bidexiii:Jeez, I dint know it was an argument... I thought ppl were more interested in accurate info... So if a source is not detailed then that makes it false? What other detail does one have to give if it dint happen at all.... As reported by senior Somali army soldier..... Quote: Col Osman Nuh Hajji, a Somali military commander termed the reports as erroneous and Al-Shabaab's warfare propaganda. Hajji noted that Somali army soldiers are in full control of El Wak and emphasized that Al-Shabaab has never taken over the border town as reported. ----- Anyway, you should also be informed that elwak is a place that exist in both Kenya and Somalia, if you look at the Kenyan map you would notice a straight line drawn on a piece of paper .... Elwak was one of those places cut across, the larger elwak is on the Somali side where elwak's main town is located and is the seat of the local district.... So when they say elwak a place on the Kenyan border where there are Somali soldiers fighting alshabaab, then Kenyan forces come to assist, you should get the picture https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/El_Wak,_Somalia?_e_pi_=7%2CPAGE_ID10%2C1565940811 |

GreenandGold:are gangsters in SA in their 50s? Cos that's the minimum they would be if they fought in the border war in there early adult life...... The most common thing I know in most countries is that thugs/bank robbers esp the ones who execute the robberies are usually young and very agile and most likely not formally trained..... If they were then they wouldn't be called robbers or thugs, the political implications of only a specific type of thugs (ex guerilla trained from specific countries) conducting high profile heists would have been too big. Local law enforcement and politicians would have probably have a name for them, there would have been a whole propaganda campagn on the 'foreign trained' thugs who are stealing hard earned cash and causing mayhem to citizens.. |

When did GSU-recce get p-90s (that's a p-90 right? Its not clear enough on my phone) When Kenya president made an unannounced visit to the site of a collapsed building with rescuers trying to un-trap survivors

Walala, in May last year, power generation fell to an all time low of 1,300MW! , even tiny Kenya is with its imperfect power is laughing...... Yes its true indeed that Kenya is not on Nigeria's level.... No one wishes to be on your level giant of Africa! Quote: Then there’s the lack of reliable power which means generators are a must-have. This becomes a quarterly or annual service charge, an additional cost that can be as high as 25% of rent annually. Similar charges in other developed markets can be 10% lower. For some context on the power situation – Nigeria, with a population of 170 million generated an average of ±4,000MW in 2014 and South Africa whose population of over 54 million has a generation capacity of over 45,000MW. What’s worse, power generation in Nigeria fell to an all time low of 1,327MW in May 2015. |

africaken254:Speaking of design and owning a brand... Watch this guy's unique wheelchair prototype that auto-balances - I have looked online for all-terrain wheelchairs that can climb stairs, this guy use of tri-wheels that interchange is a unique take (Ok i saw one that uses tri-wheel but on the rear side, and its a completely different design)......... Even beyond helping people with disability, I can see plenty of military applications, especially on robots that handle explosives or hazardous chemical materials.... I likes it... Even the Mars Rover would turn its head ![]() The volume is low, you have to turn it up to he https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tGr6RIiDIf4 |

africaken254:From Rongai I know of only catalyst... And there is another one I forgot its name, think it was santon or something.... Anyway, why would he be interested? What's so special and unique about it? I know the chasis is imported and assembled locally for almost all public transport trucks and buses, but the body and seats are manufactured locally, so couldn't he buy his own |

Kenyanstar:indeed..The fact that this thread has been sustained for this long 4 more than 100 pages is enough testament that Nigeria is not yet there, infact far from there.... Do you think if Kenyans were arguing with morroccoans or south Africans this thread would still be active? All Kenyans would have quietly disappeared on page 2, never to be traced again.... Some would have gone as far as deleting their accounts all together !!!!! And stayed out of the internet for a week to recover from heart ache! Hahaha Nigeria shouldn't be arguing that they are the giants of Africa. Giants don't argue, everyone can see a giant a mile away, giants walk in the room and everyone disappears, page 131 and giants are still convincing underdogs |
iblawi:the LFTZ , China plans to build, 3 oil refineries,1 petro chemical plant, and the other factories all totaling that $20billion... Those are more than 10 projects... Its not a single project, the $13B railway in Kenya is one single project to build a rail infrastructure alone.... Saying LFTZ as a single project is also like saying our Lapsset project which will cost $30billion is one single project, when in reality there are like 15 projects all in one, there is the roads, pipeline,refinery,1200MW hydro dam, refinery and 3 resort hotel cities ... At the beginning of this year, the projects were $50 billion worth of investments (mind you, we are merely a $65Billion economy, and those are govt projects only), there is no telling how much more investmets will be announced in January... Once addittional megawatts are added to the grid, cause right now they have agreed that they is enough electricity comming to start electrifying the rail to a speed of 240kmph http://www.cnn.com/2016/01/18/africa/gallery/kenya-megaprojects/ So please think again, the whole country is a construction site overhere |
highheybee: iblawi:Keep encouraging yourselves here... Haha, it will help you sleep at night... No Nigeria here (except from the guy who created the thread) has made any compelling argument backed up by hard facts... Most of you have shown that you only know how 'defeat' your online opponents by looking down upon the in an attempt to discourage them from talking the hard talk.... You guys keep saying words like 'no match for us', 'we the giants(self declared), 'you are no match', 'your level of stupidity'...blah blah blah........ But when it comes to showing up when it really matters on statistics, you are no where you be seen, vanishes like the lost city of Atlantic, kapush!!! |
iblawi:all the pages in this thread are a testament that no one is crying here..... Point by point comparisons have been made on almost all aspects of life -education, health, access to government service, electricity, internet, overal living standards(HDI), security, sports, citizens in banking....... All the stuff .... The only thing you got going is oil and big population |
darknetcom:This thread was started by a Nigerian on 3rd November after his own observation.... To counter an article on a Nigerian news site published on September .... Your former minister did not just stop at Nigeria is better than Kenya, he when even further as saying the worst Nigerian is better than the best Kenyan.......IN EVERY SINGLE ASPECT! Even after saying that, he still didint stop he made very demeaning and racists comments... Quote, "When Kenyan leaders were still doing “mau mau”, swinging from trees and eating one another ours were at Oxford and Cambridge university” ...... First of all, these universities that he is mentioning are universities from the same countries that were colonising us, (so where is the pride in that?). ...... 2nd, Kenya had one of the most brutal struggle for independence in Africa, the Brits dropped more than 6million bombs using world war 2 bombers on people who were using homemade guns and spears to fight back, they rounded up men and totured them ... Then a former minister of a nation that claims to be leader in pa Africanism goes ahead to speak of loosly in racist comment like that, eating one another? Where TF did that even come from --- http://www.vanguardngr.com/2016/09/kenyans-are-far-behind-nigerians-in-every-aspect-fani-kayode/ And that's why this thread was made to compare every single aspect. .

naijalander:that is the way to go for our media and our politics in Kenya... Politics based on issues,performance... Name every single leader who has lost public money....(whish they could do this after every 6months, it will end all the bad politics in this country, the MPs eiuld be kept on there toes for fear of their faces apearing on the list of shame) I can bring you a 16page document from a govt independent internal audit office that has the list of all the monies misapropriated, stollen unaccounted for in kenyas financial year, it will tell you, what was stolen, where it was stolen, at what time and how it was stolen... The only thing left to slay this dragon is massive political will from all sides... Now, can you tell me when was the last time your auditor named every single public servant or legislator(serving or retired) who has lost money under his oversite? |
chebeoc:I can give you pics of Level 5 hospitals built in every county, hospitals that om the inside look like 5 star hotels but it wont matter, a few good or bad pics will never tell the real situation in a whole country... The only thing that will give you any idea is cold hard facts and statistics, like the ratio of people die (in relation to the countries population) of communicable (eg measles,STDs,tubaculosis, Rabies, polio, malaria...) and non-communicable disease like cancer. Statistics like ratio of children dying under the age of 5, prevalence of other preventable stuff like cholera, diahreah, typhoid, and if there is an outbreak, what's the respond rate..... That's the only way to get the real picture in a country... And yes, there is free primary and free secondary(for Day schools) education in Kenya..... There is also free maternity for women, free treatment for communicable diseases like malaria, tuberculosis and other related disease, they do charge you a subsidised fee of 50sh-100sh for other small common illneses, these services were free but after all district hospitals were handed to County Governments, the counties started charging this 50sh yo get extra cash to run the hospitals.... But all referral hospitals under the national govt don't charge anything, unless its a major surgery , or cancer, but the fee the charge you is highly subsidised |
Boyedex:In most of the countries in Africa, populations are running to the big cities...thats not a new phenomenon, if we can manage to sustain the population in the villages then its actually a good thing, it means that in future this towns can become cities of their own....there is a better chance of redistributing the wealth in the future instead of having one city contributing a significant portion of the countries wealth... Here is a list of cities and major towns in Kenya by population https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_cities_and_towns_in_Kenya_by_population?_e_pi_=7%2CPAGE_ID10%2C8590280583 So here is the catch, urban places are usually more developed in terms of infrastructure, so if more of your people live in urban places as you proudly state, how comes your literacy rates is just about 60% of the population when ours is more Tha 80% of the population? Does it mean a Kenyan village is better than a Nigerian town? Hohoho!, how comes more people die of disease per capita than in kenya? |
darknetcom:This whole thing of comparison came after one of your former minister (I don't remember) claimed on twitter that Nigeria was better Tha Kenya in every aspect.... And that's why this thread was made to counter that argument with pure statistics.... And this thread was started by a Nigerian, Kenyans just joined in after Nigerians started insulting Kenya when they had nothing to reply |
chebeoc: darknetcom:You guys are hilarious..... So what did you expect A country of 45million then you want to have one city with 20million ? is this the kind of measurements that you guys use to measure the success of a city? Look at all the great big cities and tell me their population, London is 8million, NewYork the big Apple is only 9million....Even Beijing, from a country of 1.3billion people, has a population of 20 Million residents, and then we have Lagos, a city from a third world country with a population of 21million, and then you find this as something to brag about!!! Oh boy... Sorry to disappoint you but we would rather Nairobi never goes further than 5million in the future, we would rather have satelite cities close to Nairobi grow and also other cities far from Nairobi like Mobasa,Nakuru Kisumu equally share the urban population distribution |
68816419:So if racist Indians (esp light skinned indians from north India) see them as outcast then they are are not Indians? Wow! I guess the African-Americans in the Americas (who also moved there the same time the Indians were settling in east Africa and Africans settling in Asia), Are not Americans since by your own logic, there is nothing like African-anything, I guess all that contribution black Americans have made for the US (like music, basketball, and all those Olympic gold medals making US lead in most of modern times Olympic games) should not be credited to the US as those people are nit Americans (esp now with Donald Trump) |
