As for the slave trade part, I already told this dude that slave trade isn't exclusive to Africa, Africans aren't the only ones to get the bashing for slave trade... Every old civilization were involved in slavery and slave trade! feudal eras can't be ignored! In Africa tribesmen rose against other tribesmen, kingdom formed alliances with another kingdom to overthrow other kingdoms and share the spoils amongst themselves including prisoners of war who ended up being slaves and expand their empire. Slavery was also a punishment for wrong doings and used to clear debts so ofc every civilization had this and more deeply rooted in them at one point. The only reason Africa is looked upon the most now is; we had people who didn't look like us come to trade for those slaves🤷🏾‍♂️ and today an entire generation descended from those slaves (Black people in diaspora) and currently serves as a perpetual reminder of the slave trade in Africa. I also reminded this Fenrir guy that his ancestors were also notorious slave hunters who were raiding villages to reap resources and slaves for commercial purposes, IF they had external involvement of people who didn't look like them, they'd have sold those slaves too! Fast-forward to today, descendants of those slaves sold would've served as a perpetual reminder of their involvement in slave trade🤷🏾‍♂️ but since that wasn't the case, he thinks he's in the right to stand and criticize one's ancestors for their involvement in slave trade. I saw him tell you that it was only the ruling class who owned and traded slaves but still chose to bash ALL Africans for trading slaves when 99.9% of every African descended from ancestors who were at the mercy of the slave-trading chiefs and kings😐 but still criticize and bash us like we descended from them and not ordinary Africans, whose enslaved families some of us might have descended from in Africa😐
LASTLY, I already explained that him being blamed for what his ancestors weren't involved in is a misconception, I apologized on their behalf and told him just like some Europeans today can't differentiate between groups in Africa and would just bundle all of us in one basket because of skin color (for example thinking what West Africa is known for, East Africa is also known for) it's the same with some Africans here too! When they see a white skin, out of frustration and what history told them, they criticize the individual who might not even be related to the people guilty of whatever it is (like a Swedish person blamed for what the British did in Africa) And then I advised him to educate those folks and tell them how innocent he and his people are of all of it! Not coming online to attack the entire demographic of Africa and anyone who responds to his insults over a damn misconception!!!... That's too childish!
