I just got back from my financial appointment at Mihs. I paid my bills and was given a doctor's appointment for two weeks time. I tried bringing it forward but was told the only option was to use any of their smaller clinics for my prenatal classes so I guess I have to wait for two whole weeks.

Why not try the smaller clinics option? A friend that gave birth at Ben taub used a health center for her pre natal classes

I swear by medela pump in style esp if you plan to have other children or do exclusive. My friends used to be amazed at the quantity I pump in 5 mins. It's expensive but WORTH EVERY peNny. It also can be battery operated

You will need to buy a step down for it, except you buy 240v (specially on amazon) in which case you won't be able to use it till you get to naij

Please for those that got their infant ticket how did you manage it? I just called the airline and they gave me a quote of almost 370usd.
Some have said they booked return ticket instead for the baby, pls how did you do this because though i got a cheaper quote I was told a baby can't have a ticket alone, an infant ticket must be attached to an adult's. So how was this managed

Your baby ticket is ten percent of the full ticket cost for the day you are traveling, it's almost or already summer hence the cost of full tickets are high hence your baby's ticket is high

It depends on your travel date and class of ticket you have. I don't know that there's a trick to it. They calculate a percentage (10% I think) of the cost of a return ticket for the adult.
If your baby doesn't have a naija passport, you have to book a return ticket. They won't let you buy a one way ticket with a naija tourist visa in the US passport. When you get to naija, you can process a refund for the return leg.

It depends on the airline. It's mostly American airline most likely delta that will insist on a return ticket

Check the policy of the airline you will be flying. Most of them limits pregnant women from the 35th week

Hello house, I have been a silent reader for a very long time, I am 10wks pregnant with triplets. My Dr wants to do a cervical cerclage when I hit the 12 wks mark. Even though I have done a lot of research on this issue is there anyone who has experienced this and what was the reason for the procedure. Mama triplet. Congrats! Pls take the cerlage! Triplets can put a lot of pressure on the cervix, it's standard procedure most times for multiples more than 2.

After ttc you can't afford to take any chances!

You will just take a shot after delivery to prevent antibodies from fighting your next baby

There's actually OPV on it. The only one that is not there is BCG. And my clinic sef dey do yanga, say I must collect hospital card for them first before immu card. No so I bring out my Texas card for them and with my straight face "their pediatrician in America (which I never met ) said they should use this card. So I'm using it.

Ok there was no opv in mine cuz my daughter missed opv0 and bcg

Though she took the bcg here but 0pv was gone past

Anyways look at the nigerian one and compare well!

Personally I won't advice a birthing center, if complications arose you may have to use Medicaid.

Try govt hospitals like Ben taub. Someone on the past thread used them, I also know someone that used it in 2012 and spent about $4k, it's just shared recovery room and diff drs at your appointment

It's advisable to start the bottle early. It doesnt hv to be with formula, expressed b.milk can be served in bottle.

My daughter never took the bottle either. She is over one now!

With my next baby will be starting the bottle at 2 wks

I actually was in houston in March!had a terrible experience at Poe. Then I was just like 16wks gone n trip was 4 vacation with my hubby.They didn't believe me n was held for 10 good hours.I'm sure that was the worst experience of my life. After so much interogation was given 31days to leave which I did cos my trip was 4 just 2wks.Though I told them I have plans to return but I must say I still have my fears after that experience which gave me nightmare for days. Get the nigerian card, there are some immunization that is peculiar to Africa that's not on that card. Like opv.

To go to skl even some schools here you need to show proof of immunization that's what that statement means

The infant seat is backwards facing and is the first car seat a child should use

The convertible is forward facing and should be used after the child has outgrown the infant seat

No hospital in the USA will discharge you without an infant seat

It's up to you if you want to check it in, if it's a travel set with your stroller and you have a lay over I will advice you don't check it in. It will be collected at the gate if the plane and given to you when you land

It can be due to diff reasons. No 1. Is your period may not be 28 days which is the standard they use in generating this due date by lmp

Personally I don't subscribe to eating so much food because you are trying to lactate

If you have a breast pump you can pump on a schedule say every one hour during the day and every 3 hours at night .

Milk is demand and supply so this will trick your body into increasing it's supply
