pedi recommended a gel that is not working. Please what else can I use??

are you sure its not milk residue, use the baby's wash cloth to clean his tongue and see if its better

ah, they are natural clingers o! evey body child and adult have diffeernt temperaments,s some are lovey feely others just want to be left alone. a friend of mine had twins,one could always stay on her own but the other liked to be carried, same mom, same hand, same method from day one! its just the way they are. just like bfeeding, some stop on their own, others want to die there. It may feel demanding but they are only small for a short time....enjoy it..


i read up a lot when i was overwhelmed a bit with my baby and my conclusion with hindsight is you cant spoil a baby

my baby liked to be carried a lot when she was a baby everyone said it was my fault, i spoilt her with hand....she started walking at 9 months and mobility came with a lot of independence, now its hard to hold her down esp now that i have weaned, i have no regrets for carrying her back then, they grow so fast
