Virgin Nigeria will be boosting their fleet with 10 more aircrafts before the end of July, says Barr. Jimoh Ibrahim, thats means more Jobs to be created. Pilots, Maintenance Engineers. it depends though if they are gonna be wet leased or bought directly. Some of the fresher Pilots with CPL could not get jobs because they could not perform to standard during Simulator Assessment.

Arik Air will be taking some deliveries during the year, and some of the dead airlines will resume operations.

The industry is not doing badly in terms of crew employment.

U can take up instructing in some of the flight school u trained at in the U.S while u continue to look out for opportunities back home.

Just keep the dream Guys. there are challenges in every industry worldwide and Aviation is not an exception

If your brother really want to be a PILOT, its possible and its no joke. but its also fun at the same time

The Nigerian College of Aviation Technology Zaria is there but u need Gods grace to b admitted and finish successfully. its a good school no doubt. (www.ncatz-ng.org) but considering Nigerian Factor, the United States is the place to go.

Below are some websites of reputable schools. cos the school u go to also matters in the industry.

www.erau.edu
www.flightsafetyacademy.com
www.deltaconnectionacademy.com
www.spartan.edu
www.oxfordaviation.net (U.K)

There are some other schools in south Africa .

For the cost, just prepare your pocket for nothing less than USD$65,000, excluding living expenses.

Hope this helps

@Don 1 dee,

My Sister started the ACCP programme but did not complete. the programme is good cos she was given credit for the level she stopped at, at the University of Porthsmouth where she is currently studying. The higher you proceed in the programme the less time it takes for you to get your BSc abroad.
Just go to any Aptech centre and they will tell you al you need to know. but its kinda expensive sha

But the real thing is just the favour of God and then dont stammer in your response to questions of the consular officer.

@rachiwise

Anyway I quited applying at abuja, Suprisingly on Monday,I got a response from Lagos giving me an epidited interview scheduled for 8th july. So I am comforted at the moment but it means I will have to jet out of Nija immediately I get my Visa by Gods Grace.

@Prince84
The last balance on my sponsors account (printed about 2 weeks ago) reads 14M Naira. What do you think?

@ House
The advise I got from a reputable lawyer is that to proof relationship with a sponsor (in my case an Uncle), The sponsor will have to write a personal letter addressed to the consular General, stating the relationship that exsist btw both paties, willingness and availability of fund. Also a sworn affidavit can also be used to corroborate and attest to such facts (though may not be asked, but in case!!! cheesy wink)

at the moment its only 1st of july thats available at Abuja, I checked it few mins ago.

But I'm thinking if there would not be a clash somewhere if I book at Abuja now and Lagos replies me giving me an appointment as well. I dont know if Lagos and Abuja work together or otherwise on scheduling appointments.

Infact whats your best advice at the moment

Hello PPL,

I need the biggest help now. I was unable pay for my I-901 fee online using a VISA Debit card, so I contacted someone in d U.S to pay 4 me using cheque, this brought about some delay but at last I got it.

The Issue now is there are no more appointment slot for Lagos and Abuja and I am scheduled to resume school on 13th July.

I proceeded applying for emergency appointment but the email "lagoscon2@state.gov" returned my mail as failure.

I also tried VFSGLOBAL hot line 014631363 to get info on how I should go about it but the line just kept on riiinnging nobody picked it.

Can I also apply for emergency using "lagosstudentvisas@state.gov"? or what should I do as 13th July is just around d corner.

Please I need immediate assistance

E JOOOO ooooo!!!!!!
