Then remain in America aiit....with your lost identity.....
You don't have to tell me. I will. Lol. he said "lost identity". That's the beauty of America. It is a country of immigrants. It was built on immigrants. I don't know if you this, but the very first Americans were British. You probably don't. I won't be surprised. Ted cruz was born in Canada. I already have two generations who are full blooded Americans. You call it lost identity, i call it creating opportunities. Better than living like a slave in a country you have an "identity". More like second identity/citizen. A country where a policeman would slap slap and you can't do a thing. A country where if you get into an accident with another vehicle, the best way to solve it to start a shouting match and probably fighting the other owner. Where you count the days you don't have power more than the days you do. Where you can't even count on quality health care. Where everywhere you go is unbelievably dirty and stinky. Where majority of people you meet are unbelievably dirty and stinky. Where all it takes to kill another person you don't like is to shout "thief". Where you build your house as if you live in a war zone. Where the roads leading to your house have to be either built or maintained by you or you are phucked. Etc. Guy, i'd rather loose my identity (whatever that means), than experience the hell you experience on a daily basis.

God bless you Sir. You are a great leader. May God continue to protect you and other military officers and soldiers. If only our leaders can stop thinking about 'themselves' only then our country will be a better place to be.

The leaders who work most effectively never say “I.” And that is not because they have trained themselves not to say “I.” They don’t think “I.” They think “we”; they think “team.” They understand their job to be to make the team function. They accept responsibility and don’t sidestep it, but “we” gets the credit…. This is what creates trust, what enables you to get the task done. (Peter Drucker).
Well said.

I do not agree with you and a lot of other people saying that other soldiers are being neglected. Some say because he's a commisioned officer. They all fought gallantly against the insurgents and paid the supreme price in the process. Lt. Col Abu-Ali wasn't just a soldier, but a warlord. I wasn't privileged to meet him, but I learnt so much about his exploits prior to his death, unlike most people. Being a retired military man, I know and appreciate what it means to be led in combat by an officer with his kind of intelligence, bravery, gallantry and charisma.
Smh. Unfreaking believable. This is all so wrong on so many levels. It is only in Africa/Nigeria that people think like this and they wonder why are still in bondage after half a century. The fact that money was given to his family by a governor should be ringing alarm bells. Where are the funds coming from? if it is from the state, was it budgeted for? If it is his personal funds, how can he afford it? Then your argument that because he is an intelligent, brave warlord makes him deserving of the money makes no sense. I am a soldier myself and my life isn't worth more than the Soldiers i lead. No matter how intelligent or brave i am. We all spill the same blood and most importantly, i am nothing without the men that follow me. If i die tomorrow, the amount given to my family will be the same amount given to the highest ranking officer in our forces. You all need to start changing the way you think and do business for the sake of future generations.

If is not the fault of the Fulani herdsmen. There is a saying that says "where there is no law there is no sin". You forget that this is a country where people think it is OK to set other people on fire just for being suspects. If Nigerians think it is OK to do that, then the Fulani herdsmen also believe it is OK to roam everywhere disregarding the safety of Nigerians. And ignorance is your problem. Nigeria's biggest and best resource is it's human resource. Not oil. It has a country of 150+ million people and counting. Right thinking countries are begging to have these kinds of numbers. Not only that, Nigeria has diversity as well. That is even more important. Instead of Nigeria to utilize these number to their advantage, they are busy hoisting corruption in the air and waving it proudly. They are busy fighting amongst themselves disregarding the impact on their future generations. Continue.

This number is underestimated. I reckon that the number of these people who are awaiting death sentences and are inmates in the Thai, Malaysian, Indonesian, Vietnamese, Singaporean, Chinese, Cambodian, Indian and South African Prisons, for Cocaine trafficking and drug related offences, will be in the excess of 1Million.

The proclivity of these people toward crime is second to none. The predisposition of these people toward making dirty money through illegitimate means is unrivaled. These people are the only one soiling the image of this country.

I am sick and tired of these people. Infact, I am sad
And Nigerians have the nerve to call whites racist. They can't even stand people of their own race not to talk of people who share the same country with them. Smh.

Lovely comment by Umar Alhasan Alkali.

It is what I keep insisting on here but some folks would NEVER listen because their minds have been all but messed up with hatred.

Never use the crime of an individual to judge a tribe or a religion. It is simply unfair.

Too bad the young man chose this path. I hope his loved ones find the strength to bear his loss.

Nigeria needs to up her game and fast- we can't afford to have countries kill our people over offences such as this. I could bet my last breath if he were an American or a Western European, some how, some way, they would have released him to his government to serve whatever sentence they pass on him on his home soil- and that sentence certainly won't be death.

E go beta.
You are probably the funniest guy i have ever met online. Really? So, are you saying that if Nigeria has a law that says any person convicted of drug trafficking would be executed, and a Togolese is convicted, he shouldn't be executed because he's Togolese? Since when is it normal to dictate how another country carry's out it's legal and judicial system? Guy, they've executed Australians, Brazillians etc. Nigeria is not special. They knew the laws of the land they were going to. The government over there even helped them to put up signs at the port of entry warning them of what would happen if they are caught and you are here crying over spilt milk. You people are just too used to lawlessness.

The thing is: u can't just open ur mouth and borrow western solution and expect it to work. Just like NOI advises buhari to increase TAX and VAT, just the way the wests used to do whenever they are hit with cash crunch..

because UK has turned its voice calls into luxury and her citizens have resolved to using WhatsApp call, abandoning the hpnewly highly taxed voice calls, doesn't mean we shld do the same.

Why not start by reducing the coat of governance and see?

But, if you wish to do that, I get IMO, WhatsApp, Google duo and line... E no go matter, I am always online...and my Mtn na baba when it comes to network reception..
These reasons are not why it won't work. You talk as if taxation at all levels is not what all normal countries do. Germany has probably one of the most expensive and highest taxation systems in the world but you'll hardly feel it because they use the proceeds to better the lives of it's citizens. Nigeria can never do anything to better the lives of it's citizens because majority of it's citizens and leaders are inherently corrupt. Even if their streets were paved with gold it would still be poor. I don't think you all truly understand the impact of corruption in your daily lives.

WTF? I thought you were going to show me something i didn't know or something truly horrible. I live in the states and i can show you some truly terrible things as well. Just look at what is happening right now and Trump hasn't even been sworn in yet. Every country has issues. It is the frequency and percentage of such issues compared to normalcy that matters. Smh. Guy, you don't seem to understand. There are only a few countries like Nigeria in the world. Afghanistan, Iraq, Somalia, Syria, etc, comes to mind. The closest i would compare Nigeria to is Afghanistan. You could be taking a stroll one minute and the next you'll see someone being burnt alive. Afghans, like Nigerians are dirty as phuck, corrupt as hell and incredibly tribalistic. You have to see it to understand. My wife just arrived from a visit to Nigeria and she was like, "uncle, it's getting worse over there". In my mind i'm thinking, "how is it possible that a country filled with degenerates will not be bad and continue to get worse"? One does not need to have a degree in rocket surgery to figure out why.
