I honestly didn't expect to enjoy it as much as I did especially since I'm not a fan of kids animation. But I did enjoy it a lot

They also did well in making the main antagonist so terrifying to Puss in Boots.
The themes of family and friendship were also well done although kinda predictable since I could already tell where they were going with it

For some weird reason I expected some kind of plot twist with the cute dog but then that would have contradicted everything the story established especially with the map tying to his personality. So I'm glad they didn't go with that twist

Only thing I didn't like was the ending
The resolution felt highly underwhelming. I sort of expected more. I get the point was him getting over his fears and also cherishing what he had...but I still expected more from the final battle.

The villain walking away like that with some lame forced explanation felt very weak, and seemed liked an attempt to just keep him alive as a reoccurring villain

Anyway quite a very very enjoyable movie as you said @ Ishilove

the villian wolf was my favorite character in the film funny enough.
He was more than a match for puss and his signature whistling was like a death call
