figoperch: I have read and re-read a lot of books on events from the first coup to the civil war. Truth be told, whatever situation Nigeria is today is as a result of the events of those periods. Infighting, lack of trust, nepotism etc grew so much within those periods.
Reading accounts from different sources has given me a broad view of these events. If you read widely, one would understand why each party in the war did what they did whether right or wrong. As for me, I have learnt not to blame anyone for their roles in the war. That's why it is called WAR.
I have spoken with elderly ones on both sides of the war. It is not a thing to pray for at all. If there will be a clamor for Biafra, the best way is by nonviolence. It may tarry but it is achieve able. I have also read a.lot of memoirs regarding the war. I note that there's a dearth of books from the Northern combatants in the events leading to and during the war itself. Have you observed this? |

NigeriaIsDoomed: I swear! Nigerians idolize and dignify criminals. It is interesting to see the same folk who were tagging Atiku thief support this convicted criminal to become the speaker. Like you rightly put, no be zoo again? Nigeria is a very weird and peculiar country I tell you. In saner climes this chap would lie low under the radar for years to avoid this kind of situation but here once a criminal makes cash, he heads into politics to claim legit. Recall a retd AIG who became Senator once said he was surprised to find several people whom he once investigated whilst in the Police as his new colleagues in the Senate? |

So what evidence was his arrest and arraignment in court based on? It is now they want to start finding evidence. Very useless efcc with a very useless acting chairman appointed by a a more useless president Exactly my thoughts. Investigations ought to have been concluded thoroughly before rushing to arraign this guy |

Honestly it's a shame. while not pronouncing him guilty yet because there's presumption of innocence under our laws,I was in same court this morning and saw about 100 obviously hired street urchins who stormed the court premises chanting"free naira marley!!!" and the dude was feeling cool with himself. |
