Religion stains whatever it touches. Religion has caused division among senior advocate of Nigeria. Ignoring the problem of religion in this country never manages to push the problem away. Ignoring the problem often compounds the problem until it grows into a mountain .

. An average Christian wishes  everyone is a Christian. An average Muslim wishes everyone becomes a Muslim. Each tries to project his desire to the other. Whenever a Muslim is in power, Christians fear he is on a mission to islamise the country.  Whenever a Christian becomes president, Muslims fear the same.This fear makes it difficult for them to cooperate amicably . Christian trust Christian leaders, Muslims trust Muslim leaders.


Our education system is fueling this saperation.  From primary school, children learn mathematics, English language, Basic science and other languages together. But when it comes to religious studies, Christians are divided from Muslims. This continues until the child finishes secondary school. The school saperates the children as kids and expect them to miraculously work together as adults.

The academia should develop a general religious knowledge curriculum. At an early age, children ought to be introduced to all form of religion outside the religion of their parents. A growing child should have basic knowledge of Christianity, Islam, African Traditional Religion, Buddhism etc.  Limiting him to one knowledge alone create a narrow mind and makes him difficult to tolerate and work with another Religion for which he never knew existed. When we delve into other belief, we become intrigued by the similarities. We become more accepting .


Christian should not wish everyone were a Christian. If everyone thinks alike, the world would be bored. God created us different for a reason . Muslim should wish every Christian develop a greater understanding and acceptance of Islam while remaining firmly within their own Religion.

Some people here are not even married and will come here to give useless advice. As long as you are hard working and have the will to grow go and get married let no body decieve you that without millions you can't raise a family. it all depends on you as a husband and wife to work together. I have seen so many cases of which a particular one where the couple could not afford rent and they had to split to live with friends and family but today thier story have changed. Many of these big men you see today if they tell you how they suffered but now they enjoy the fullest of life. Back in the days of our fathers, there was no GSM, no internet, no cable TV, so it was never necessary for a man or woman to own a mobile phone, buy internet data, buy airtime, pay for cable TV like DsTV or GoTV or Star Times, etc. In fact there was no need to have a fridge/freezer before you get married because there were electricity only in few parts of Nigeria, mostly the cities, and only less than 20% of Nigerians then lived in the cities, and maybe less than 5% of those city dwellers owned a TV set, a fridge/freezer.

There was no need to own a washing machine, only the elites did....there was no need for electric or gas cooker, no need to talk about owning a car to think of maintaining and fueling the car, only few elites owned cars.

Back then, all schools were government owned, private schools were seen as useless schools for dull people, and most government schools then were free, the ones that needed to be paid for were peanuts...so you don't need to stress to send your children to school, all they needed was school uniform and books.

Back then, there were very few private hospitals, all existing reputable hospitals were all government owned and well equipped and competent, today is different....to take care of your wife's delivery and children health, you must pay through your nose if they must get adequate healthcare.

All the reputable schools now are owned by private individuals, and their tuition is on the high side that, someone earning that amount she mentioned can never be able to send his children to any good school, sadly that's the reality not what we wished was the reality


Before you can get married today and have a relatively happy home, you may need to rent a 1 bedroom flat at least, you will pay for electricity bill monthly, buy gas for cooking, pay for refuse collectors, pay estate or community security which was free in our father's time, you may need TV, GoTV which also requires monthly subscription, you must own a mobile phone, including your wife, and who will be buying the airtime, the internet data, maybe Buhari

Honestly, to live a decent life in Nigeria or run a decent, modest home in Nigeria now as a married man, you will need around 200,000naira monthly income, which is why every Nigerian lady now should make it a priority to have a job or a business or a trade or something earning her legal money of at least 50,000naira monthly before she accepts to marry any man.


Gone are the days ladies bring only their body to marriage, ladies your body is no longer enough, you must bring some money too....a monthly income!!!
