1. Pls my dd of 3weeks & some days makes this uncomfortable sounds like her stomach is paining her when she's sleeping. she twists, squeeze her face but doesn't cry. she gets relieved when she farts or poos at times, other times she just becomes calm. What could be wrong? is that what is called colic? what can I do to ease the pain?

2. How many times a day is she meant to poo at 3wks old? she poos about 3times a day & my MIL won't lemme hear word like it's too much. She's exclusively breastfed.. thank you all.

Yes, that's signs of colic. Try to burp her before laying her down. Even if she doesn't burp at least you would have brought the air up halfway(just like soonest would say). My DS of 1month poos up to six times a day. Normal poop. He is also exclusively breastfed. My doc said no problem and some poop up to 8 times.

Sex, eat dates, very ripe pineapple (queens type), staircase climbing, take long walks. Safe delivery dear.

Thank God, he will be relieved now. Pls, when u notice such next time, apply either ori, vaseline, palm oil or penicilin ointment. and also give paracetamol for pain relief. Boil is always painful.

Thanks mama. He is doing better now. We were given antibiotic, paracetamol and Vit C at the hospital. It burst and was draining on its own.

Oh God the pain abeg take him to hospital or you apply ori or palm oil so it can drain by itself. Sorry baby

Anytime you find boil on his body again just start applying ori on it and it won't get to this stage.. sorry my baby, boil is usually painful

You clean the cord frequently with spirit and cotton wool but make sure the spirit you are using is original. It happened to me my DS cord started having smell until I changed the spirit and within 4 days d cord fell off. U also need to keep the cord outside the diaper.

His first immunisation comprises of BCG, oral polio and HB. It doesn't cause fever.

And so my EDD was 13th March but in my mind I even thought I would port to February because I had already started having false contractions. A week before then during my ANC, my doctor said if by my next clinic I had not given birth, he would do a membrane sweep for me. I told him not to worry that I know I would give birth before then.

On Sunday which was 11th, I made up my mind not to church because I was tired of the busy body questions from people who wouldn't mind their business and think they can play God by asking me stupid questions like you haven't still put to birth, see the way your face is black we thought by now you would have given birth, etc. I decided to just stay at home and channel my energy into trying to trigger labour but as God would have it, labour came looking for me. About 10 mins to 6am I was packing my Hubby's food into his flask for him to take to work when the first contraction hit me. I thought it was the usual false thingy not until I noticed it kept coming at 30mins interval. I then swept and mopped the house, washed clothes and the bathroom. By afternoon the contractions started coming at 10mins apart and lasting about 5 secs. I ate dates and then pineapple and called my hubby to come home early.

From afternoon till around 6pm the contractions were still coming at that same 10mins apart. I registered in s General hospital so I didn't want to just rush there and then they would start telling me I haven't gotten anywhere and they can't place me on bed yet bla bla bla. So I decided to do some staircase climbing to increase the intensity of the contractions. I climbed stairs from 7pm till 8:30pm and then rested. I guess it worked because the contractions started coming at 7mins and the pain was more intense. I then told my hubby it was time for us to head to hospital. We got to the hospital at about 10:30pm.

We got to the hospital and I was checked and was just 5cm gone. I said oh boy! With this pain just 5cm. The devil wanted to play pranks as my case file was no where to be found. Hmmm. As they were still looking for the file my water broke. Immediately they placed me on bed and told me to lie by my side and then instructed my hubby to go to emergency section to cover a temporary file for me. They asked me some questions to know my history.

I have always prayed for 3 things during my pregnancy journey. That I would have a supernatural delivery, that the staff on ground on the day I would deliver would all work to my favour and lastly the population of women that would be in labour alongside with me would not be many (General hospital wahala). After my water broke, the pain skyrocketed. I just kept asking God to help me. I was the only one in the delivery room until they quickly rushed in another lady whose baby's head was already between her legs. All attention was given to her and they were telling her to push. At that point, I felt the strong urge to poo. This was about past 11pm. I shouted to the matron that I wanted to poo but she said madam I checked you not too long ago now and you were 5cm. I said please Matron just come and check again. The other lady was still trying to push her baby out but she was weak. The matron came to check me and she was amazed that I was fully dilated. She was like wow this was fast. She told me to push when I get the urge and with 3 strong pushes my prince came out. As soon as the other lady heard my baby's cry she said wow madam na u come first me born o! Make I try my best and she did because some few mins later her prince also came out.

I thank God for everything because he answered all my prayers. To all waddling mamas God will see you through and your joy shall be complete. Forgive my typo errors. BS submitted!

fruitbae, don't worry it will end in praise. Take dates too and also do staircase climbing. It helped me a lot.

Its been awhile o,work and motherhood is really stressful.

Abeg my baby is 1year+2weeks now and still wakes up several times at night to breastfeed, please what can I give her at night because she doesn't accept cereal at that time

Secondly shsnt walking yet and I'm kind of worried,she conveniently moves around holding something but to stand on her own or waka she no fit, is it that she scared of something, I see younger kids walking

Sis Olamite, every child is unique o! She will walk surely. Find consolation in this. My first son sat at 6 months, crawled on belly first at 1 year then started crawling normally @ 1 yr 2 months and then finally walked at 1 year 5 months. I wan use worry kill myself until I adjusted my mindset. So don't worry since she is already cruising around na walking be next.

All you need to do is just rub penicillin or olive oil on it and wait for it to fall off. .its also waterproof.

No powder for a 3 day old pls. It's probably baby acne. Just leave it, it will go on it's own. Welldone on not overdressing

BA. To the glory of almighty God i welcomed my prince and princess at 35weeks via emergency cs on 27th february. Babies are doing perfectly okay and are back home with my mum. Am presently been tranfused. Lost so much blood. Mamas please join in thanking almighty God despite all odds i still came out victorious. Birthstory coming soon once am out and strong again. Yes it is painful. No it will not kill you. It may help to kickstart labour so it's worth trying. The pain is less if you can relax.
