MyPeace:No grudges at all, i just believe in honesty ! Nigerian companies are incapable of honesty. especially the banks. It seems to me that you work for one of the banks. there is nothing wrong with supporting your organization but please be honest with the situations. Most banks in Nigeria are strong in projections and in hopes. You and i know that the recapitalization thing was a fraud perpetrated by solude. The growth experienced by the banks are too rapid and too sudden. The only survival of any reputable business is steady and sustainable growth. How can a body stand without a backbone?? How can banks succeed when the economy is shambles?? Most of the populace are in abject poverty and these banks are posting bumper profit. i've warned many people about this last year and this is only a tip of the ice berg. Many banks will begin to show their true colors very soon. |
MyPeace:Intercontinental is one of the banks that is in trouble but will not publish it. Our Banks are not that strong and are overheated with competitions and expectations. when an organization cut staff's pay, it shows that they are experiencing turbulence. I'll be surprise if most banks don't start cutting staff and laying off. They bit more than they can chew. It was apparent that they could not sustain the salary and other promotions they undertook. Look at Zenith bank today. they keep downsizing. DON'T BE FOOLED BY THE COOKED BOOKS AND FAKE FINANCIAL STATEMENT THEY PRODUCE. Nigeria's economy is not that strong to sustain their claimed success. Even Solude said that one big bank in south Africa is bigger than all of Nigeria's banks put together. |
richydammy:Look here bro', quit wasting your time with intercontinental. The bank is in some financial mess but they won't publicize it. Find a new reputable organization to work for. Most of these banks are standing on broken legs. Don't let the lousy financial statement fool you. If y'all have noticed, hiring trends by the banks have slowed down remarkably and if they hire at all, they hire marketers. The banks are going the same trends the banks of the 90s went before liquidation and distress. The recapitalization bull crap by Solude was a fraud and it will have a terrible effect on the economy and the banks. |
konti:Why don't you tell us if it's true or not. Intercontinental bank is very lousy with lousy financial statement. and inter is not the only one in this boat, Zenith, pHb are also in deep financial crisis. I'll be surprise if they don't start cutting jobs soon. when an organization starts by cutting salary it shows that they are struggling to stay afloat. Most of these banks are overhyped, oversold without a strong national economy to back their success up. BE ON ALERT FELLAS. |
OsunAmazon:what else could it be? you can always tell when a woman ain't getting no action. They get all tensed up ! |
morenike09:Atleast i ain't cheap. ![]() |
bawomolo:oh i tot she was worth more than that. |
debosky: debosky: ![]() You mean she dey beg for am?? Them dey call people like that, ANIMASHAUN. |
nikekenny:Bro'. it's not always about the thing under. It's about attraction and affection. The you are attracted to somebody, the more you would want to do it properly. |
@outlaws This is exactly what we (Nigerians in the USA) are campaigning against. cyber crimes and identity theft. If these companies knows that you are Nigerian, they will start stereotyping, like we haven't created enough bad names for Naija with those scam E-mails. You are lucky they didn't report your sorry Butt to the police, I would have. SOME NIGERIAN ACTIVITIES MAKES ME SICK !! |
@samsonola Banks banks banks. why are you guys wasting your time? Most of these banks are in serious financial trouble, read your news and your eyes will open. Talk to their top shots and they will tell you their dilemmas. In a shrt time, most of the banks that have the habits of going to the capital market to raise funds are jittery because of what is going in the capital market: BIG LOSSES ! |
@Richdammy and the rest Why do you guys put so much hope in one bank or company. From all indications and what i heard about that bank, they couldn't pay me enough to work for them. They systematically fire their employees over some sky-high targets. A reliable source even claimed the bank is inching towards financial distress. That is why Akingbola is sending out warning memos to the employees. PLEASE GUYS, DON'T LIMIT YOUR SELF TO A BANK. THERE ARE MILLIONS OF COMPANY BETTER THAN INTERCONTINENTAL. YOU WOULDN'T KNOW UNTIL YOU EXPAND YOUR HORIZON. |
@rebellious This new one no go make it pass you car door. I predict. it's like a blind date gone wrong. wait and see. |
@Poster What electricity is he talking about?? You mean he wants to put tariff on Candle and Lanterns?? Yeye People !! |
@Shegewumi Let's be real in our posts. How can you confirm something you barely just started. Is it not true you are still in training?? Don't believe everything you read in that employment letter. When you start the job, come back and tell us how it is. I have friends that works at the bank and from what they say, it's a very stressful place 'cause they are too profit-oriented. Someone said one of her brothers just got fired recently for not meeting target. Akingbola's MEMO to the bank's staff categorically stated that they will be deducting from the employee's salary who don't meet their targets. And employees who fails to maintain their assigned customer's account will be sacked after 3 salary deductions. I have a friend's brother that served with them, the very first month he started they gave him a N2million target. HOW IS YOUR TRAINING BY THE WAY?? Most of these banks are having some problems but they will never reveal the problems. Look at Zenith. They are going to the market again to raise some funds. They just raised one last year. And they keep cutting their employee's salaries. Zenith reduced their pay just before xmas. They systematically tie most of their employees pay to performance. Imagine that?? And the so called N3.2M that intercontinental pays, you 'll be lucky if you get N2.5M out of that because of the darn productivity bull sh*t. They treat these bank workers like a fast food joint. |
:PWhy do naija women smell so lovely. |
@Omoovie And most of the crimes you see on the TV you are talking about are usually committed by the black American folks, whose mentality are not far different from that of some Nigerians. |
bla, bla bla blahhhahahah |
;d ;d |
@uspry OK, calm down sister soldier. |
. Anyway this is just July, you said they stoped paying upfront since June? Dont you think they want to meet up with their obligation to their shareholders? l think its too early to complain of the upfront for now. On the 20% cut, no comment. But me think the salaries most banks pay is not sustainable.
this guy are u an intercontinental bank staff? abeg no talk wetin u no sabi. abi u dey work for one of these roadside banks. better be guided.
