@dapsyra, DMerciful, Konnektions146, Ferdiwar and everyone.

Thanks all. My Inverter is 24V. Planning to upgrade to a 48V soon hence the reason for the diagrams.

I think i will go with the serial-parallel for now and change to series when i upgrade the Inverter. Hope that will work?

NB: I stumbled on a link with facts and figures - http://www.smartgauge.co.uk/batt_con.html which will make a good read for forum members.
Since your current inverter is a 24v system you are to go/stick with the series/parallel connection till you upgrade your inverter to a 48v system then you can change your battery configuration to a series connection.
wink

Hello guys,

Been thinking of the best and most efficient 4 Battery setup. Can you guys assist me in choosing a good connection out of the 2 options and the reason. Thanks.
It all depends on the input of your inverter.
A 48v battery bank won't work with a 24v inverter and vise versa

Gaston is gel. I don't like gel...they are too sensitive and prone to failure if abused or if charging system is not right!
Thanks Boss much respect cool

Thanks, just that most fat heavy ones are from China and the slim batteries are US.

I was offered slim batteries at the rate of 110k each and the fat heavy ones at 90k each, so I'm wondering which is more durable, owing to the price difference?
What make are the batteries and are they sealed or flooded batteries?
