Air France AF702 is an A380 service between CDG to ABJ. Started in 2014. On FRD24 you will see that the aircraft shuttles Accra and Abidjan. It is actually a good thing for the super jumbo to land in Accra, I hope i think it is in line with the recent announcement by Emirates that it will scale down on some routes due to proposed closure of one of the runways in Dubai for repairs. So rather than have two jets fly into two neighboring countries, the 380 can haul them all in one trip. In Nigeria's case the daily traffic outstrips the 380 capacity, so they use the 777 x 3 daily to serve the Nigerian market. Any airport the jumbo jet can easily land, the super jumbo can also land, and a jumbo jet lands in Lagos everyday, another lands in kano everyday. ote author=Geenosko post=71814441]OP the first time the A380 landed in West Africa was in 2014 - Ivory Coast. Not Ghana in 2018[/quote] |
Did you miss out the part where the op said the kid is a very fast learner? Such that he even corrects his parents? Attention Deficit and hyperactivity are two entirely different things. This I how you guys will blow all kinds of sillly grammer and collect mony from the family over a none issue. Op, unless you want to live a life of regret better let that kid be. Ave you ever bothered to even read about toddlers at all? I have a 4 year old too, she is always sweating because of her high energy levels, I made sure she is allowed to play and expend that energy, we give her healthy food, she doesn't consume too much sugar, and she is a very intelligent girl. To help her we ensure all sharp objects and such are kept safely away, she is always under watch, we only call er back wen we feel she may harm herself, we know that 95% of children' play is actually learning so we support it wit age appropriate toys. If you push this matter further and al these medical people grab a hold of you, they will pump stuff into the kid and you will long for that hyperactivity again. It's just a phase and they usuallly outgrow it. oshunloye: |

Are you aware that the US Airforce just acquired 2 brand new B747-800 to replace the president's current primary transport jets? Do you know that Boeing sold the jets to a Russian airline which went bankrupt before they could take delivery, so Boeing brokered the deal with the airforce to procure the crafts. Do you know that the jets are service ready, but cannot be used for the POTUS yet till it is retrofitted by the airforce. Which means the jets were never custom made. Rickety aircraft's you say in the Nigerian airspace? Arik, airpeace and aero operate the B737-500-800 series, Kindly chect their year of manufacture. While at it also take more time to read and understand more about aviation so you can comment with more facts, rather than throwing baseless info at people. cowleg: |
Do you know that the B747-200 currently use by the US airforce primarily to transport the US President came into service in the Regan administration? Over 3 decades ago. Are you aware that Boeing has since produced the 400/,800F and 800i models, and that they no longer produce the 200 model, and AirForce One are about the 200 model still in service. Do you know that age doesnt really count in aviation? cowleg: |
Cuz our people detest local products-yet they want Nigeria to grow economically. The traders know their mumu botton so the keep pushing it. See this one gloating that he bought Thai Rice when he actually purchased local rice. omololu2020: |
Go to okoko and see how they are bagging rice. The same rice will be bagged into over 8 different bags. What you bought may just be local rice in a locally produced 'foreign bag'. The rice revolution is very real and farmers are making money. You won't know this because you can't be bothered to dig a little deeper. KenOne: |
Over 80% airlines in the world are govt owned National carriers. Also fact check, none of the Gulf carriers run profitably. Their objective is to bring people to dubai, Abu Dhabi, doha to boost tourism. The gulf carriers are managed by brits. Check to see how much these airlines make and repatriate out of nigeria every month. Business is soooo goood that emirates operates 3 daily service out of nigeria, Ethiopian operates 3 daily service out of nigeria-all using the biggest twin engine jet in the market today-B773er. Each has a passenger capacity of 350. Do the math: 350x6x450000(ticket fare)=N945m per month for just these 2 airlines. Imagine if these monies flowed into naija on a monthly basis? Check the value chain: fuel supply, hotel accommodations, office accommodation, meals on the flight and other suplies, flight crew, cabin crew, mintenance, groun crew and many more will feel the impact of these monthly repatriation. If we are serious about progress then we should start plugging these holes that drain our economy. AZeD1: |
Every successful company on earth does business with Govt. Arik lacked Corporate governance, they were generating revenue, we're given bail out funs, yet they were neck deep in debt. So you ask where did all their revenue go to? Look at Glo, it is not professionally run and it is stagnating, so also was Arik-ad absolutely noting to do with government-just the owners who were in a hurry to cashout. bigpicture001: |

I use booking.com on international travels and I have never had any cause for regret. Locally I use hotels.ng n they are quite good. I had a situation early 2015 when I made a reservation for a hotel in ikeja only to get to the address and discover no such facility existed. I called the hotels.ng customer care who in turn called the hotel. The hotel called me asking me to stay where I was that they were coming to pick me, I declined the offer an requested another hotel which was promptly granted. The hotels.ng guys were thoroughly embarrassed by the situation. They sent me an apology mail an a ranking officer even called to apologise and promised they have started kyc to ensure such never happened again. Trivago that I know is an internationally reputable travel brand, so if there are issues concerning their operations in nigeria then maybe we may need to look at the hotels as most of them are run un professionally. To get discounts the owner has to get involved, complaints and suggestions for improvement only get dealt with if the owner says so, they set up an email account and only the owner has access to it so online bookings must be confirmed from him, and if yours is a late arrival, and your booking requires his confirmation, an he is fast asleep-wahala go dey o! Happened to me on a booking (I even paid for it) in abuja, I arrived the hotel around 2am and it took them a while to confirm before the hotel gate was then open for me to enter the premises. I would have easily gone if I hadn't made the upfront payment. |
If you are based in Lagos then I suggest you visit the govt specialist hospital in Yaba. It is a skin only hospital. I can't remember te street again, but it is off montgomery. There you will meet skin specialists and you will be subjected to tests, unlike all this over the counter prescriptions you are getting. |
Casualties of war, or collateral. Spoils of war refer to gains made (looting etc). AlanSugar: |
That jet costs the owners close to $100m to procure. It is a very fragile equipment a tiny dent on the fuselage can cause it to fail, or cost the owners a few millions to fix. That is why the airside is a restricted area, and anything that comes close to the aircraft has been certified safe for both the equipment and it's passengers. It is a good attempt to produce the stairs locally, same can b found in many other countries. Let's learn to appreciate what we have. If we encourage local production we will be amazed at te wonderful things our country will be producing in no time. Support and encouragement is all they need. |
Youths in benue have all the raw materials to keep them busy all year round. But they prefer thuggery, criminality moves them more. They like easy money, they all carry guns and choose harassment over hard work. Einl: |

All international airlines make announcements first in their home country language before any other language. Guyman02: |
As advanced as the 787 is, nothing compares to the B777. Nothing in the sky. Range, fuel efficiency and cost per passenger the tripple seven comes tops. Aviation practitioners in nigeria are not in the business for the long haul-they want to quickly cash out. That is why Arik Air, flying close to 10000 passengers daily (all pre paid) at premium price, yet te same airline is cash strapped. It is not the duty of the government to do everything, that's why we have the private sector. They have the enabling environment but lack corporate governance. |
You people? Who are they? FarahAideed: |
I think you have said more than enough, that is how some people here were blasting the govt over the recently released World Bank Commodity Price forecast. They were blind to the opportunities it presented to nigerians. Being on nairaland has opened my eyes to the abysmal level of literacy in our country today-mind you literacy has now moved from being able to read and write. You must also understand what is written and be able to apply it to your everyday life- that is literacy today. I guess the only time some people will believe the govt is working is when the govt dumps cash in their pockets. You see them signup to ponzi schemes, are regulars in betting shops all looking for free and quick money. So excuse them if they don't understand the world Bank report, or if they can't fathom what it means to grow wealth gradually. It not their fault, they are not literate thats why. Bolster: |
These are the indicators investors look at to know where to take their investments to. Like it or not we need foreign investment to jack up our economy. Western foreign investments o! Not the indian investors that come with no kobo but leave with billions. 9jvirgin: |

I got a massive 3 bedroom flat (well finished with light, running water, fenced and all) in. Cool residential area in Oyo State for 120k. In shomolu, ketu, ebutte metta and co u can get flats for 250 so let that argument go. justwise: |
Rolandken:Bad driving is not synonymous with speed. They don't speed but when on the road you can't keep track of the near misses you see. As per patience, they take bad driving as a normal thing so they just go their way without even a second look, unlike here in lagos where insults would have flowed generously, and accidents would have occurred due to impatience and speed. |
If truly it I ulcer, you must first try to identify the trigger. Does it start when you don't eat on time, or when you over eat? Or is it when you eat a particular type of food or something you consume? Or is is when you strain yourself physically or mentally? Or is it when you are emotionally stressed? A doctor asked me to identify the trigger and half of my problem I solved and over 15 years now I barely have néed for ulcer drugs as I keep it in check naturally. You must sha have the patience to do the personal check. |
To succeed in nigeria you need to be streetwise. Afam4eva: |
If we block South Africans from our economy their economy will feel it because we are their major market in Africa. ammyluv2002: |
You are absolutely correct. Nigeria has no business exporting steel for now as we still import the same product from China on a daily basis. Unless they export it cheap and then import it at a higher price making double money on one product from one client. The Indians are the least people we shud allow access to our critical assets-they are out to destroy so we can rely on their economy. ponziponzi: |
In some South East Asian countries Uber and many other Ehailing services are also on motorbike (okada) and they ride worse than us in Nigeria, just that they are not in a hurry and are more patient. MISTAICEY02288: |

It is sad that we still use such mundane means to try to try to do serious business. Other countries use communication experts who know what to tell the world to bring in the world. What does any of the participant know about destination packaging? Look at what Malaysia is doing, look at Philippines, thailand, S.Africa are all selling themselves we are doing show. We are watching hoping to see its success. |
