Kindly recommend a superb maternity (ante natal) hospital to me biko, i'm in my second trimester.

I live in Okoko, and the hospital i registered in (Elphy) doesnt put my mind at ease... the environment is too dirty, their equipment very unkempt. The ATS given to me, I felt the pain for as long as 4 days onward. it's my first preg, and I want to take necessary precautions.

Pls recommend nice maternity hospitals around ojo/Festac.

I did my Industrial Training at Elphy and their services were quite good then. It means their standard has fallen. I used to stay at Aiyetoro then. I agree with Droyal, U can try Igando General because going all the way to Festac from Okoko wont be too easy o especially when u don enter better waddling stage. U can also explore Agbara axis.

The drugs are in order. The way you feel is as a result of the cough and the cough syrup (has an ingredient that causes drowsiness).
Mine just went 2days ago after 3wks, 3weeks of intense cough and greenish catarrh(sorry tmi). The first antibiotc i was given did nothing, it was augmentin that finally took care of it.
Pls complete the drugs and you will be fine. It's safe.

My teamie, mehn, I was so useless at work yesterday. I felt terrible. Yes, d cough has been around for d past 2 weeks and it comes out with cattarh. Am glad to know its safe because I was rily scared. Tanks dear.

Am not sure of antibiotics but cough syrup is not good at all for preggo mum. It can affect ur LO. Pls stop it.

@FexCathy . Longest time, guess u are better now. Using antibiotics during pregnancy is not too safe like that o,but I don't know y ur Dr prescribed it. If u are not comfortable using it I have one natural home remedy for cough I do use and is working for me. Get a container like Eva water container ,onion and TomTom. Slice the onion put inside the container with TomTom. Leave it for sometime it will ferment and produce water. Be drinking the water it will break the cough gradually . Pls, don't add water to it. Its well dear

Pls mamas, is augumentin safe to take during pregnancy. I complained of cough during my antenatal yesterday and my gynae prescribed augumentin, NGC cough syrup and Vit C. I started the dose this morning but since I took it I havent been myself at all. Been feeling so somehow since morning. Very tired, drowsy and lazy.

Yes teamie, I stay I in Warri. I really don't know how Ekpan operates sha but during my first pregnancy a lot of people advised I use Central than Ekpan and that's where I used then and am using now.

I dont think they do o! I use Central Hospital and they have never mentioned it to us as an option. Some private hospitals offer epidural sha e.g Lily Hospitals.

As in its really less than 10 weeks. During 1st trimester, it seemed like the journey was still so far away. We thank God for how far we've come and we still trust him to carry us through till d end.

Hi dear. I use Group Medical for ANC but prefer to birth in Central Hospital. They are ok but since your are covered under NHIS, if Lily is among the hospitals u can use then I would suggest u use Lily. I heard capitol hill is ok too. Group Medical has a paediatrician that is always there from 4pm and during ANC, a consultant gynae is the one who comes in.
