And in fact this is my prblem with Nigeria and Nigerians. Just too triabalistic. Whether she is Yoruba, Hausa, Igbo, Edo, fulani etc nothing changes the fact that she spent close to 500 million Naira to buy two amoured vehicles for herself. Whether it was bought for her or bought by the past aviation minister is inconsequential. She is the one being carried in it. And whether she is building a new airport in Enugu or not doesnt mean she should misappropriate any funds. In fact in reality she is not building any airport as the airport is the right of citizens in a commercial hub like Enugu.

So you see that the common man's security isnt that important. After all ministers ride in amoured SUVs to protect themselves. Senators soon to follow. Must governors already have one. Yet the police is ill-equipped, unemployment is on the rise and students in tertiary institutions (institutions producing many half-baked) are on strike for over 3 months. Yet they tell us the country is broke and the Minister of Aviation is riding in two amoured vehicles. Wow!!!

This country is heading for implosion. Slowly, steadily, gradually.

How on earth will a plane mishap be blamed on God and u want nigerians to keep quiet? What is the no 1 priority of MR president himself if not the protection of lives and property of the populace.
What is the major reason why she is occupying that position if not to ensure safety and modalities in the aviation sector. If according to the senate..about 7 aviation accident (some avoided) had been recorded under two yrs then I don't think she has any idea on how to move the tide forward..

nokingasgod: Every day it amazes me how Nigerians of Nairaland evolved. They are pathologically bigotic, ignorant, uncouth, crude, biased, short-sighted and ill-informed. If these are true representative of average Nigerians, then there is no hope for the Nigerian project.

I am not a fan of FFK and neither am I a hater, I would rather we appraised his message and not his personality because you don't throw the baby with the bath. The incessant air mishaps in recent times is more than enough reason for the minister of aviation to have been sacked. In civilized environment she would have voluntarily resigned because as far as aviation is concerned in Nigeria, the bucks stopped on her table. And as if to give credence to FFK's comments, the minister came out not only to further demonstrate her insensitivity and naivety but to also insult Nigerians using languages most unbecoming of her position.

Rather than the ''crucify him'' song on FFK, think we should critically looked into some of the assertions he made in that essay and see how the insights could be useful in preventing future air crashes. That does not make FFK a saint who could not be reproached when necessary.

We should not allow our hatred for a personality to becloud our senses of reasoning, judgment and decision.

Sincere 9gerian: Sincere9jerian is NOT interested in moderating politics section or any other section. I want to remain a full time player.

Reasons: First is that I dont want the controversies and blackmail associated with being a moderator. Also, I dont have the extra-time for that.

The difference is that you stated that LASG "chose" Cosharis whereas its was Cosharis who chose to do the project as its CSR. If you read the post , you will see it was Coscharis that injected 1 Billion into the moribund venture and would use it to train students for LASG at no cost to LASG for 4 years after which they will manage it for some years before returning it to LASG.

Bottom line, No LASG fund nor idea is involved in this!!!
