mr swagger: Hello everyone, I say a big thank you to u all for contributing actively to the growth of this thread.

I have a little problem. I applied to my school in US for undergraduate studies for Fall session. I mailed my mastercard Card Number when filling the application form to the school in US to pay for my application fee.

The school contacted me yesterday and told me that I should send my mastercard verification code, which I later sent to them. The 3 digit number at the back of my mastercard was what I suggested was the verification code which I sent to them.

I have used that same Mastercard to buy My SAT textbooks online on Amazon. But I was shocked when they contacted me today and said the card did not work.

Please what can I do. Does anyone have any idea or have encountered similar problem like dis before.

Did you tell them its a DEBIT card and not a CREDIT card? Because that's could have been the issue when they were about to deduct their fees.

You CAN'T pay Sevis fee with your card. Get a friend or relative in who is out of the country to get it done for you

You can only register with any bank VISA card. They dont accept MASTER card anylonger. Get a friend or relative who uses any banks VISA card and pay for the exams while registering online.

Visafone sacks 60 workers, Stanbic IBTC sacks 250

Yesterday April 30th Visafone fired over 60 of their staff nationwide. Stanbic IBTC also sacked 250 of their staff. The sack takes effect from today May 1st.

The Stanbic IBTC sack yesterday crossed across all levels, from management to lower level staff and I hear this is just the first batch. The bank is planning to do another round later this year.

The sack at Stanbic yesterday only affected full staff employees as the bank intends to make its workforce 20% permanent staff and 80% contract staff. The total workforce before the sack yesterday was about 3000. The sad part is there are so many fresh graduates in the job market...and no jobs!

Glo has a better network coverage where I live, and its far better than Etisalat network coverage(Network Mast). Let's say I then port to Etisalat and I subscribe to Etisalat BIS., Will I be using Glo network coverage or Etisalat network coverage?(Mast I mean) ?

I got dis admission into a community college in texas bt it was without accomodation,i wud like contributions on how to get a house and how much it costs.

Oh! No! Not a community college. Get a Uni. And why would u want accommodation without getting a visa yet? Or have u been to the embassy yet?
