Spy360: When Leicester won the league they did so with an outdated 4-4-2 last used in the 90s. Don't call it a one off because it worked perfectly. I saw Mahrez and Albrighon threatening and creating dangerous chances from the wings that year, Vardy was majorly lone striker and Kante was clearing the middle.. Well,Okazaki may have paired him up sometimes, but 433, 8 out 10 times is a better set up for modern footy. |

Spy360: Arsenal kills talent as far as I am concerned. We fans usually don't see straight. Torriera could be better than two of those three you listed. Just line him up with different players under a different coach. Our style/culture of do it the easy and classy way is our undoing, no wonder Sanchez couldn't cope.. Torreira is good, he's got football brain, but he isn't the warrior to Marshall the middle for a whole year, however, he could thrive well playing beside the Ndidi,Partey and Doucoure. |

Jodera: This is correct. I think I'll find it difficult to see any of our midfielders stake a claim in Liverpool first team. Not because they're not good enough, but I think cos dey hardly works their socks off. Just ceballos and maybe torreira. Even Ceballos to me doesn't have their old Milner's energy, ceba tries but not at the physical level yet, Torreira arguably most hardworking and runner but was brushed off by Ricardo Pereira last week,he needs protection by playing alongside Ndidi/Partey/Docoure.. This is English football, why do you think the likes of Deeney feel confident playing against us, its always "go hard on them" and you'll see them crumble.. This is not LA liga, this Average Arsenal side had fun beating Valencia home and away, and they beat Barca in a cup final. This is not the era of soft passing football of busquet days, see the calibre of midfielders around the top4. Unai Emery might have his problems, but the right personnel with suitable traits matters as well, but not many will know. |

Spy360: In my experience in football, any system can work for any team once they can master it. Ruling out Torriera especially is undermining him. The likes of Kante, Mascherano and Makalele didn't have the physical build but were strong and resilient. They were looked down on but became the best.
Let's try Torriera first and see how he can master the position. Another is Chambers. I agree with your Torreira argument, but Lucas to me still needs protection, he isn't used to this kind of rough league with too many game schedule in a year. I do not agree " any system" can work, but the right modern style that suits modern football. |

Jodera: This your midfield no be am. As in eh, e tire me o
Xhaka that is lazy, under pressure he succumbs and can't dribble his way out, will play what fabinho or wijnaldum plays? Guen that is slow in thought process might actually be taught that but not xhaka abeg. In fact, that midfield go cast everything. Going forward, lacazette isnt a known dribbler same as Auba. Only Pepe(if he's improved upon or he brings in ligue 1 form). In fact, this present crop of players, klopp go still change like 3-4 of the players sef from the lineup The main problems in this area is the lack of a physically powerful, energetic leader as a DM. Look at Liverpool, Man City any Leicester who are blessed with three gems who are the link between the back four and the other players. Neither Torreria not Dhaka are up to this task, and while Chambers did a good job as a DM for Fulham I doubt it he is good enough at a higher level. If we had a quality DM like Ndidti,we could adopt a 4-3-3 system which is favoured by the top four in the PL and use the likes of Guendouzi and Willock as box to box midfielders which would provide energy and drive to support the front three who have got to work just as hard on their defensive capabilities as they do in attack. The front three of Liverpool and Man City work their socks off to regain possession something which is lacking in Auba and Pepe but is their in Martinelli. In essence, to be successful in today’s game, everyone has to bust a gut if the team is going to be successful. In such a set up I’m afraid there is no room for a number of our midfielders such as Ozil,Ceballos, Torreria and Xhaka .We have decent full backs in Bellerin and Tierney to fit into such a system and only need one quality CB to partner Saliba next season to make it work. Copied#.. Get in any manager who can reason like the above post, the bolded is a major concern. |

pazienza: The board will not sack Emery even if he misses out on top 4 or fail to win the Europa , if fans don't force it, like we forced Wenger out. The Europa league is the new top 4 for the board, and Emery is the perfect manager who doesn't rock the boat by asking for big signings.
The board will only sack Emery when the fans threaten their match day revenues and global brand image by media protests, outbursts and Emirate stadium match day boycott.
The more we waste time on Emery, the more the other top 6 move away from us. We are heading nowhere with Emery, so why waste the remainder of the season going through an excruciating journey that leads to nowhere but backwards, with Emery?
I'd say sack Emery before January 2020, and give Ljunberg the rest of the season to experiment on while we search for better alternatives. I agree the fans will determine his future and not the board, but I don't see the fans going all hard at this point in time..îwg I want to believe about 70% have not reached the boiling point they had for Wenger, I'm sure many are willing to see Emery's response to criticism from fans on the Ozil situation,Starting eleven,Xhaka etc, or are we completely sure he won't listen and address the situations? Our position and performance by Jan 2020 will determine the fans action, I can tell you it is either he gets backed or face fans fury which will spell his end. |

Spy360: Seen which light? I am objective in my assessment.
Despite not being the manager, I put out a team prediction before the game- something any right thinking individual would do- play your best fullbacks. Even if he had won against Sheffield, not starting his best fullbacks only depicts stupidity, whatever his reasons were.
Is it because I have taught the house what grinding out result means that any game now means results were grounded? Which kind grinder mentality is this? I said it when the line up came up,he'll be slaughtered if he fails to bag 3 points,Some of us were were willing to be patient till Tierney,Bellerin and holding get back, but the gaffer shocked even his most loyal fans with what he fielded.. Sticking with Wenger's deadwood players in Xhaka and Kola ahead of Kierean and Torreira is a mystery.. Should he persist with this players who are good for bench at best, then we've seen another Wenger who should not be rewarded with another contract.. Personally, I'm against sacking him ATM, Let's evaluate him at the end of the season. I agree with the board's ultimatum, get us back to UCL, either by Europa or BPL.by then we'll see the full pic. |

By the time our usual end of December drop of form kick in, the heat will be too much... He isn't doing well atm, and I don't think the situation will be that bad and require immediate sack before Dec.. The good thing is he isn't as arrogant and a god like Pa Wenger who decides and listens to no one, there is 65% chance he'll fix his first 11 and get things right, but if fails to to do so, he'll be gone by end of the season, no more 16 yrs patience of Pa Wenger era again. For me. it is nonsensical to sack him now for Mourinho and Benitez like some clowns are moaning about. |

Jodera: Lol... The funny thing is that this is not the first time arsenal is being attacked by pundits and we see a positive reaction afterwards. Wenger is gone, but it seems as if Emery isn't so good at psyching plays too. Also, I got to ask this question, why is he always bringing ceballos at halftime wen we're chasing a game? Did same against man u, and same ystdy. If he's good at chasing game, then why's he not good enough to start? I'll forever remember the 07/08 season boys, many wrote them off, that Henri is gone and Arsenal is dead, the boys are too young and inexperienced etc, but they shut them up with good display on the pitch, Injuries finished us that year,we could have won the league. This current set only take photos, joke and look complacent in training ground, They've got no shame, Even the most performing Auba is not left out, he always look fulfilled and jokes too much, he's probably somewhere laughing and celebrating is Balon d' or nomination.. Emery's future will be decided at the end of the season, if he fails, I'm sure fans will give him the Wenger treatment and in no time will be axed. |

Jencejyde: Problem with this team is that they do not respond with positive performances to shut down the critics. Evra labelling them babies would stand to be true if they cannot start delivering consistent performances and the part I liked most is where he said Xhaka is not captain material which the whole world knows except our coach.
If this Arsenal team has any iota of shame, they should simply just beep quiet and do their talking on the pitch. Indeed it seems Emery cannot manage big players as the ozil issue is just out of hand and making Xhaka captain is laughable. They are babies, they only not need a new coach and captain. |

Patrice Evra labels Arsenal ‘weak’ and ‘babies’ following Sheffield United defeat I just don’t see any leadership. I don’t see any character or any personality. They look weak mentally. “They have big players in David Luiz, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Alexandre Lacazette, but there has been something missing for a few years now. “Matteo Guendouzi was playing in midfield, but before he was playing in the French second league and he was not even playing regularly – and he’s the best player in this team. “I respect Aubameyang and Lacazette, but if those two guys don’t score, they’re in trouble, and nothing changes. I’m like, ‘where is Arsene?’ It is the same.” |

Swissh: Sheffield Utd are going to give us a game tonight, make no mistake about that. They have been unlucky in the games they have lost this season and drew away at Chelsea and only narrowly lost at home to Liverpool. I still fail to see how some people think this is gonna be an easy 3 points. We are going to need to be on top form and pressure them from the off as they WILL be up for it tonight. Ozil should stay on the bench. Factual! Some think we are 2011 when teams like Sheffield are easy 3 points, 3 points is all I care about, so far we convert the chances we see early in the game, it'll kill their morale and we can then take over the pitch. |

Spy360: Yesterday's game is another typical example of how a team can grind out a point despite not playing well. It only showed our point at OT was well deserved. It is also a testament that utd at old Trafford or any big team on their soil, irrespective of bad form isn't going to be a walkaway or "there for the taking" as purported by some of our fans. |

iamoyindamola: Now Henderson is expose, the guy has been useless from memorial time. Last season at Emirates you will see what I'm saying LFC are ordinary if you take over the midfield cos there won't be space for the full backs or the wingers to function The game I'm seeing shows utd are packing the bus, Liverpool have won the midfield, let's just come to terms with the fact that Utd at old Trafford will always be difficult, they're never going to be easy to play, all big teams will struggle there.. There's a reason Chelsea suffered, and why Liverpool are struggling. That's the reason the 1 point we took there isn't bad to cause Emery's sack. |
