South africa, uk has done it for us. Let him send one high profile nigerian to jail.
You list 16 achievement without mentioning, fight against corruption, that shows the president is not fighting corruption.

Christianity EtcCAN Dares Catholics, Says ‘you Can Pull Out’ by fkaz(op): 7:05am On Jan 24, 2013
The Christian Association of Nigeria, CAN, yesterday reacted to the alleged moves by the Catholic Church to break away from the umbrella religious body, stressing that the threat was occasioned by the loss of the Presidency of the body to Pastor Ayo Oritsejafor.
The Public Relations Officer of the 19 Northern States of CAN and Abuja, Mr. Sunny Oibe, who spoke with journalists yesterday on the alleged threat, also accused Catholics of arrogance. He said: “There is no division in CAN and we are all speaking with one language.
There are some certain elements in the leadership of CAN, led by Cardinal John Onaiyekan because he lost the CAN Presidency to Oritsejafor who has a lot of achievements. “There is no need for anybody to lose sleep over the threat by Catholics to pull out of CAN, because without them, CAN will still continue.
The constitution of CAN makes provision that membership can be terminated by any group that is misbehaving or any group can also terminate their membership. “Why is it that when Catholics were in the leadership of CAN, every bloc supported them but nowbecause power has changed hands, they are threatening to pull out and causing confusion?
“They have been agitating that the Presidency of CAN must from the South. They are an appendage of PDP and PDP themselves. They are known for double standards.
A man of God should not be double speaking.” He said in exercising their right to free association, Catholics should not mislead the public. “The Catholics are claiming that the current CAN leadership has deviated from the vision of the founding fathers when they don’t even know how CAN came about.
What did the Catholics know about the vision of the founding fathers? “CAN was formed because of the marginalisation of Christians in the North.
The Christians in the North, particularly those of them from the TEKAN extraction came together and formed Northern Christian Association. It was that body that metamorphosed to CAN,” he said.
According to him, during the administration of Olusegun Obasanjowhen CAN was to be registered, “the leadership was given to thembecause Catholics were in leadership; I want o correct that impression because they have been telling the world that they arethe founding fathers of CAN.
“Catholics have accused the current CAN leadership led by Pastor Ayo Oritsejafor of being pro-government. But if you look at the whole scenario, you will be able to find out who between Oritsejafor and Onaiyekan is more close to government.
“The problem of Catholics is that they always display arrogance ofknowledge. They don’t want to be under anybody but they want everybody to be under them. It doesn’t work like that because there is no seniority in CAN,” he added.

Now that the president has visited the police college, the national assembly has said they are going to probe the found for police trainee
Moreover some top police officer will loose their job on this issue for sure.

PoliticsPress Statement By Festus Keyamo On The Conviction Of Henry Okah In South Africa by fkaz(op): 9:34pm On Jan 21, 2013
By Festus Keyamo
The decision of the South African Court that convicted Henry Okahthis morning of charges relating to terrorism is politically motivated and legally incorrect.
As counsel to Charles Okah and others who are facing the same set of charges under Nigerian Laws, I have been actively involved in coordinating the trials both in South Africa and in Nigeria.
The fundamental flaw in the trial is that Henry Okah was not given adequate facilities and the opportunity to defend himself. This is because after the prosecution closed its case in South Africa, the defence attorneys and my Chambers here in Abuja tried frantically to summon the witnesses of Henry Okah who are based here in Nigeria to testify on his behalf. These witnesses include some government officials.
In this regard, we wrote to the Attorney General of the Federation who replied and directed that Henry’s counsel in South Africa apply to the court there for an order to secure the legal assistanceof the Attorney-General of Nigeria. This was only two weeks ago (please, find attached a copy of the letter from the Attorney-General of the Federation to my office and note that the date on the letter was mistakenly given as 8th January, 2012 instead of 2013.)
Without giving Henry’s counsel in South Africa adequate time and facilities to follow the directives, the South African court foreclosed his opportunity to call witnesses and rushed to convict him. This is a breach of his fundamental right to fair hearing and an obvious attempt by the South African authorities to please Nigeria at all cost. That is why the judgment is nothing but political.
Whilst all Nigerians empathise with those who lost their lives and limbs in the October 1, 2010 bombing, it is wrong to convict anybody for it without due process. Henry has been convicted without due process.
I condemn this judgment and call on Nigerians and the international community to condemn the trial and judgment of Henry Okah whose only offence was his refusal to accept the so-called amnesty offered by the Yar’Adua-Jonathan administration and his insistence on the Niger-Delta controlling its resources.
With the recent condemnation of Jonathan by some militants who initially accepted the amnesty programme, I am sure they now know that Henry Okah was correct not to have accepted the poisoned chalice called amnesty.
The Nigerian government must immediately use all diplomatic efforts to ensure that Henry Okah does not die in a South African prison and for the South African government to grant him unconditional pardon. This is without prejudice to his right to appeal against the judgment.
Thank you.

PoliticsSheikh Again Defends His Stand On Troops Deployment To Mal by fkaz(op): 3:22pm On Jan 21, 2013
Fiery Nigerian based Islamic cleric and scholar, Sheik Ahmad Mahmud Gumi has again defended his position condemning deployment of troops to Mali claiming that troop deployment by ECOWAS and the French government have several hidden undertones.
Gumi in a new message, supporting a similar message released yetsteday, stated:
“Brothers and Sisters, fellow Nigerians, No human has the monopoly of sentiments or emotional outburst, therefore whoeverabuses me for not understanding me I have forgiven it. I hold no qualms against anybody. My only concern is over the Evil people that kill innocent people for prejudice, malice, religious sentiments and share malevolence.
“In these categories of people are Maj. Nzeogwu & co who assassinated the premier Sardauna the main target of the 1966 coup. Others argue that some Christians also were killed, yes, but they were also killed by Christians too. The common denominator is that all these murderers that kill innocent people are Christians. What I am saying is that among the Christian are evil people that kill people. These evil killers can also be imbedded in our security apparatus. In fact they are more dangerous that the true boko haram who are mainly peasants, poor and untactful. However these are highly trained individuals that can manipulate, strategize, camouflage and coordinate their terror in such a way that they cannot be recognized. They are also the Dimkas and most recently the Azazis and many more still active in service.
“So today if there is any terror attack, depending on the magnitude, the coordination and sophistication in its execution and target selection, you can see the finger print of these agents of evil.
The draconian military occupation of the Muslim northern regions is a clear sign of such a plan. The Mali intervention is also not far from the plan. Why sending troops to Mali when our borders are porous? Spending millions that could benefit educational, heath and agricultural sectors that are starving. Youth unemployment that is declared by an ex-president as very volatile. We negotiatedpeace between the warring Sudanese factions until they decided to divide in a plebiscite, why not also in Mali? Is it not ‘what is good for the goose is also good for the gander’?.
“Nigerian involvement is Mali against the northern tawarik , is taking sides based on foreign colonial interest, and the hate of Islamists forming a government in the region. The difference between Islamist and Terrorist is that the former are fighters that are seeking independence and the rule of Islamic law through legal and accepted norms. Part of it breaking away from a countrywhich there is anarchy or dictatorship. The army took power in Mali, and a section of the country wanted to break way. They usually bring religion for two reasons, one to mobilize fighters since a mujahid fights fearlessly, and secondly attract the sympathy of other Muslims. While terrorist, kill anybody Muslim or non-Muslim that does not concur to their ideology. Such ‘Islamic terrorism’ is condemned in unequivocal terms in the hadith of the prophet – alaihis Salam- and the Muslim leaders and scholars were the first victims of their evil.
“It is known fact that Christians in Nigeria are anti-Islam in everything even if it is beneficial to all. That explains the clamor against OIC membership at a time when we have representatives in the Vatican. That was where the clamor against Sharia law which has nothing to do with Christians. The Sharia checks crimes effectively yet, the Christians clergy prefer a state of lewdness, robbery, adultery, alcoholism than otherwise if such crimes can only be stopped by Islam. The prefer a harlot than a woman wearing hijab or niqab.
“If therefore, the Christian leadership of Nigeria is plunging us intoMali for this same reason of hatred and prejudice against Islamist, this is the warning they should heed to, because Islam is unconquerable. But if they want peace to reign then we should nottake sides but be peace negotiators.
Imagine, Nigerian troops killing touareg in their own country, what moral ground do we have when later they influx into our country and cause havoc? May Allah guide us all and protect us from all evil.”

“No Nation Can Fight Islam And Succeed” (Sheik Gumi)
Islamic cleric Sheik Ahmad Mahmoud Gumi has raised an opposing view to the decision by the Nigerian government to send troops to fight on the side of France against so-called “Islamic terrorists” in Mali.
In a post on his website, the cleric argued that there was no justifiable reason to send troops.
He wrote:
“Today Nigerian troops are committed in Mali to fight ‘Islamic terrorists’ without intellectually looking at the repercussion of suchan adventure. We all know that the ‘War against terror’ which Islam also fights can easily be turned into war against Islam. Thereis a thin line between the two. And if caution is not taken, the situation can seriously be dangerous for the nation and more so for the government.
“One thing is very clear. No nation on earth can fight Islam and succeed. A Russian General was interviewed just before the illegalBush Jr's attack on Iraq to oust Saddam Hussein and he urged Bush to tap into Russia's experiences in Afghanistan. The General said: “I advise the US not to attack Iraq, because if it does that, then it will be fighting the whole Muslim community and whoever fights the whole Muslim community will not succeed”.
"When I heard those words, I was amused. First I knew that Saddam Hussein was not a favorite of many Muslims, I therefore wondered who will fight for him if Iraq is attacked. Secondly, what weapons do the Muslims have that the superpowers cannot defeatin warfare?
“I now see what he means. The Soviet Union fought the Mujahideen for almost 13 years in Afghanistan and ended up disintegrated. Now, the USA is facing a similar challenge that made the Soviet Union unmanageable and finally fall. The USA has been a free country where money flows in and out, where business flourishes with little hindrance. But the moment Bush liedand tried to attack Iraq, a sovereign nation, all the Muslim states - even those that are moderate – were frightened by his recklessness.
“Americans were also frightened of a possible backlash from such an adventure, inflaming an already volatile situation. The end result has been stringent monitoring and restriction of the flow of money in and out of the country. A self-imposed umbilical stenosis, a self-imposed strangulation. Nobody will again trust the USA, therefore people now prefer Asia for their business, medical care and even education.
“All this was started by an idiot who caused untold hardship for his citizens and others alike. Today, Bush Jr and his defense secretary ‘Hamana’ Rumsfeld are nonentities even in their own country. They are not respected and they will forever be tormented with the sights of so many American youth that were maimed and had limbs amputated from the deceptive war against ‘terror’ they manipulated.
“As for Nigeria, we can see a parallel when in the late 60’s Maj. Nzeogwu assassinated the Northern premier and the Biafran War ensued. Ojukwu, in his declaration of war, said bluntly that he was fighting Islam and the menace of Arabs which he claimed. The end results were that he destroyed lives, went into exile and to date Biafra ceases to exist except of course in the mind of its proponents.
“And worse still for him, Islam has reached the shores of the Delta. This brief description of a chain of events should be a clear counsel to people leading Nigeria today; no one can fight Islam or the Muslims and succeed. It is futile to attempt it. They will only destroy their own lives and cause untold hardship to others. They will be cursed not only by people they injured but by their own people as Bush Jr is regarded now in America. Therefore if the government has such plans or are deceived by some Islamaphobes in their circles they should reverse their policies immediately.
“There is no border sharing between Nigeria and Mali. There is Niger republic, Burkina Faso and Togo in between. All these nations did not report terrorism and yet suddenly we read in the news that ‘the Army Chief of Staff (COAS) Azubuike Ihejirika, who did not offer evidence, claimed that terrorists trained in Mali had already arrived on Nigerian shores. See: http://saharareporters.com/news-page/‘terrorists’-mali-seen-nigeria-... , Posted: January 17, 2013 - 22:19.
“If what he said is true, then Nigeria is unnecessarily plunging itself into a War that will have a grievous consequence on our security without any foreseen benefit.
"Let us encourage the Malians to tackle their insurgency peacefully, and not by taking sides. If however, the SS&SE (COAS) wants to use the volatile situation to build on what his predecessorAzazi implanted, then we leave him to posterity. Time will tell. All we do is to urge Muslims to be calm, prayerful and watchful.”

PoliticsDeployment To Mali: Two Soldiers Killed, Five Wounded In Kogi Explosion by fkaz(op): 2:56pm On Jan 19, 2013
Two soldiers were killed and five others injured Saturday in an explosion in Okene city in Kogi state, an army spokesman said, adding that they were part of the contingent set to be deployed to Mali.
“We lost two soldiers while five others were wounded when the IED (improvised explosive device) planted on their route went off and hit their convoy,” Major General Bola Koleoso told AFP.
Koleoso said that the soldiers were among the troops being prepared for deployment in Mali as part of an African force to help the country retake its Islamist-controlled north.
“They are soldiers scheduled to go to Mali. We are preparing them ahead of their deployment to Mali,” he said without giving further details.
He did not say if the attack, which he said was the handiwork of suspected Boko Haram Islamists, targeted specifically the troops being prepared for the Mali mission.
A contingent of 80 Nigerian troops departed for Mali on Thursday as part of the UN-mandated African force
Nigeria, West Africa’s powerhouse, has boosted its troop allotment for Mali to 1,200 soldiers from 900 planned earlier, officials said Friday. (AFP)

PoliticsRe: Your Thoughts On Jonathan's Comment At Police College, Ikeja? by fkaz(m): 10:50am On Jan 19, 2013
Sincere 9gerian, Hope you will believe this version

President Goodluck Jonathan was on his way a meeting of the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) in Cote d’Ivoire today when his plane was diverted to Lagos for his ‘surprise’ visit to the Police College in Ikeja, the State capital.
Sources say that even his top aides were unaware of the unscheduled stop, but SaharaReporters later learned that the owner of Channels TV, Mr. John Momoh, was somehow on hand to cover the visit, suggesting it may have been a scheduled public relations stunt between Jonathan’s people and Mr. Momoh’s Channels.
The authorities of the Police College were also caught unawares. They had in fact rented the college to host a private wedding, which is illegal, although illegality is not necessarily a crime in the current administration, where they routinely go unaddressed.
Still President Jonathan demanded that the top brass explain their action, to which they had no real answers. Jonathan was also concerned about the filming of his ‘surprise’ visit by Channels TV, and demanded to know who had given them permission. He wondered if the filming was done to embarrass the government.
The President undertook an inspection of the college, discovering in the student hostels dilapidated conditions and a lack of beds, mattresses and functioning toilets.
During the inspection the President commented on the TV clips that earlier aired in documentary aired on Lagos-based Channels TV. He stated, “Of all the TV clips, the most offensive was the one showing police cadets eating like poultry fowls.”
Strangely, the commandant of the Police College, Commissioner of Police Irimiya Yerima, boldly told President Jonathan that the Lagos police college was far better than the one in Kaduna. It was not clear if Mr. Jonathan would pick up the implied challenge.
