GEEBITE:Read my post again. |
She had it clearly in quote but unfortunately didn't give credit appropriately. Na president Putin I blame for this. ![]() |
Farouk Lawan consulted Femi Otedola on a probe his House Committee was doing because they were close friends and he was also an experienced operator in downstream oil sector. He felt comfortable around Otedola not knowing that Otedola was representing Obasanjo's interests in African Petroleum PLC. Obasanjo saw this as an opportunity to pay back to Farouk Lawan for his stubborn opposition when he was in power. He told Otedola to express readiness to pay to have his company's name taken off a blacklist, involve DSS and turn the whole thing into a sting operation to nail Farouk. Otedola agreed and betrayed his close friend Farouk for the revenge mission of his godfather Obasanjo. He should have tipped him off but he made him walk into a trap by making him feel COMFORTABLE in committing a crime and being recorded. Thus, day became night for Farouk. The tag of Mr. Integrity was scrubbed off for the tag of corrupt lawmaker. His political career died. His political associates abandoned him for a lonely legal journey. He ended up a prisoner. Dog eat dog ... |
I hope IPOBians are following this Russia - Ukraine confrontation and noting that War is not attacking police stations and that hardly does another country wastes its citizens for another country. |
Davido is in London where he is securing the financial bag and he is ranting about Gov. Makinde securing his political bag in far away Osun State Nigeria. If he loves his uncle that much, he shouldn't have scheduled a show at O2 close to PDP primary. Even now, it is not late to cancel the show and show up like a knight of shiny armour in Osun to defend his uncle. Well... |
Of course, nobody can force him to sign what he is not convinced about. That's why the constitution gives NASS the power to veto provided they have the cojones. But do they? |
Bringing political enemies under one canopy. Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu must be a real deal-maker. |
Kudos to Davido. Good heart, good feeling, good vibes. |
erubati:Did he issue a statement of denial given that the story was viral? |
Was always going to be tough fighting your godfather, huh! In fairness, saying "they are already urinating in their clothes" was not particularly omoluwabi-like. It was unnecessary. More of a turnoff. |
masseratti:True. |
David Hundeyin is the most unpredictable but effective investigative journalist in Nigeria today. He is ruthless, fearless, arrogant, annoying, highly cerebral and has scarily unperturbed disposition about people's opinions of his person or his works. He is someone you'd find yourself loving, hating and ignoring in one short week depending on what issues he investigated and published. He is maverick. He is an enigma. He is a gadfly every society needs to be balanced. He ain't leaving journalism because that's his life. |
In summary, Tonto Dike, in her USUAL character tried to pull wool over our eyes. We caught her pant down. Well, in fairness, I have a feeling she may be trying to build 'diplomatic' goodwill for her son for future japa things. Not a bad move minus the unnecessary audio land acquisition noise. |
The issue is, does a university senate reserves the right to award professorship if proper recommendations are made and minimum requirements met? Well, the case is currently in court. Let the court decide. One fact I know is that apart from his extreme religious views, Pantami is more cerebral than some fellows who are called professors in our universities. Yes, he is! |
Is there any of our fav Nigerian celebrities that hasn't done audio showoff to boost image and clout? So what offense has 'hardworking' Bobrisky committed? Is packaging no more part of showbiz? Abegiiiii! |
shinealight:Calm down and drink some water. |
Tonto is wasting her time. Churchill's son will look for him naturally. A look in the mirror is all he needs to make a decision to head westwards from Ikwere. Matters might even become worse for Tonto if Andre, as a grown man, gets married to a possessive woman. No way she is going to win this war. Best bet is for her to get nuptially entangled with another man and pray for a daughter who lacks her acrimonious "imakwa ndi anyi bu" character. Meanwhile, happy birthday to little man King Andre Omodayo Oladunni Churchill. |
shinealight:Obviously, you aren't keen follower of current APC internal politicking. Calm down. |
Honestly, this Abba Kyari get heart. He might have just finished talking to Hushpuppi before that standing ovation by House of Reps. A classic example of a con man. |
Masterito:Politics has always been about battles for personal interests. No real politician is scared of it because that's only way to survive and thrive. |
Gov. Ganduje was very smart with Shekarau and his faction. He played humility and power-sharing games to distract them and made them feel comfortable while working with Tinubu behind the curtains to stage a comeback. |
Otedola eyes no clear when he typed that message. He don drink. That's it. |
It is a 2-way thing: On one hand, APGA needs a performer and reformer to maintain it's grip on Anambra State. It's popularity is, no doubt, dwindling. So radical changes in governance are needed urgently. On the other hand, Prof. Charles Soludo needs key APGA members' support for peaceful governance and consolidation of his political structure, to get key ideas and reforms approved by State House of Assembly and of course to get 2nd term mandate. Look, APGA is not a party of dunces. The party has qualified intending, new and old members in abundance to occupy vital positions and implement Soludo's VISION for the State. And Prof. Charles Soludo is not that naive politically to burn bridges at this critical time. I am confident that Soludo has already penned down names of professionals within and outside APGA he knows and can personally trust for vital appointments. You can't just entrust key assignments to random applicants. This hype about Talent DataBank is merely to pander to Dr. Oby Ezekwesili and her transition committee. Only a few appointments will be made from the Talent DataBank for PR purpose. It is stupid to get power to make changes through politics and lose it by unnecessary technocratic stance. |
NDLEA boss, Brig. Gen. Mohamed Buba Marwa (Retd) is not a soft meat to chew if he is determined. Interference will be difficult. |
IgbereTV, how dare you abandon a friend in need? Stand by your friend. ![]() |
The fundamental FLAW in how IGP's office operates the IRT, STS, SARS, etc across the country is the free hands given them to do ANYTHING and EVERYTHING to keep crime rate low in order to protect IGP's job. Thus, abuses were condoned. Gradually, the heads of these SPECIAL squads began to make financial returns to key officers to hold on to their twisted independence and positions. Then their power grew and so was their level of impunity and corruption. Recall that in the heat of EndSars protests, the order of then IGP was flatly ignored by SARS officers across Nigeria to the surprise of Nigerians. Look, every top police officer knew that Abba Kyari is criminal but they were afraid of his influence even in the underworld. Even extraditing him US will cause serious image damage for Nigeria if Abba Kyari DECIDES to sing. The situation is like 'compost manure' dump. The problem is deep but not beyond solution. |
Take it or leave it. Hadiza Usman's travail is traceable to that ACTIVISM inspired tweet she made, while she was NPA MD, querying and subtly criticizing FG's slow action towards the then raging banditry and daily fatalities in the North. That tweet was viewed as gross disloyalty by 'Buhari's inner caucus'. They had expected sympathy and support or at least silence from someone who was given a plum job for which she was ordinarily professionally unqualified to do. Consequently, she was marked as an ingrate. Accordingly, Rotimi Amaechi was asked to do the dirty job. Initially, she thought the fight was with Amaechi. It was when all her lobbying of Emirs and prominent Northerners fired blank that she realized what hit her. I hope she bounces back politically. Lesson: Don't ever serve two gods because each will view you as disloyal and leave out in the cold. |
Abdulaziz Yari is a fat head if he truly tavelled to UK because of leg dislocation only. |
Any Kano princess who agreed to marry Oluwo of Iwoland Oba Abdulrasheed Akanbi inspite of his well-documented vices must be a real hustler who might have married and divorced a couple of times. Trust me, this marriage bid is likely to be more about street hustles than about love. |
