Long time indeed, lol.

Ok, if you guys couldnt kill him back then, how do you intend to achieve your threats. If dude wants to become president, he will. Our newspaper publishers are already quivering, and writing about him lojojumo, you know, just in case.
I dont know what fantasy island you are stuck in. It's a different world from when Babangida last ruled. Frustrations runs high in the country right now and i know many who share my views against this evil man. He can bring all the Nigerian military to guard him but it only take a bullet to kill a man. If Obasanjo can be stoned right here in Ibadan when he had a flat tire at ring road, IBB can be targeted. Where is Abacha today? Abacha who was even tougher than IBB died like a coward should and so will be IBB if he doesn't stop this embarrassment on us.

IBB, i hope you read this and i hope you get it in into your ugly separated tooth head. Do NOT yourself through the loss you will suffer in the event of your blind ambition to rule Ngeria again. Believe me, you can be touched and if not your children can be touched! Your aspirations insults us tremendeously. Some of us will gain glory in harming you in the pusuit of your evil aspirations. The blood of the innocent ones you hurt or killed in your military regime has rose against your family and will rise even higher if you do NOT stop your ambition. A word is enough for the wise. Call it Bragging or empty noise but you will not believe how much hate and resentment can achieve.

My real name is EmperorOlu!

I really pray that IBB runs (and I know he will, he said so already). Go prepare your gun and wait for 50 million Islamic extremists from the north to get your backside. Just don't run back to South Africa.
It's obvious this butt breath is a northerner. You fools cannot survive without the west. Ask the Biafran folks. We will bring you &astards to your knees if it gets to war. You can't even feed your own people without the help of the west. Your leaders has ruled Nigeria for years and yet you have nothing to show for it in the entire North! Nothing but beggars on the streets and abject poverty. Babangida is a cursed man and winning an election in Nigeria will be his last act on earth.
PoliticsRe: I’ll Run For 2011 Presidential Polls, Says Ibrahaim Babangida by Finecat(m): 3:14am On Apr 12, 2010
All the ones on this forum that are in support of Babangida are the beneficiaries of his evil administration. The wrath of God is on Babangida's family and he will never rule Nigeria again, and i mean that with every fiber and bones in my body! Fair-Win or rigged-win IBB will not live to rule Nigeria. It's very annoying to see any Nigerian rooting for this God-forsaken man. Even the bible supports blood shed sometimes in order to save God's people, if IBB's blood is the first one i will shed in my life SO BE IT! Getting rid of a gabbage like that is worth more than a life ambition.
PoliticsRe: I’ll Run For 2011 Presidential Polls, Says Ibrahaim Babangida by Finecat(m): 6:20am On Apr 11, 2010
He can contest for presidency if wants to and can even win. But the win will be the worst to eve happened to Babangida, it may sound like noise to you guys's hears but i will take matter into my hands and i'm sure i can get atleast 10 supporters in Naija to back me me up. If Babangida wins, he will not rule for a single day. There is a bullet with "IBB" named on it for him. I mean this is a man that introduced 419 to Nigeria, he killed many innocent folks, austerity, cancelled the best election Africa has ever witnessed to date, Loot the treasury blind, Dele Giwa, etc etc, Sometimes it only takes a man to change a country, enough is really enough. Nigeria does not deserve Babangida again! If this is my only goal in life, SO BE IT!! Fair win or rigged-win Babangida will not rule Nigeria again. It may sound like i'm blowing hot air to y'all but i implore you to wait and see. Unless he doesn't win.

pele o. but dont u think you should be thanking your stars that you still have a job? I know thousands of former intercontinental bank staff that were sacked in December and last week that would give an arm and a leg for 85,000. Keep the job while you work on moving to a better position. By the way, most bankers in Nigeria are not making what they used to make, they are just noise makers.

I recall a certain member of this forum who never had anything good to say about these banks and always opened threads to warn people that Nigerian banks were in a mess and that they were only deceiving people.

I remember people saying he was envious of the banks and bank workers. (I cant recall his username).

Now it appears he was right all the while. sad sad
I've been saying it since 2007, and people called me names. But the whole world can now see what i had seen since 2007. The worst is not over yet, wait and see.

Do you really think proud bank workers will come here and open yansh just like that?? Bank workers are trained to glorify slavery even when it appear they are about to lose their head. Hell will freeze over before a bank worker will come here and tell you how he lost his "Bigmanship".

The truth is that , the banks were over staff and , the staff were overpaid,
The kind of armed robber salary they were all collecting, cannot be sustained.
Its either they take drastic pay cut or they would all loose their jobs.
Truth is without sharp practices their lifestyles cannot be sustained.
Its just a shame,
BINGO!! Some of us that really knew what was going on has been raising alarms since 2006/2007 and was vigorously attacked by NL bank workers. It's kinda funny that some of those guys doesn't seem to sign on to NL anymore, i can only imagine what happened. Nigerian banks has lived on burrowed times and false representations. How do you justify billions of Naira in profits when no other sectors in the country is breathing? I really feel bad for the bank workers 'cause going from N1.5 million Naira/year to N0 Naira/ year will not be easy. It's funny when some on this forum say "start your own business, invest your money wisely" etc. If it was easy for these bankers to start their own business do you think doctors, Lawyers, Pharmacists etc will be working in the bank?

When i predicted this late last year, most of the big mouth bank workers on this forum began to call me names. Well i got more news for you, intercontinental bank will not be around by this time next year. The bank is not making any money and they are paying billions out in operational cost, do your math. How many businesses do you know that last without making any money? I really feel bad for the bank workers' famillies, but it may be a blessing in disguise for these guys. If i was living in London and run into Erastus Akingbola, he will be in an hospital emergency room when i get finished with him. I think Nigerian youths has to take their destiny into their own hands and make examples out of these bastards that got us into this mess.

Intercontinental Bank sacks another 1,500 workers
National News Dec 8, 2009 *As NLC kicks against retrenchment

By Omoh Gabriel & Funmi Komolafe

LAGOS—The Management of the Intercontinental Bank Monday served sack letters to no fewer than 1,500 of its workers. However, the Nigeria Labour Congress, NLC, protested the retrenchment, but did not disclose what its next line of action would be.

NLC’s General Secretary, Mr. John Odah, said in a statement, “our stand is that workers are not responsible for the crisis. The Central Bank of Nigeria and the affected banks know those who abused the trust of depositors to enrich themselves,” Odah said.”

“We will not agree to be made scape goats. As long as those people are not made to cough out the money they took, we’ll not accept a situation where workers will be sacked.”

The sack of the workers is a continuation of the house-cleaning the bank started last Thursday. While Thursday’s exercise was mainly targeted at the top management, this time senior managers, managers, deputy and assistant managers up to management training in the bank were affected.

Vanguard gathered that last Friday, the bank’s management, at a meeting with all the regional and branch managers in its head office complied the list of those to be sack or to be retain in the bank. Managers were said to have left the bank with the instruction to submit the list of those they do not want to work with and the entire list was compiled weekend.

It would be recalled that the management of Intercontinental Bank last Thursday sacked about 50 senior management staff of the bank. But in an official statement the bank said only 26 senior management of the bank voluntarily resigned their appointments.

Insiders told Vanguard that those affected were the executive management from the rank of Assistant General Managers and above. Vanguard learnt that in the exercise all the General Managers, Deputy General Managers except two, and 17 Assistant General Managers were affected by the forced resignation.

The banks statement said “As part of the on-going restructuring exercise in Intercontinental Bank Plc, the Management of the Bank yesterday accepted the voluntary exit of 26 Senior Management officers of the Bank.
“The collective exit which is viewed as a sacrifice, is the contribution of these Senior Management officers to the recently-launched ‘Project Transformation’ which is being implemented in three phases.

“This is expected to pave the way for the new Management to reposition the Bank on a new foundation. The Bank is committed to pursuing bold and necessary changes that will fully restore value and confidence to all our stakeholders.

“It would be recalled that the Bank recently launched “Project Transformation” which is a three- pronged strategic plan to stabilise, re-build and consolidate the bank for greater efficiency and profitability.”
Vanguard investigation, however, revealed that the affected staff were forced to resign as they were told that there services were no longer required.

Those being forced out of the bank, according to a senior officials, were those regarded as being the moles in the bank that appear to be loyal to the erstwhile Managing Director, Erastus Akingbola.

Yesterday the caretaker Managing Director, Mr. Lai Alabi told newsmen in Lagos while reacting to the waivers the bank granted to debtors that “we are contesting with serious issue of moles in the bank, what this people intend to achieve was to malign the bank, frustrate the progress we have made for the purpose of serving certain interests.

“This management has remained focussed in operating in an open manner with a high degree of integrity and transparency. We are succeeding in introducing a culture of good corporate governance which was entirely lacking in the past.

“A few disgruntled elements who are not happy with this new direction are working hard underground to frustrate it. We shall not allow them.”

It was gathered that the sack of the senior management staff was part of the effort of the new management of the bank to flush out senior officers who are believed to be loyal to the former management or had compromised their position during the era. Intercontinental Bank is one of the five banks whose chief executives was sacked by the CBN in the first phase of the banks’ audit exercise.

The banks’ Chief executive was sacked alongside the executive directors for poor corporate governance which led to huge non-performing loans that eroded the shareholders’ funds of the banks.
