A Christian will understand that tithe and offering are the commandment if God. It's written in the old testament that we should bring all tithe into the Lord house so that there be meat in his house.
Tithe and offering are for church growth and also for the payment of pastor welfare.
What so ever they do with it is not our business. Ours is to do as commanded by God.

Simple Business Talk
We all see it everywhere that it is important even as a salary earner to have a side income, but not everyone says how to get about it or the expected hurdles on the way so that's why I made this thread to highlight key issues worthy of note.

1) Determination: As a salary earner you will be used to getting paid at the end of the month even if you skipped a few days or your workplace suffered setbacks but as a new business owner one day off is one day gone.

2) Passion:You have to have a strong love for the goods you sell or service you render to make it through the turbulent business world as a newcomer. There would be losses, disappointments from customers but this is what all new businesses go through before they "hit it big". Once you love what you do it'll be harder to quit.

3) Money: Yes you heard me right, Money! To set up a business that will get you reasonable income you need capital to buy goods sonetimes and other times to invest in yourself (P.s investing in yourself just actually means learning about your business field through reading, research or learning).

Development is not free! Complain all you want, but this country is not going to get better anytime soon if you all don't start pay what people in developed countries pay.

Go and check two things for me
1. How much does people in those countries earn compared with the prices of things there and here
2. How much percentage of their salaries or earnings is even removed as tax.

I know the government needs the tax but you can't tell someone earning 10k to pay bills of 6k na.
