Oh Lord! when will there be a revolution in Nigeria? |
aolawale025:The contracts were approved by "Mr. ThemoreUlook De'LessUsee" ![]() |
princeadams11:My belief is that marriage is meant to be a partnership. I'm still wondering why Nigerians believe that when it comes to spending and other responsibilities, then the men should bear it all, but when it comes to other issues that don't involve money or stress, both wives and husbands are equal. Anyway, it looks like it's an African thing. Come to the western world and face realities. ![]() And for your information, spending all your hard-earned money while your wife keeps hers does not guarantee respect from her. There are other things that would earn you respect from your wife aside that. No matter how much you're spending, your respect will diminish once you're found to be unfaithful to your wife. Ask married people ![]() |
CEEcey:Clap for yourself then come back and tell us your experience once you're married. |
Icon4s:Well done bro. I studied accounting initially, before I went back to the Uni to study Computer Science. I remember when I was doing ICAN in Nigeria, the guys that had Economics as their first degree, who started from Foundation level were doing very well, most especially those with a first or 2.1. I think the versatility of Economics may place place such graduates at a better advantage in analyzing economic situations, better than Accounting graduates. In courses like Financial Management (FM), you need more than an Accounting or Finance brain to do Financial analysis and make good recommendations and I think that's why Economics is part of the courses studied in Accounting. Overall, I think a person's career aspirations will determine what is the better of both for him or her. However, if I could turn back the "hands of time" I would study Economics as first degree and then go for Accounting professional qualifications. |
God have mercy! So many natural disasters these days. |

blackberlin:I had the same experience with my cousin in front of our house on Old Yaba road, Adekunle, Ebute Metta, in 1989. If not that we were quick to run into the house we would have been arrested and classified as "criminals". The year before, I was kept in Kirikiri ATM cell for 5 days because they raided a street I was passing through. All the people arrested were innocent. My solicitor ended up representing all the arrested people in court before we were set free. |
TheShopKeeper:Good observation matey! |

nairaman66:I sincerely believe that we can make the best of the situation, if all bitterness is put aside. It's unfortunate that some democratically elected MPs still find it difficult to get used to the fact that the electorates determine how the country is being run. Once voting to leave was confirmed and Article 50 triggered, they should learn to "get used" to the situation and make the best of it. |
nairaman66:The only disaster I foresee is if the MPs, mostly those in the opposition parties do not allow smooth transition into Brexit, which seems to be the case at the moment, then we could find ourselves where we may not like as a country. ![]() |
ruggedised:oooops!!!!! |
Aiye le ooo, ibosi ooo! Aiye d'ori k'odoo, ko yemi mo. This guy really needs help. I pray God will show him mercy and deliver him from bondage. So sad! |

The only people I pity in Nigeria are innocent children and people with learning disabilities. There are too many idiotic people in that country. The way some people even argue on different forums shows so much lack of knowledge. No wonder people are taken for a ride by all the looting politicians. How can people want to change "six" with "half a dozen" and call that change? Surprisingly, some people who were teenagers in Nigeria in the early eighties who saw the antecedents of all these politicians are still stupidly clamouring for the same set of people. |
IbnuUche:I actually did it off-head. (No boasting). ![]() |

In these days and age, knowing how to write codes is not enough to succeed in the Computing world. Businesses are looking for people with soft skills, business domains knowledge and ability to communicate effectively with all levels of management. In my day to day work with clients as an SAP Finance & Controlling consultant, I realize that ability to effectively communicate logical and technical stuff to business managers and system users is of paramount importance to succeed out there. Knowledge of Business process is very important, except you are going to deal with only scientists throughout your professional life, then you may not bother about this. What about people skills? Do you know that you need to know how to relate professionally and socially with different kinds of people in the work place and most especially your clients in order to succeed? Well, from my own experience, most people don't like change and that comes to play in the Computing world in a big way. There are people who still believe that computers are "intruders" and a " nuisance" to the usual way of doing things and will do a lot to frustrate the "So-called" new technology project your unit or organisation has been employed to implement. Therefore, the ability to manage and relate well with different types of clients will contribute immensely to your success as a Computing professional. That's my one cent ![]() |
