Angelfrost:Great collections you have here, Akachi Adimora-Ezeigbo and Mariama Ba was missing sha. I'll recommend you read contemporary writers like: Chimeka Garriks (Tomorrow Died Yesterday) Asika Ikechukwu (Tamara, The Portrait of an Artist as a Mad Man) Odili Ujubụọṅụ (Pride of the Spider Clan, Pregnancy of the Gods, Treasure in the Wind) Ositadimma Amaka eze (The Last Carver) If you like feminist novels look up Ngozi Chuma-Udeh, she's like the new version of Akachi Adimora-Ezeigbo. You won't regret reading any of these novelists. |
It's obvious a lot of us don't know what a novel is. Shakespeare's ain't novels. 'Telephone Conversation' no be novel 'Our Husband Has Gone Mad Again' is not a novel And many more wey I dey see for una list |
Ahhh |
Hmm |
Bunsenbun:Environment played a role here. The Hausa knows the meaning of the word 'aboki' and use it themselves. A Southerner up North can use it in conversation there, and the Hausa's wouldn't blink an eye. But, down South, where there are not many Hausa's, describing one as 'that aboki' most times would anger the Northerner (even though they might not voice out.) Even in using it, most times, we know its cannotation is derogatory... Yet the actual word isn't. |

COVID never go? |
Kenmatt:Enugu created from old Anambra in 1991 Old Anambra created from East Central State 1976 Jim Nwobodo and CC Onoh (both ndị Enugu today) were once governors of Anambra. |
sapientia:Old Anambra State |
GeoAfrikana:SARS officers know they can't try rubbish in the north without chaos emanating? Imagine a SARS officer delaying a northern Muslim going for jumat, just to search his phone and he missed the prayers? Imagine what will happen if the news spread? Imagine killing a Hajiya in Kano, just because she refused to be searched? Violence Violence SARS knows it's only south who will tolerate their excesses too long, so they chose to act with brutality here, while acting ethically up north |
OILSERV is destined to win the bid. It has no record of abandoned or substandard project... It is not owned or facilitated by a regular politician. |
Good Morning Prof. |
This is not a novel lifestyle. It has been and still remain a norm. In my part of Igbo land, the woman would first make a friend of who he has chosen in her mind. They will become so close, as in bestie close. Then she will proceed to an elder she trust to keep his mouth shut, it is more preferable if it is the 'isi obi' of the ụmụnna, and tell her of her decision. The elder will in turn involve other elders, and you'll be invited. Most times the invitation is to inform you of an obligation that rests on you. You'll be made to understand that it is a duty to the kindred and to your late uncle. Thereafter, the whole parties involved will have to enter into a pact called 'ido agbata' which is a kind of oath of secrecy. And you go about fulfilling your obligations. Your wife might be involved, if the elders sees her as matured in traditional norms. PS: This act doesn't make you a de facto husband. It doesn't make you a shareholder in your late uncles estates. You can never in the future claim ownership of the children you helped procreate. It is not even mentioned. My advice: Since the woman has made the wrong move of informing you, you'll have to go meet the elders. And you owe your late uncle a duty to help retain his name in the family. It is an obligation. Help please. If you find it hard having sex with her, due to your orientation and as a mark of Fidelity to your wife, you should try Artificial Insemination. You just have to do something man. |
I once had internal penile itch (just at the tip of the penis). It lasted for over a year and some months. Virtually everybody in my lodge suffered one infection or the other that period. It seems to get worse when I'm in school. But at home I get free. I went for all kind of laboratory test in Awka, Aba and Uyo. They found nothing. No bacteria, no fungi. Then one nurse told me that, it must be my source of bathing water. She advice I add dettol or izal to my bathing water, allow it to settle and disinfect the water for at least 30 minutes, then sieve it before bath. Then when I don't have the finance, I should boil my bathing water till it reaches boiling point, then allow it to cool off. My brother, after doing this judiciously for about 7 days, I got well. I stopped, then the symptoms reappeared. So I returned to the formula and continued for about 3 months. Then I stopped. It's been over a year now and I'm free. Some of my lodge mates, who confided in me (because a lot were hiding it) used the strategy too, and it worked. Try these steps... |

Online encyclopedia, Wikipedia, has updated the account of PDP's candidate in the November 2019 gubernatorial election. The Supreme court had earlier disqualified the candidate of the APC, who won the election, on the ground that his running mate gave wrong Information in his forms submitted to INEC. The court also ordered INEC to issue to the candidate of the party that came second in the election, who must have satisfied legal spread, with a certificate of return. INEC is yet to issue anyone with the certificate of return.
