LiteratureRe: Emmanuel Okoli by flow1759(op):
June 23rd 2017, it was a Friday.

And it was my birthday.

Emmanuel’s body was to be laid to rest in Dunukofia.

I was on black turtle neck and jean wishing this black Friday never came.

With tears rolling down my eyes and a pistol tucked into my inner wear i was thinking deep.

I was really thinking.

9am and alcoholic drinks were flying up and down.

“Why people go dey drink for person burial?” I thought to myself.

In my burial no body should share alcoholic drink, no food, no canopy, no chair; everybody stand. I will make sure that it is done.
But would I be alive to make sure it happens?

The dead don’t act.

“Flow make we go follow those boys share drinks na” Snow tapped me.
He cared more of sharing drinking in the funeral of his friend while the killers are going about freely.

I prayed Diva’s plan works out.

My phone rang, it was Diva.

“Babe! Where are you……………… Golden gate hotel, okay I will be there right on time!” I snitched to receive the call.

“why this girl say make I come na, 10 O’clock never nak na!” I wondered.

The gun on me was affecting my walking step, I wasn’t comfortable, yet I managed, if that was the burden I would bear to bring to book the killer’s of Emmanuel Okoli.

Dunukofia Local Government is indeed a beautiful mini-town, the reek of palm wine here and there, the zooming of motorbikes, the moody soil, the gigantic trees, Millipede crawling almost to one’s mouth, the high rise buildings, at busy junctions it feels like my pocket have been picked.

“why my money?” I asked an innocent bike man “I don loss money!”

“Money! No be your money dey your hand!” I was losing it.

Was it the gun.

“Abeg carry me go Golden gate hotel, how much?”

“Thlee Hundled Naila” He said.

The bike had zoomed off when I started feeling my heart beat Fifty times per second just like in 2015.

In 2015 my heart beat Sixty times before I was pushed out of a moving bus by the bus conductor all because I couldn’t pay complete fare.

That was when I was hungrily job hunting and wore one shoe for Five years.

“You glee for the Thlee Hundled Naila wey I ter you” The bike man reminded me.

“Yes I gree” Lest I am pushed off the bike.

“we don dey reach abi” I needed the bike to increase speed and get to Golden gate hotel so I and Diva will start executing the golden plan.
“Yes, we go soon reach!”

“Oboy oooh!” The bike man exclaimed.
“Wetin be that?”

“Look na!” He motioned, “see traffic for front!”

“Traffic! Ehn no wahala na, you go maneuver am”
“No no, this one no be to maneuver am ooh, uwe ojii people dey stop bike dey search people wey carry Anuru oh!”

“But you no carry Anuru na, abi you carry?” I was curious.
“I no carry ooh, abi you carry?” The bike man asked.

“I no carry ooh, I resemble person wey dey smoke?”
I wasn’t carrying Indian hemp, but I carried Chicken lap.

I was dead.

Entering the compound at about 4pm.

"Come here!"

“Oga Fred wetin I do na, shebi when I wan go see my friend Ola I let you know, you tell one of your boys to follow me go” I spoke, “And when I come back, your boy wey dey stay for this my compound observe say I no comot for your house for night”

Oga Fred kept me under house arrest because I owed him 100,000 Naira. He had overtime forcefully taken my valuables one after the other. He even promised to kill me if after Two weeks I couldn't pay him his money.

Oga Fred puffed before he said; “I hear say them rob you for your house yesterday”

“Yes ooh, them come beat me because say the people wey put Man and Brainbox for prison send them make them come collect one video and picture like that”

“Which video and picture be that?” Oga Fred’s second in command asked.

“Na video wey show how Mike Lawson and him wife dey do money ritual and the picture show when Inspector Bayo dey collect bribe from Mike Lawson so that him go say na Man and Brainbox kill Emma” I narrated.

“Why na! Him dey mad? Bayo dey mad?” Oga Fred’s eyes were fierce.

At that moment it dawned on me that Fred and Associates robbery gang hated Bayo and his squad for their several arrests and for gunning down some of their gang members, plus they so loved Man and Brainbox for supplying their balanced diet Indian hemp to them whenever they needed it.

Then i smiled.

“It can’t fit happen!” Bigie one of the gang members thundered, “We go show that Bayo guy pepper! How him go arrest Man our man!”

“Flow the picture and the video still dey with you?” Oga Fred asked.

“Yes, one copy dey with my former girlfriend Diva, I dey go the hotel go collect am”

“You know wetin? No worry for the money wey you dey owe me, we go fight this bastard Bayo and Lawson together”

That was a waiver.

Joy filled my heart.

“Olaniyi you say wetin?” I was deaf for seconds, “You dey Ghana now!......ehen….. wetin you dey do for Ghana?.... You say………”

Deafness turn dumb.

"Hello..... Hello... Hello...." I hung up.

I knew I would never trust a bloody Ofe M’manu.

Olaniyi alala niyi!

He betrayed my trust.

He traveled to Ghana with the money he was bribed with.

It was later i got know that Bayo and Mike Lawson bribed him handsomely for the memory card and the pictures.

He fled to Ghana.

How on earth will I get back the evidence that would make the wicked ones pay for my friend’s death.

There was a way out.

Diva!

Diva my ex was the answer.

Diva and Chinwe we course mates in UNIPORT, good friends turned enemies, their paths never crossed since Chinwe snatched Diva’s Oil Magnet A’risto from her when they were in school. That was way before I met Diva.

The scar on Diva's forehead was meted on her by Chinwe member of rival female cult group. Diva have never failed to let me know she will someday take her pound of flesh from Chinwe when the opportunity arrives. I guess the opportunity had surfaced. Or so i thought.

After Diva watched the video, she promised to join forces with me to expose Chinwe and her husband.

“Hello my sweet Diva………………… Are you still with that Video and pictures I gave you?” I called her, “……………………… Yeah, I will need you to bring them to the house this evening lets plan”

Thank God I trusted not a Man in Olaniyi and a Woman in Diva with the memory card and pictures.

But why is Bayo and co. still keeping Man and Brainbox in cell? Why?

I wished I owned a gun.

I was on my way back from the station to feed my friends when my phone rang. It was Diva.

“Hello………. What? Where?................. I should met you in room 16 Helena Heaven Hotel…….. By 5pm…….. Okay I will be there!”

I knew what she wanted. She wanted sex. Sex before we plan.

But I wasn’t in the right state of mind for it. My mind was made up to kill.

“If you need gun, just call me for phone!” Those words of Angola the dealer of guns resounded in my head.

“Olaniyi abeg help me keep this document for your house!” I was at Olaniyi’s compound.

“Wetin dey inside the envelop?” He asked.

“Nothing ooh! Na just some documents!”

“Which kin document?” He was asking too many questions.

“Na document wey be say if e dey for my house this night I fit die!” And sure to it I would lose my life should the memory card and the pictures of Bayo alighting Mike Lawson's escalade stay under the same roof with me.

“Die kee!” He was shocked, “Why you go die?”

“My brother no ask me too much question, just keep the document well, and no let anybody see am, unless you wan follow me die!”

“Me? Die? I never even marry na to com die”

Nine O’clock and nobody hit my door hard.

Ten O’clock, same thing.

I waited till I slept of.

Then the big bang came.

I knew who they were so I opened the door before they b.anged twice.

First was a hot slap, followed by headbutt, then I was on the floor struggling to breathe.

“Where is the memory card!” One of the mask men thundered.

“I….. I……… I don’t have it!” I returned.

Stamping his feet on my chest another yelled; “You think you can deceive us abi!”

“No I can’tn’t” I replied.

“You can’tn’t abi? Very soon you will cantonment!” One of them laughed at my grammar.

At such times grammatical error was paramount as farting was predominant.

“You get mind dey mess abi?”

“Me? Mess? I messest not oooh!”

“You messest not abi? Very soon you go Mesopotamia!” The grammarian corrected.

“Bross abeg I no hold any memory card ooh!” They searched my house thoroughly.

“Big bros we no see any memory card, we don search taya!” One of them reported to their boss.

“Make una seach again!”

Twenty minutes of tumbling the house upside down and they found nothing.

With a heavy punch to my jaw the Big bros announced their return in two days’ time and if I don’t provide the memory card they will fry my b’alls.

Fry my ba’lls and I will never betray late Emma my friend.

Thank God for Olaniyi.

Next morning Snow called me telling me to make sure I made it to his father’s internment later that day. I told him I would love to but that the police ordered I shouldn’t leave town.

“Why na?” He asked

I informed him of the recent development in Alaska. The death of Emma shocked him, but when I told him the police was in search of him as one of Emma’s friends, I sensed Chicken-livered Snow froze from the other end of the call.

Two sets of people never to forget in the journey of life; Those that make you cry, those that cry with you, and those that wipe away your tears.
To me Emmanuel Okoli have all three attributes.

Monday 13th March, 2017.

I had quit my job at the filling station because I was told Mike Lawson after acquiring the filling station retrenched all the workers.

My boutique was close down.

I was jobless.

The Police kept their eyes on me.

I was lonely.

The street was cold.

OK republic was bushy.

1759 lost its splendor

St. Peter's Basilica looked shanty to me.

Something was missing - my friends!

I was losing it.

How can Chinwe be this wicked? She and her husband are what I would call modern day ritualist first edition.

But how did the video get to Emma? I thought he was done with Chinwe?

All these questions I promised I will get answers to.

I put on my shabby clothe and hit the road with my rickety shoes to go feed my friends in the station the stale food i prepared the previous night.

Walking along East-west road I saw Mike Lawson's Cadillac escalade negotiated a turn close to Choba Police station. Ooh how I so admired that car, but there was more to the car; the persons it contained.

Bayo and Mike Lawson! Inspector Bayo!

I halt abruptly to see what was next. The Cadillac was still steaming at the Police Station car park for about ten minutes before Bayo stepped out of the car smiling broadly holding a bag.

Why? Inspector why?

I stood for a while thinking of how Mike Lawson Chinwe’s husband have become stupendously rich within a space of One year; richer than his father in-law Henry Okonkwo who is a known drug baron.

Mike Lawson owned Two filling stations, Two Night clubs, One Hotel, A shopping mall, A bakery and a greater share in Grandprix oil.

This same Mike Lawson killed my friend I was sure.

I hide myself from Bayo’s sight yet he turned and waved at me as he entered the station’s premises.

Ooh how I wished he saw me not.

Man! Ooh Man!! Man wey dey reason! Reasonable Man!!

“Okay! That’s good! Is he the only one you arrested? What about Brain? I mean Brainbox?” Inspector Godspower asked.

“We arrested him too! He sustained gunshot injuries on his legs because he tried to flee”

Your friends will make or mar you in this life.

I wished the dead could hear or speak.

I was thinking.

I was really thinking deep.

What would Man gain killing Emma his business colleague, what?

Emma that made him quit being the president of OK republic and OK cocaine industry.

Emma that made him saw the joy of living a legitimate and responsible life.

Emma that invested his all to the business that had grown beyond lips and bounds for the betterment of the both of them.

The same Emma that showed him how to save and He (Man) was able to buy a jalopy for himself.

God bless the dead.

I wish I could take the pain away.

I wish I could see Emmanuel smile again.

He that knows you very well will somehow have a hand in your ugly ordeal ask Brutus or Judas Iscariot.

But I was sure Man wouldn’t go to that length as to kill Emma. I was very sure, i mean both of them was lately getting along well.

It rained on me before I got home; lonely home!

All my friends were in the cell including Brother Wale and Timi from Emma’s barbing saloon. Snow was in Etche for his father’s burial all the while I was in cell for two days.

“What will I do with this video?” I was weak.

I thought of destroying the video and excluding myself from the wall of Jericho that was about to fall down flat. But again I thought otherwise save Emma’s ghost come hunting me.

The Power Holding Company of Nigeria let go of the power they were holding and after taking my bath I cooled of lying on the bed.

I inserted the memory card in the appropriate slot in the DVD player and played.

So many things saw my eyes; things like Chinwe having s’ex with a girl about Fifteen – she was a virgin, I saw the sex t''oy she used really hut the young girl.

I saw Chinwe and her husband burying a dead body in a bush path.

I saw Chinwe cutting of the private pa.rt of a dead young boy in a dark room while her husband held the torchlight.

I cried.

Man's unkindness to mankind.

Man’s inhumanity to humanity.

Who videoed these scenes? I asked myself, Emma never told me who did before he died.

That person must be guilty of the cruelty too.

But again I noticed the video was not done openly sort of; the persons videoed were seemingly not aware they were videoed.

The person videoing used some sort of Secret Camera Device.

A phone maybe; a phone with hidden camera capability.

Or so I thought.

My question was who shot the video.

Was it Emma?

10th March 2017. A black Friday

“Man when you say the Yam go come?” I was on phone, “Why Abu and Adams never call me?”

Two O’clock he had assured me Abu and Adams would arrive, and a look at the time shows 12:45pm.

I took my bath, went to 1759, drank two bottles and by 1:37 I was seated at a eatery at UPTH junction munching meat pie while waiting for Abu and Adams with the truck load of Yam from Benue.

The business thus far had been very lucrative as Man had earlier promised. I had slated my wedding for July; I just couldn’t wait to be wedded to the love of my life Omowunmi.

CHARACTER SHIFT

At the Police station

"Emmanuel Okoli before he died had told me by at about half past One that he was headed to UPTH junction to direct Abu and Adams on how the tubers of Yam is to be distributed to those he supplied, I had told him that I should come along with him, he refused, Then at about Three O’clock I saw his call, I thought it was him calling, but no it wasn’t his voice I heard from the other end, it was the voice of an unidentified passerby by informing me that Emmanuel Okoli’s body was lying dead in a bush path" I was crying.

“Mister Ugonna I put it to you that you have a hand in Emmanuel Okoli’s death” The dark Inspector looked me in my eyes, “How come it was you the passerby called informing you of your friend’s death, I mean he has other friends na!”

“Sir, I don’t know anything about the death of Emma, I swear, the passerby was able to get my number because I was the last person Emma called before his demise”

“Okay, I will want to believe you unlike my colleague who doesn't that you have no hand in the death of Emmanuel Okoli, but only if you will tell me something” The fair inspector signaled his colleague to leave, and he left.

“What is it sir!” I asked.

“I am not sir, I am your friend now, just call me Bayo” He winked, “I want you to tell me your conversation with Emmanuel Okoli before he died, I mean the phone conversation”

“The phone conversation!” I farted.

“Yeah! Tell me”

“Well sir, sorry Bayo he told me that I should take his house keys from underneath his foot mat, open his door and help him with his ATM card details, that he wanted to make an online purchase urgently and he forgot his card”

“And did you do that?” Bayo asked.

“I did give him, then about 20 minutes later, I received another call that he died!” I had cried Red sea.

“Are you sure he didn’t say anything else when he called you the first time, I mean the time he asked for the card details?” Bayo asked.

“No……. I mean Yes, he said when he comes back he will buy me two bottles of 1759, 1759, thats what we call Guinness stout!”

“Yeah! 1759, thats what I too call Guinness stout, So Mr. Ugonna come let me buy you a bottle of 1759 while we discussed other things!”

The other things he wanted me to spill, I swore to Emma’s dead body not to tell anyone.

Timipreye had far gone from being an experience barber and a good employee to being a friend. A good friend.

“But Timi you make me fear that day ooh!” I winked, “That day wey you barb that man rat chopper”

“ha that day I been dey purge nahim make my hand dey shake!” Timi was a funny character too.

Entered Man.

“Emma I wan barb my hair!” He announced.

“Ehen sit down make him barb you na”

“But I no get money oh!” He pissed me of.

The frown in Timi’s face spat volumes, he dilly dallied for a while before hissing.

“Timi no worry I go pay for am” Why wont I when my business had overtime increased in weekly returns, I was so glad.

My new year resolution that year was to buy myself a Lamboghini or worst of a Cadillac, money was my crush, but I prayed I wouldn’t get crushed in the process.

“Emma e get one business wey I wan introduce to you!” Man had a nice hair cut on.

“Which business?” I wasn’t interested ab initio.

“You know say I grow up for Sok town?” He continued.

“Sok town!” I was thinking, “where be Sok town?”

“Sok town na Sokoto na”

“Okay!” I remembered, “Yes you grow up for Sokoto, I know”

“So I want dey move wrapper and Yam from North dey com here” He said, “Yam and Wrapper na very profitable business for here”

“How you know that one?”

“See you! One tuber of Yam for here na 500 Naira or 600 Naira, but for North na like Five tubers of Yam be 500 Naira I swear” He swore, “So if we buy like two lorries com sell for this Port Harcourt, we go make like Two million Naira ooh!”

“Interesting!” I was sure with such amount I would pay Omowunmi’s bride price twice, I was so sure.

“So how much wey we go invest for the business?” I needed to know.

“No be we, na you go invest for the business, while me I go dey do the run around” He informed me, “You know say I no get money now, since wey I recover for that sickness, Oga OK don disown me say make I recover well before I go fit continue the Cocoa business!”

“So how much I go invest for the business?”

“You go invest 500kay for One lorry of yam, 200kay for half lorry of wrapper, but for each lorry of Yam, we go get One million Naira on top, and for each half lorry of wrapper we go get 500kay on top” Man informed me.

“Na good business but… but… but..”

“No but dey inside, suppliers wey we go supply the products for this Port Harcourt dey plenty, I get their contacts” He assured.

“I know but how much percentage of the gain you wey go dey the run around go get sef?” I asked.

“I go get like 10 percent, abi how you see am?” I looked into his eyes and greed was far from his iris.

No penny for my thought before I said; “I like the business, when we go start?”

“We go start……………” Man hadn’t finished saying that when like thunder, “Grubgummm!”

Something fell from the roof.

It was earthquaking and voluminous, and the sound deafening.

My heart skipped.

Ceiling boards scattered everywhere.

A mighty cat had fallen!

Timi had escaped the room banging the door behind him.

The place was stuffy and smelled like a skunk.

I was looking for my shoes.

My racing shoes.

The cat was scary and so fierce. It looked over fed, yet it geared swiftly to devour Man.

The cat’s eyes were burgundy I could see for the corner of my eyes.

As I turned to flee and the glass door hit my head hard; it meant to me that there was more to come.

The cat was facing me now and I was suddenly pushed to the wall by no body in particular.

I recited THE LORD IS MY SHEPHERD and OUR FATHER twice before I missed step and fell.

As the cat stamped its upper limp on my head, I peed instantly.

Seconds later what I thought was pee was actually moist poo and i bathed in it.

The chirping sound the cat made violated my head; it was lighter.

It moved swiftly to my back and rained its pee on me.

Was it pee or its poisonous venom that was raining on my back? I was already imbecilic and I think I had lost my sense of smell as i perceived Roses for the pee.

Where was Man all this while?

What was the cat gonna do with me? Innocent me!

I died twice and resurrected before I realized the animal was on my lower frame.

Soon the animal was on my head again, I think at that moment my brain clock stopped. I was stiff.

I rushed to meet up the appointment I had with God when all of a sudden thunder struck on my head, and……..

Light out.

14th February 2017 was a Tuesday.

“Oh woman no cry, I love you still!” I sent Omowunmi a rather apologetic message than a love message.

I was missing her.

I was missing her trouble.

Just because she saw Vido holding my hands the other day; “You will see what I will do to you!” She promised.

Since then, No calls no message.

Life is what you make of it.

I was heaping fire and brimstone on my head breaking Omowunmi’s heart even though I knew what the Ibadan babe was capable of.

It was raining.

I heard a car screeched by the gate.

Moments later, I heard a knock on my door.

“Is me Omowunmi your love!”

1 hour later.

“So your thing can not get up abi?” I was sweating.

Whatever happened to Johnny?

It was rather morbid. I caused it all.

“No, not on such a day, Johnny wake up!” I cried

“Rise up!” Omowunmi commanded Johnny. Captain Johnny did not obey the command.

What was happening to Johnny?

“Emma what did you take?” Omowunmi finally asked.

“Take? I didn’t take anything oh!” I denied.

Soon Omowunmi dashed into the kitchen n’aked dangling her oranges up and down, and moments later she returned with the kitchen knife - I waited for a slice of her orange, i never got one.

“What do you want to do with that?” I was about asking.

“If you don’t tell me what you drank that is making your kini not to rise, I will cut it of” She was holding my pen tight, later my b’alls included.

I was hurting. The knife was so close.

“I didn’t drink anything na?” I yet denied.

“Okay continue lying, when I cut your kini you will tell the devil what you drank when you get to hell” The knife kissed the tip of my pen; the chill of the metal send cold shivers down my spine. I was scared.

“Okay Okay! I will confess!”

“Confess fast!!”

“I… I… I… drank Buruntashi…… Man sold it to me”

“Burun what?”

On the 18th day of February, it was a Saturday. I was on my way to the barber’s shop; my barber’s shop.

I wasn’t happy with my profit lately. Olaniyi was really getting on my nerves, on the one hand, he was grand-master with the clippers, and on the other he always brought back as little as 500 Naira most days as the money he realized daily.

Flow’s boutique was moribund already, Man and Snow’s gaming centre was dead, I assured myself that my barber’s shop wouldn’t toll that path of failure, so I decided.

I decided.

“Sit down Timipreye!” I too sat down.

Olaniyi had finished cutting a customer’s hair, he sat beside me.

“Oga Emma! This one wey you show for this morning?” He was rather unsteady, “Hope no problem?”

“Problem dey small!” I started, “You see this guy here? Him name na Timipreye, na him go dey in charge of this saloon from now!”

“Oga wetin you mean?”

“I mean say, your services are no more needed in this saloon” He stood up, and was putting on his shoes.

In no time, it was good riddance to bad rubbish.

Olaniyi’alala niyi (Igbo) – A lost child was lost indeed.

“Timipreye feel relaxed and get used to this place, I know you will do better than Olaniyi”

Soon a customer entered.

“I want my hair cut!” He said.

“Okay sir! Sit down!” Timipreye was hospitable.

I glanced the man’s hair cut; I noticed his hair was kept yet he wanted a cut.

“Where is the other guy? Ola!” The man said, “He knows my style!”

“I know this style sir, i wil barb you well” Timipreye was sure.

It was two minutes before i heard a shout.

“What!! Look at what you have done to my hair!”

“I am sorry sir!”

Grass-cutter had cut Rain forest into Sahara Desert.

The man’s hair was gone.

“He is sorry sir?” I pleaded.

What followed was a heavy punch to Timipreye; and our Timipreye was nowhere to be found; he had vanished.

“Timi! Where you dey!” I couldn't find him.

“See me here!” I found him sitting comfortably in a bucket of water cooling of.

I was yet pleading.

I was about to shut the open sterilizer.

All of a sudden, a heavy punch landed on the back of my head.

To me I was beheaded by that punch; it was when I felt the warmth of the sterilizer that it dawned on me that my head was sterilizing.

Love knows no bound indeed.

“Flow! Open this door ooh!” Brother Wale longed for his lover.

I thought of muscular Brother on top of muscular Flow making out, then I smiled.

Laughed? I did.

“why you dey laugh na?” Snow said.

“Laugh? make i dey cry?” I jerked for a while and continued laughing.

“wetin we go do for this Flow case!” He said, “Since three days now, Brother Wale no gree go house”

“Oboy I no know wetin we go do ooh!” I answered, “make we go see Iya na, anything wey she talk we go do”

As we left for Iya’s walking the bush path, what the others were thinking wasn’t what I was thinking.

I was thinking.

I was really thinking.

It was two weeks since Man’s paralysis, he wasn’t getting better at all.

Was he gonna die?

Nobody knew I was behind Man’s bedridden for Two weeks. I almost cried when I saw Naeto crying in the hospital the other day when I and Brainbox was in the hospital.

I must confess!

“I must confess!!” I told myself.

“my guys, before we go reach Iya place, I get one confession to tell una”

“Confession!” Brainbox turned, “Now no be time confession”

“Oboy leave am make him confess na!” Snow attacked, "You know weda na him thief that my shoe wey i dey find?"

“Na… na…. na…….. na…….. me make Man paralyze” I wept, “Na me! I meet Iya make she give me concoction wey I mix for him pammy”

“Eheen! You mean am!” Brainbox was shocked, “But why? Why Emma?”

“I do am because of all the wickedness wey him don do me!”

“Wickedness! Which kin wickedness be that?” Snow returned, “Abi him be Judas Is a cariot?”

Worse than Judas Iscariot was Man wey dey reason, yet my conscience rocketed. I was sick of high blood pressure.

“Emma you wicked sha! Na you be wicked person!” Brainbox pushed me for a fight.

I was on the floor and couldn’t gather enough momentum for a punch, yet he had punched me twice before Snow grabbed him.

“You paralyze my man and you dey here!” Brainbox attacked, “If you no find solution wey go make am well, you go see wetin I go do you, I go kill you!”

“You go kill me!” I returned as they moved on, “You be God? You are just mortal!”

“Man no be God” That was my only consolation at that moment as I sat on the floor with blurred eyes and mangled jaw.

Yes, Man will never be God, Man wey dey reason was becoming a god to we his friends, someone needed to stop him, because it wasn’t so in the beginning.

In the beginning it wasn’t so.

What changed?

Our friendship was hitting the rock.

It was getting dark, the time was 17:59.

I stood up and headed for 1759 with the knowing that I would find my way to Iya later that night; when my friends were done with her.

Man wey dey reason must resume reasoning.
