lynniebabes: I didn’t know about the health visa. No she is not sick. It’s just the lump. It doesn’t hurt. Well a close friend lost his life during surgery cos power went off. I wish she is grown I would have let her go by herself since she is a citizen. I just need her to be safe. I don’t trust Nigerian health system. try the UK, the visa process is straightforward and the health care is very good too and cheaper than the USA |

SmartKitty: US Travel Ban May Last Until 2021 international travel will be very challenging until the coronavirus pandemic is over worldwide in 18 to 24 months (once we have herd immunity, preferably through a vaccine or the virus has gone through the population).
It is challenging for leisure travelers to plan trips due to possible second or third waves that may suddenly make transit points non-accessible or destination countries borders closed or requiring quarantine upon arrival.
I would be very hesitant to book any travel now beyond domestic within the United States or perhaps within Schengen countries in Europe (for later this year).
Perhaps it is better to start planning for trips in 2021 and just write off 2020 https://loyaltylobby.com/2020/05/05/us-travel-ban-may-last-until-2021/ from your own link quoted above Steven Mnuchin, the US Treasury secretary, said it was “too hard to tell” if the US will loosen international travel restrictions affecting Asia and Europe this year, even as measures limiting domestic economic activity are lifted Is your IQ below zero or you have comprehension problems?? |

SmartKitty: The worse thing you can do now during this virus situation is to travel to US and to take your child to an American hospital. Here we all avoid to go to the hospital because many who went, are dead. Also the priority for admission is corona, no place for any other health problem. BTW we are informed here, our borders are closed, no foreigners are admitted. Good luck, I am sure Nigeria has very good doctors and they can do the surgery. US borders are not closed The US has banned the entry of all foreign nationals who have travelled to China, Iran, Austria, Belgium, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Italy, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, the Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, the UK or Ireland 14 days before their arrival The borders btw the US and canada and the USA and Mexico in addition |

Abuleoshi: You guys requesting to pay up the discount you were given are the real MVPs. Someone got 10k discount under Jonathan when dollar was N160 to 1 Dollar. Now, same person will pay the 10k discount under Buhari when Dollar is N360 Nobi small thing ooh. For us, we got discount at Houston North West, because of the high rate of denials based on discount received, we didn't bother going to renew our USA visa when my wife got pregnant again. We Jejely went to apply for Canadian visa, gave birth to out baby in Canada in ending of last year, paid ALL our bills and we are back to Nigeria. Our accounting books where Houston North West discount appeared have long been closed and we have moved on. How do you give me discount cos I am a cash paying patient, then because Trump does not like my skin colour, I will go and pay a discount I LEGALLY received because of US Visa? Never ooh. There are too many countries to travel to that I can't be bothered with US Visa. Una well done sha i agree |

ty01: Hello All,
Just as I promised, I am here to provide feedback on my Canada visa application.
Summary is that I was refused with just one singular claim that they are not sure I will leave Canada after my visit. This decision is ridiculous and baseless and I think this Canada visit visa thing is fast becoming a gamble and a game of luck.
Please I apologise if I sound pompous and proud, it is never my intention, I just want to say some things to help others and bring home my point. Documents submitted: 1. Employment letter and promotion letters over many years 2. Very strong travel history: been to over 20 countries (US, UK, Singapore, Belgium, France, Germany, Portugal, Netherlands, South Africa, etc. Some of these are family vacation. 3. Letter of introduction from my employer stating that my leave days and that I’ll be paid while I’m away. 4. 6 months Pay slips. 5. 6 months bank statement with millions as bank balance. 7. 4 months BOA account statement. 8. Itinerary for 10 days. 9. Hotel and flight bookings. 10. US and Nigeria passport of my son + Receipts of all hospital bills. 11. Two family pictures. 12. Budget showing amount available for the trip, expenses for the trip and the estimated balance after the trip which was in millions as well. 13. Birth certificates for the kids.. 14. Two CofO 15. Police character certificate 16. A very compelling cover letter. 17. Etc.
I have a brother and sister in law who are permanent residents in Canada which I was upfront with. I stated this in my cover letter and told the VO I won’t be seeing them because the trip is strictly a family vacation and the logistics of moving ourselves from Ontario to Calgary may be too demanding. Perhaps that’s why the VO didn’t raise my tie to Canada as a problem.
In my opinion I believe I have put up a good application, but perhaps I was wrong. This is the first ever VISA refusal I have got in my life and it’s just hilarious to think I’ll decide to leave my good job for that cold; I might appeal this decision. For now, I will just jejely carry my family to Dubai for the Christmas break and think of next steps later..
Thanks to @ozzz, @jj17cv and a host of others for their contributions and insights. God bless you all. All the recent denials seem to have American babies in common. |

i noticed a lot of us with long application days that are still pending or recently denied have kids that were born in the US in common, maybe they think we are applying for canada as a hedge against the US denial/ renewal / fight against birth tourism.
Or the US has marked our names on their system for administrative questioning and Canada wants no part of the drama |

my husband andAI are well traveled (over 16 countries) with good jobs, we also have valid usa and uk visa
My question is should we submit individual applications or together?
I ask because the family checklist gives only one person the chance to submit sufficient documents?
Is this ok?
Thanks for your response |

EasyMoney007: The school sent am email saying they would send an invoice for school fees payment by August ending and that we are not to pay tuition fee till after visa is out. But I do have a receipt of payments done for registration to the institution.
The tuition is approximately 440k and I would be staying with my uncle for the 3weeks in UK so I won't be paying for accommodation. Do you think the 1m is ok?
I am considering getting a letter from a contribution or smtin to backup the 1.5m is that fine?
Do I need to still add my aunt as a second sponsor on my application?
Thanks. Looking forward to reading from you soonest! Up to you really... my budget was 2,000 pounds. my visit is a week...my school fees is about 10m in total and i already paid a good part of it. Just make sure all your documents are logical, that is what matters |

EasyMoney007: Hello. Being reading alot here and I am glad I am learning. Please I would love to ask.
I intend to do a module of my masters program in UK which I would be spending just 3weeks. I have admission letter and letter from the school addressing the embassy. I have a letter of Introduction from my place of work, my payslip, and employment letter set.
I have an uncle I intend to stay with during my period of stay, he is a citizen and has sent me his statement of account, letter of sponsor and international passport data page.
My question now is; I have just 1million in my personal account, would that be ok for me? As accommodation is already taking care off by my uncle who I would be staying with. This amount was from my savings and mothers contribution.
I have someone who wants to send me 1.5m but I am sceptic as to what explanation I would have to backup such funds in my account.
Please I need a guide on how best to explain or indicate on a narration for such funds or should I let it go?
I also have an aunty in the U.S who wants to send her documents too as a second sponsor. Would that be an added advantage ?
Thanks. I look forward to reading your feedback. Hi, I recently applied for a short term student visa just like you to do a week's course at a top uni in the UK.. I will keep Posted on my application, as I have gotten an email that its been concluded. Currently waiting for pickup. I advise you pay for the course (if it is refundable), also put an itinerary or timetable from the school of the course activities. also your tenancy agreement and proof of any family ties you have here... 1m will be sufficient depending on you and your budget. This budget should be included.. and also how it relates to your current salary. |
