colic most likely...burp her well after each feed, if you are using bottle try to buy anti colic bottles, u can lie her on her tummy (supervised) because of SIDS, but don't worry, it passes at about 3 months

Still trying to wean mine. He refuse taking only milk so I have to wake up in the night to make cereal for him

feeding my baby cereal at night, really helped me wean her fast, cuz 1. it was more filling than b.milk so she started waking up once or twice on a bad night instead of every two hours, secondly it reduced my production because i was down to feeding only twice a day. after two weeks of feeding her cereal at night, i started b.feeding only once a day for a week and i just stopped like that. i had no heaviness. no soreness of the boobs nothing! and my baby is an international b.milk lover

infact since i weaned her off the boobs completely, she started sleeping at night and she also started eating better

what i did with the cereal was to mix it with the milk and cover it in her plate near my bed with hot water flask, so all i did was to add the water and stir.

They go through diaper a lot at this stage... Cuz they poop after every feed. It will soon pass. The walmart / SAMs club brand are not as good but for the stage you are in where you changed often it doesn't really matter. But if you are shipping to Naija I will advice you mix with Huggies or pampers especially at the size 3 stage.

Gudmorning all mum's in the house.am just joining this group for the first time and am happy to be a member, pls my baby girl will be 1yr next week 24th of this month and she's not yet crawling, standing and walking, hav bn seeing paediatrician she only told me dat the baby is having delay in milestone and I should be keeping some toys in her front which am doing and she's making an attempt but can't move, so have bn so worried. Anyway presently she has bn running temperature, she throws up, don't eat, and passing a watering sheet, the only thing she like taking is water. She went for an admission like month towards ending and they treated her malaria and yesterday a text was carried out on her and no malaria fund. Pls mum's advice me on what to do because am just confused. She's my first child. Thanks

please how do you handle these government officials giving polio vaccine to children street to street. do you allow your children to be immunization by them even though you have a vaccine routine with your hospital?

I didnt allow my child, since l know he is up to date with his vaccines, however, l have another vaccine appointment for him at his 18th month. People around felt l was doing 'l too know' because they told me there is no over dose of it and that what they are giving is a different one, which has not been given before. i trust my hospital to give him in his next appt if he needs it.

Please how do you handle this?

personally i wont, i will rather stick to the immunization timetable

my baby is 10 and half months now. i started exercising off and on when she was 3 months but i started the dedicated 5 times a week workouts / eating clean when she was 8 months and i realized my tummy was not ok as a yummy mummy and i still couldnt fit into my pre-pregnancy clothes.

now my tummy is back to shape and i can fit into all my clothes

by eat clean i mean i eat healthy, for example lots of steamed ugwus with boiled sweet potato or unripe plantain, fish, skinless chicken, beans without palmoil, egg whites, moin-moin, etc.

I have tried pumping. Initially,I used Avent manual breast pump I couldn't pump any milk just a few drops that didn't enter into the bottle then I tried tommee tippee single electric breast pump & had d same result. I know I'm not producing much but I don't know why I can't seem to pump out the little I've produced.

Continue, when I started I had few drops too. Infact I used to wonder why my baby will be on the breast for hours until pumping made me realize I had no supply.

Just do it religiously on a schedule- a 2 hr schedule, u will see change. It's a demand and supply process. If you demand it, your body will supply it

@bossladyMo, please do you know of any particular pharmacy where one can get Mothers milk tea. I have looked for it in a few pharmacies but they don't seem to know it. I am in the same boat as igb400 but my b.reast milk didn't come in until. One week postpartum so I had to supplement with formula. I've tried pap, tea, even palmwine, fenugreek capsules, peppersoup,oatmeal, coconut water , breast pump(manual & electric)but I haven't seen any improvement. Even when my son is having hiccups and I offer him my b.reast milk, he doesn't get relief until I gv him formula or just allow the hiccup to go on its own. I'm so frustrated at the whole thing because I had intended to exclusively breastfeed him till he's 6months. I'm still looking for ways to increase my supply with the hope that I can wean him off d formula and still exclusively breastfeed. Please ladies,I need suggestions on other ways I can increase my supply. Thanks in advance

b-milk is a demand and supply process. the formula you are giving is interfering with your production. you don't even need to eat and be fat because you want to nurse. my advice is by a pump and pump on a schedule (every two hours for now) to trick your body into thinking your baby needs that milk every two hours. trust me your supply will respond.

i had the same issue and under three days of religiously pumping round the clock every two hours, i was lactating like a cow

i drank lots of water and plain tea...no pounded yam, no pap

Hello mums. I just bought a big tin of Enfamil milk and Frisogold rice for my exclusive breastfed baby that just clocked 6 months. My baby is refusing to drink the milk. He squeezes his face anytime i give him in his sippy cup and would not even try it again. Pls wat do i do.

does he drink water from that sippy cup? if yes, try another milk. my baby hated enfamil. if no try a different sippy cup or a baby bottle
