I don't need visa to go to Naija like Oyinbos. My green passport comes handy ![]() |
There's no need to complain about all the bunch of stupid people here. I live near New Cross and I wish I could take a picture of my area, street and house (both exterior and interior). Without boasting, some of you guys talking rubbish here could ONLY dream of living in the kind of house and area. I lived in SW for over 8 years and was always complaining because I had to drive down to Peckham to shop for Nigerian food in bulk. Now it takes me less than 10 minutes to drive down to Peckham and I am definitely loving it. When friends come to my area and house for the first time, they are always amazed, to know that such type of houses are built around there. I am so sick and tired of all the stupid people on this Nairaland Forum. No wonder Nigerian leaders are taking the people for a ride. There are too many foolish people in nigeria and this forum. |

Only God almighty fully understands what's wrong with Nigeria. I have stopped cracking my brain a long time ago. I Just read, hear, watch, sigh!!! and then pray to God who can make the impossible possible to do have mercy on Nigeria. |
Without any doubt, this is the funniest thread I've ever seen. My ribs are aching as a result of laughter. ![]() |
On this type of forum, it's very easy to know those whose parents or themselves are involved in money stealing and corruption. All that is needed is "shining one's eye and brain". |
The more I read this story the more angry I get. May be I should take a break before people around me take notice. I don't think I've ever been this offended about a Naija's saga before. |
Livvvvy:Are you a mind reader? Exactly what I was thinking before logging on to the forum. I must say that I have been psychologically traumatised by this lady's ordeal. I wonder what would have happened if she were to be a man on that day, it may have become an "accidental discharge" case. I struggle very hard in my heart not to curse the people involved in this case. My uncle is one of the top guns in Nigerian Navy, but I'm sure he will never allow that to happen in his convoy. He's too much a gentle man and I sometimes wonder how he came to be a military man. This "Arogunyawere" man and his mentally deranged imbeciles should face the music . |
twistbo:I like that, very smart! |
I "smell a rat", a big rat for that matter. BUYERS BEWARE!!!! |
In my days at the Uni here, the Asians and a few Nigerians were top of my class. I think the Asians are well blessed in the areas of sciences. The guys in my class were "Programming" genius. Studying Computer Science with them in the same class actually made it more challenging. I still think because of name and our people's attitudes towards paper qualifications, it is advisable to go west. A lot of very brilliant students still come here to study in the top universities from Asia. If you plan to work in the UK, then you stand a better chance if you study here. I've worked with colleagues who came here for their Masters and ended up getting jobs in good companies, including one of my present colleagues who was secured a work permit by my company. |
Babalaw0: Mustay: I love this Nairaland. Anytime I need a good laugh, I know where to go! |
Oh! God, I pray today for everyone on this forum to be touched by your Spirit, so that their eyes are open to the truth of your reality and doubtless power. As you have done in my life in the last few days, bringing to pass the prophesies you gave me personally and those through Pastor Adeboye, please Lord, do so in their lives and let them know that these are not child's play or joking matters. Because Lord no man in his right senses would not want the truth as the truth makes one free indeed. Let them know your love and reality of your power and grace. I pray this in the name of our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ. Amen! |

I 've personally never experienced or seen any maltreatment on BA, but that does not mean they are perfect. The only thing that really irritates me is how our fellow Nigerians disgrace us like someone mentioned above. Many people who haven't lived abroad do not show courtesy or politeness when addressing the hosts/hostesses, why? because that's not even part of our culture at home. All we know is to order people around like houseboys/girls. I sometimes cringe within me when I see this. We need to educate our people more on showing courtesy and respect, most especially the use of the word "PLEASE" |
N3,000,000 to invest in Printing business in Lagos. Is it enough to start or not? Please advise. |
iamok:This is the funniest reply to a post I've seen recently. I've almost fainted laughing very hard. ![]() |
segunpc:"awilo logomba" ko, "awilo sharp-sharp" ni. Don't mind me, just kidding! ![]() |
I'm from Ondo state, Ondo town precisely. That means I'm an "egin", if you know what I mean. ![]() |
I support "Egin" 1000 times over. Not because I am from Ondo Town myself (I am very proud of it anyway), but because where there's no vision (or selfless visionary), the people perish. The problem with Nigeria as we all know is not making money, but how the money is spent. The Nigerian general mentality is that of "poverty" which has made most of our leaders very greedy. Most of our stupid past leaders were not visionaries, because a visionary will not stack billions of dollars/GBP in foreign accounts when the people he/she leads live in abject poverty, with no basic ammenity available to them. Nigeria has the pontential of being the greatest country on earth if the leaders had allowed it. |
The blessing of God makes one rich and adds no sorrow. The problem with some people is not their daily bread, clothing and shelter, but the desire to be a "rich" man/woman at all cost. The love of money is the root of all evils and pathway to destruction and sorrow. |
If people can't use money for God who owns everything then I wonder. The earth is the Lord's and all in it. I wish the church had N700 billion to spend this way and for other things to the glory of God. Did the money not come from the people who use the auditorium or did they get money from the government (oil money)? Who ever is not happy should take the case to God, period. |
This is the hardest I've laughed in a very long time. My stomach aches badly because of laughter. Lagos for show indeed!!! |

A female drug trafficker, Ifeoma Daniel Joy, at the weekend slumped and died at the departure hall of the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Ikeja, Lagos. Joy, aged 29, was said to have died after one of the wraps of drugs she ingested burst while preparing to board an Ethiopian airline heading for Dubai, United Arab Emirates. A release signed by Ofoyeju Mitchell, the Public Affairs Officer of the Nigeria Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA), stated that the lady had ingested about 79 wraps of a narcotic drug that tested positive for cocaine and weighing 1.32 kilogrammes. Joy, a native of Ukwa in Ukwa Local Government Area of Abia State, resided at 1, Ohafia Road, Ikorodu, Lagos State. Her corpse, according to the release, was taken to the Lagos State University Teaching Hospital, where she was operated upon to evacuate the drugs from her stomach. Two other suspected drug traffickers, Raymond Mammah, aged 38, and Okonkwo Samuel, 23, who also ingested drugs, were arrested by the officials of the NDLEA at the airport at the weekend. Raymond, the release said, was discovered through X-ray to have swallowed 64 wraps of substances that proved positive for cocaine, while about to catch a flight to Guangzhou in China, while Okonkwo also confessed to have ingested 90 wraps of cocaine on his way to Amsterdam. Source: Nigerian Tribue 18-12-2007 I'm sure all these Couriers are aware of the dangers of swallowing drugs. I only pity the family of this lady. |

Teddy row protestors demand death Thousands of Sudanese, many carrying knives and sticks, have taken to the streets of Khartoum calling for the execution of British school teacher Gillian Gibbons, jailed over a teddy bear. Crowds demonstrated outside the presidential palace, saying the 15-day prison sentence imposed on Mrs Gibbons for allowing her class to call a teddy bear Mohammed was too lenient. The protesters streamed out of mosques after sermons, as pick-up trucks with loudspeakers blared messages against Mrs Gibbons, 54, from Liverpool. Hundreds of riot police were deployed as demonstrators massed in central Martyrs Square, outside the palace. "Shame, shame on the UK," protesters chanted, and they called for Mrs Gibbons' execution, saying, "No tolerance: Execution," and "Kill her, kill her by firing squad." The women's prison where Gibbons is being held is far from the site, as is the Unity High School where she taught, which is under heavy security protection. The protest flared despite vows by Sudanese security officials during Mrs Gibbons' trial, that threatened demonstrations after prayers would not take place. Some of the protesters carried green banners with the name of the Society for Support of the Prophet Muhammad, a previously unknown group. Some of the protesters, who one reporter at the scene said numbered as many as 10,000, carried clubs, knives and axes - but not automatic weapons, which some have carried at past government-condoned demonstrations, suggesting the rally was not organised by the government. During the sermons, the Muslim cleric at Khartoum's main Martyrs Mosque denounced Gibbons, saying she intentionally insulted Islam but he did not call for protests. "Imprisoning this lady does not satisfy the thirst of Muslims in Sudan. But we welcome imprisonment and expulsion," the cleric, Abdul-Jalil Nazeer al-Karouri, a well-known hard-liner, told worshippers. "This is an arrogant woman who came to our country, cashing her salary in dollars, teaching our children hatred of our Prophet Muhammad," he said. http://www.thisislondon.co.uk/standard/article-23423666-details/Teddy+row+protestors+demand+death/article.do |
I sincerely beg to know the name of the church concerned, may be I can get in touch with the leaders and find out their side of this story. That's if it's true in the first place. |
EKENEA:Where is your source for the above, sir? |
@Poster, It's good to read that you celebrate the birth of Jesus everyday, however, I think it's better to celebrate His death and resurrection on a daily basis, which is more important. If Jesus had not fulfilled His purpose on earth, the day He was born wouldn't have been of any significance. Christmas means different things to different people, so I don't think it's wise to over-emphasise your opinion on others. As a Christian, I celebrate Christmas without looking forward to gifts, but giving gifts as a symbol of the gift of Christ from God to man. As far as Santa or whatever is concerned, that's in the figment of children's imagination, and not all children anyway. My own children don't believe there's any Santa, they believe in one God, the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. (The Trinity) |
@Proo212 Thanks for the info on Germany. I can now add this to my pool of info and advise people accordingly. I've never been to Germany before, but may consider going next year. God bless. |
@Poster Well done! Very kind of you to have provided such information. I now tell people from Nigeria to first come visiting before making up their mind, since some think I try to discourage them with the "truth". Please ignore people who have problem with English comprehension and don't understand or feel your spirit in your article. They will always discover the truth by themselves, however, in a more expensive way. People have always apologised to me for not believing me in the past and it will continue to happen. No be Nigerians? Keep up the good work. |
