Hiddink to take consultancy role with Blues?
Chelsea's interim coach Guus Hiddink is considering a consultant's role with the club when his current deal expires at the end of the season.

And a potential barrier to the Dutchman remaining at Stamford Bridge in some capacity has been removed after a key figure in the Russian FA claimed he was happy for him to continue his dual role.

NYSC › Re: Help Please! Advice For Expatriate Going For Nysc by FBS: 8:30am On Mar 25, 2009
First things first. . .have you a Nigerian passport?
If yes, then I understand your plight but NYSC is certainly not the worst thing that can happen to you. Personally, at first (or maybe even through the whole service year) didnt like it, but somehow later, got to see the positives in it. It can really be fun sometimes.

The early morning excercises aint bad. keeping yourself fit is no crime. Do you know that in some countries you are required by law to serve in the army for 1-2 yrs. Now, that is what I call gruelsome.

It was difficult at first after spending years abroad but you will adjust. It's not just for your FatherLand or MotherLand. It is for you. I'm proud that I did my NYSC and my dear, that was some years ago.

PS: You may end up serving in Abuja, which may make things easier for you. The only thing I did not get is you calling yourself and expatriate. Expatriates dont serve in Nigeria.

Hope this helps.

Blues chief tight-lipped on Ancelotti link

Chelsea chief executive Peter Kenyon has refused to comment on rumours linking AC Milan head coach Carlo Ancelotti with a Stamford Bridge move in the summer.

Carlo Ancelotti: Hinted that he may not stay at Milan forever.
The Milan coach had triggered speculation by hinting to Italian press that he is unlikely to remain at the San Siro indefinitely. He is expected to be a Chelsea target in the summer when Dutch coach Guus Hiddink ends his temporary role with the Blues to concentrate on his full-time role with the Russia national side.

Kenyon, in New York alongside AC Milan director Umberto Gandini to announce a four-team pre-season tournament in the United States this July involving their clubs, Inter Milan and Mexico's Club America, said Chelsea's focus remained on the current campaign with Hiddink in charge.

"I don't want to comment," Kenyon said, without ruling out the possibility. "We are concentrating on Guus being with us until the end of the season.

"He's continuing to progress and win us games so we are all very delighted. The whole agreement was for a short-term, interim period and that is how it remains."

Ancelotti had sparked the fresh speculation when he told Corriere dello Sport: "Of course, I will not coach Milan forever, anything is possible.

"I would like to say goodbye with a hug, but now is not the time and our working relationship is completely in tune."

Kenyon helped to announce the inaugural World Football Challenge, which will see Chelsea play three games in six days across three time zones.

Chelsea, who are also scheduled to play Major League Soccer club Seattle Sounders in the Pacific Northwest on July 18, open up against Jose Mourinho's Inter at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena, California, on Tuesday, July 21 before moving to the east coast to face AC Milan on Friday, July 24 in Baltimore.

The English side then heads west again to Texas to face Club America at the new Dallas Cowboys' stadium in Arlington on Sunday, July 26.

"This is the fifth time out of the last six years that Chelsea have been in the US for our pre-season," Kenyon said.

"We're delighted to be part of this event, the first ever World Football Challenge.

"I think this takes pre-season to a new level. With us will come every one of our first-team squad - our new signings and our existing signings

very very interesting matches.

As for the next manager, me dont even know what to say. One thing is this, we need a long term strategy and not this fire brigade approach.

Most of us expect GH to do some magic but he is not a magician and lets face it, he messed up with the formation especially against T'ham. Up till now me just no understand what Belleti of all people was doing on the wings. I reasoned it was for him to do some defensive duties but . . .well the rest is history.

With Fulham thrashing MU, one would expect GH to go for the kill but he had other ideas that of course failed. Who is to take the blame? The whole squad starting of course from the manager. Hope he learns from this.

Even though we have not been playing particularly well Chelsea, was at least securing the necessary points and yes, the team spirit is still there.

There will be wholesome sales at the Bridge this summer.

Is the title race over? I say no. In fact its getting more and more interesting and I remember last year saying: This is going to be a nervous season. Higly unpredictable! Chelsea supporters, get ready.

The stage is now perfectly set for the 2 top teams (MU & L'pool) to stutter but again, GH and Chelsea will have to be ready to go for the kill.

The Arses are not to be taken into consideration. tongue

@Ibime, never believed I will say this, but I truly see your point.   cool
If GH is the man for Chelsea, so be it, but seriously he has to work on his selections and formation. Today was a mess up. The only excuse I can grant him is that he is still learning the english football. This is not russia!!! damn.
Chelsea is still freaking 4 points behind and could possibly slip to 3rd place if the winniepools win. AV should bera win 2moro.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Chelsea Fans: Identify Yourselves Here by FBS: 6:36pm On Mar 21, 2009
There is nothing wrong saying the obvious. GH got it wrong this time with the formation and selection. Nevertheless, the team is clearly very much together and Chelsea obviously cannot win all matches.
Fulham just thrashed manure 2-nada. (what of the tallk of getting back to form after receiving a massive thrashing from the Pools?).
I call that double thrashing. Paul Scholes of all peoples acting like a keeper? ridiculous.

This is Chelsea's only 3rd defeat away this season. Call it a london upset. wink

I'm off to play football manager. It helps. anyone wanna join? cheesy
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Chelsea Fans: Identify Yourselves Here by FBS: 6:29pm On Mar 21, 2009
its freaking annoying when idiots like this spew rubbish.

If you ask me, I don't see GH staying behind his tenure. He completely messed up with the formation. What was Belleti of all people doing on the wings?
I initially thought it was for defensive duties. I'm livid.

Q, is a disgrace. Let him get the phuck back to Inter for onward delivery to Porto. Kalou is a far better player in matches likes this.
Why change a winning formula?

Spurs get a first win against Chelsea in how many years? oh shitttttt

I think Chelsea just blew it (even though I'm hoping not). freaking nonsense. This is what I called bubble bust. These guys wan spoil person weekend.
Let me go for a walk.
