I4 or V6? Can it go for 400k? |
jerryfemi88:You're nothing but a confirmed nincompoop meant for a psychiatric hospital or better still, a zoological garden. When I see something wrong, I have the moral obligation to point it out. That's why there is room for comments here. Many people, including me have been helped by such comments. That is the beauty of this forum. If you don't want comments on your posts, then go somewhere else. If you want me to suggest to you, I can help you. Moronic fellow like you. I have left you with your foolish or suspicious deals. |
jerryfemi88:I didn't insult you. I only made my observations known but with the way you responded, I think you're the biggest fool I have ever seen on this forum, taking car interior pix from outside the car, thru the windscreen. What type of dealer or seller does that? Sure, anybody who wants to buy will inspect before paying but buyers will first be moved by the pictures they see before coming for inspection. Even a buyer on your street will not want to waste his time coming for inspection when he is not moved by the pictures online, let alone someone coming from Abuja, PH, Benin or other far away places. |
dosht:Please, it wasn't your fault. Those guys are professionals and they may even be using something and anybody can be a victim. I am speaking from experience. My own case was in Port Harcourt, about 6 years ago. The same scenario. It was in front of University of Port Harcourt. I had about 16k in my wallet, which I was going to use to buy a phone. The money was in my wallet and the wallet was in my laptop bag which was zipped. There was only one chance left in the front. Immediately the car moved, the door opened and I was struggling to have it locked but it never locked again. My bag which had the wallet inside was on my laps. I didn't give it to anybody and nobody took it from me. As I was struggling with the door, the car was still moving. I expected the driver to at least come down to attend to the door but he never did so I I asked the driver to drop me and he did willingly without even bothering. The whole incident didn't take more than 2 minutes at most. I boarded a bus this time around and continued my journey. When I got to NTA Road, Mgbuoba and the conductor asked for his money, I unzipped my bag, opened my wallet but alas, no kobo was left. I was dumb founded. Till date, I still can't fathom how the guy was able to unzip the laptop bag on my laps and also get on to the wallet which was deep inside the bag to get the money without my knowledge within that short period of time. You were even lucky they left you with some money. In my own case, I had to borrow money when I got to my destination to pay the transport fare. One of the family friends I told eventually gave me one nice phone, even better than the one I had planned to buy. God will help you but be rest assured they will soon meet their Waterloo. |
Wow! That's great. |
EEA1:Good point but we were very close then and when he called me his car broke down, I couldn't just look away and I didn't lend him the money. I gave it to him. I see why some people will never trust anybody with money, not even their own brother but that doesn't mean there are no longer trustworthy persons. The car I was using before the one I sold was bought from Lagos and registered by someone introduced to me by a friend. I never saw him face to face until he delivered the car to me in PH. That's someone I didn't even know. So I never imagined someone I know would do that. But scammers now target people they know to some extent as they are more likely to fall into their hands than strangers. That's one thing to learn from this. |
Temidayo9:Yeah, that's true. |
I will like to share my experience here while also expecting others to share there's so we can all learn from it. There can be no doubt that one of the easiest and arguably cheapest places to buy a car is online. But it is full of scammers who are bent on dispossessing you of your hard earned money. I personally have fallen prey once when I trustingly sent 160k to a one-time primary and secondary school classmate as part payment for a car in Lagos. The last time we saw was when we were in JS1. His dad was the Principal of my school before he was transferred. There was a time he called me, which was about 23 years after we last saw saying he was dealing in cars. He was always sending me pictures of different cars. About 3 months before he finally duped me, he called to say his car had broken down on his way to Abuja and that he was stranded. He asked me to help him with some money. For old times sake, I sent him some cash. Later, he persuaded me he could help me get a better car at a cheaper rate. He sent the pix and I loved what I saw. I sold my old car and was ready to buy the car. According to him, I needed to send some money ahead. The payment was to let the owner wait for me to come to Lagos so he would know I was serious and not be tempted to sell it to other prospective buyers. I sent the money and as we speak, the rest is history. The first thing he did was to stop picking my calls and stop responding to my watshapp messages. I then had to call one of our senior colleagues back in our secondary school days, whom we all respected. He called him but he just kept giving excuses like he travelled, he was not in town, the owner of the car had been given the money but he hadn't seen him to collect it and all sorts of rubbish. At a point, I got his mom's number whom I called but the woman was only pleading with me each time I called him. Eventually, we even found out the scammer was not in Lagos as he had claimed. He was said to have been living in Ibadan. To cut the long story short, I had to forget about the money. Since I stopped calling him, which is over a year now, he has neither called nor sent a text to me. I just left it for God whom I know will repay him. We also found out he lives on scamming people. The only thing that surprises me now is that about 3 months after he duped me, he no longer uses his watshapp. His Facebook page where he always posted messages and pictures of cars too has not been updated since then. I also know some of some who will tell you dont pay anything except for the money for fuelling or delivery and that when the car is delivered and you like it, you should pay the money for the car but I never fell for such. Please share other methods or experience you may have had or know so we can all learn from you. Thanks. |

Engine pix |
seanaddy:I am coming frm outside Lagos that's why I am particular abt d price before coming. If it cn go for 300k then I wil come. |
I don't understand this your pattern. Is it your car or you're selling for someone. In either case, why won't you open the doors and take pix of the interior? You took pix of the interior from outside the car through the windshield as if it's a car you saw parked somewhere and you can't go close to or you don't have access to. You also didn't take the pix of the engine probably because you can't open the bonnet. It's either you are not genuine or you are not serious but I smell something is wrong somewhere. |
The issue has been resolved and we didn't need to close the account. Thanks all. |
Can it go for 300k |
talk4free:Yes. I agree with you. I remember a nairalander who commented then that fixing a pipeline is not rocket science and so could be easily done. If you also follow NDAs comments lately, you'll discover that they claimed they warned Shell not to fix the bombed pipelines but Shell went ahead so they bombed them again. It's a question of who gets tired first, government and the oil companies or militants. |
330k can we deal? |
Glo? Never again! You can't do anything with the data. |
What's ur last price? Can I pay 300k? |
What's it with this signal? |
Hmmm. Dirty and unkempt seat, no AC. Those are the things visible to the eye. I wonder what the state of the engine will be. Please we don't want another air crash. |
Something is wrong somewhere. Why is this car still unsold since last year. |
Any issues with the car? What do I need to fix? |
It's a known fact that good health begins with drinking good water. Sad enough, many of the popular potable brands are far from pure when subjected to lab analysis. For me, my favourite used to be Eva but I think I now prefer Nestlé. What's your favourite bottled water brand and why? Please share your experience without necessarily damaging a particular brand. Thanks. |
I quite agree most job adverts on the site are scams but it is not true that all are scams. At least I know five persons who got a job through jiji and their salary ranges from 65 to 100k and 3 of them were even given nice accommodation in Port Harcourt. The bottom line is just be careful about how you go about it. I for one will know merely from the invitation whether it's genuine or not. |
For the first time, I think Fayose is on point. Other state Governors should follow suit and this will send a signal to the Baba in Abuja. United, there's nothing we cannot achieve. Divided, there's little or nothing we can achieve. My point is, other Governors in the East, south and west should follow suit. Fayose should not be left alone in this like a lone voice in the wilderness just because other Governors are scared. He has dictated the pace and following shouldn't be difficult. |
Is the AC chilling |
Any issues? what is the last price? |
How much? |
I just hate comedies. |
coolsix:Yeah, I got the same from my bank. They are increasing their spending limit. I don't think it's a general issue. |
Where you may have a problem is in the coursework. Believe me, you need to concentrate on the coursework to make a good grade. That is when you will attend lectures, take tests and exams. If you combine two at this point, there may be clash during exams and it wont be funny. My best advice is leave a space of one year between them. In that case you will have been through with the coursework for the first one before you start the coursework for the second. And there's the likelihood that you'll even finish the two programmes at the same time, A friend started his programme over a year before I started mine in another school but we ended up finishing same time. Thank me later. |
Almost everyone has the same complaint. MTN is a huge scam. Imagine how much they must have made with this scam in just a short time. I stopped using them and switched to ETISALAT when I discovered their ways were crooked. I was just thinking about giving them a second chance because of these new data plans but thank God for Nairaland, I am now informed that the leopard cannot change its skin. My advice is that people should bombard NCC with complaints. Maybe they will need Nelson Mandela to plead their case this time around. Nonsense! |
