Ok, the heading should be Queen shaaa. Lol Last Monday I paid for a dress online (free delivery). On Thursday, it arrived. Then I tested the dress, I liked it, everything was fine just exactly as was advertised. I kept it aside waiting for "owambe time" On Friday afternoon, I don't really know for sure why I went back to that section of stores and discovered that some shops that had the same dress had started selling theirs off (sales) because Autumn just arrived. Same dress for 60% off! So I checked the "return policy" and found that I had seven days to return the dress if in anyway I wasn't satisfied with the product. I decided to give it a try ![]() I sent a chat to the customer service: Me: Hello CS: Hello, how can we help you Me: Pls I want to return a dress (#hands shaking, waiting for abuses, or maybe non-response CS: The address is XXXX..... Pls be sure that the label is still in tact. In my mind Seriously? I ran to a express delivery and sent the dress, with a free-will note attached that I didn't really like the fit. ![]() Today Monday, I sent the CS a chat again as below: Me: Hello CS: Hello how can we help you? Me: Pls have you received the dress I sent? CS: What express did you use and what is the reg number? Me: XX company, 1234567890 CS: Ok received! Dear, pls click on links A, B, C and D put in the registration number and I will send the money back to you. In my mind: This must be heaven! I did and a second later....... Alert! ![]() Me: Thank you so much CS: #flower emoticon Me: #Smile emoticon Me: I will patronize you some other time CS: Okay, thanks. Thing that made me feel good was that there was no harassing or embarrassing questions to why I wanted to change the dress. Also bad market as it were, CS still addressed me as "Dear". But then, when CS sent me the flower emoticon, I started feeling guilty small. I should have just forfeited the money o, after all, its not any parties' fault Altogether, I feel very excited that somewhere on planet Earth, the customer is still treated as the King. Beautiful day, isn't it |
Thank you sir |

OP, I like the calm and undisturbed manner you responded to the quotes. And lemme reinforce: A bastard is an adjective that describes a child that is born by unwed parents. See it as an insult, na you sabi ![]() |
They tried. Quite impressive! |
OP, stop misquoting the bible. Maids in the context of that verse does not mean - housegirl. The old testament uses the word "maid" to refer to a young girl that is unmarried, usually a virgin. The plural form of it being "maidens" not "maids". |
Isn't it better they write him officially and invite him for questioning instead of asking us on here on Nairaland to look out for him? ![]() |

I remember late 90's my dad (the eldest son) and one of his brothers was having land scuffle. Grandpa was already late. My uncle encroached my dad's portion when he was building. My dad only wanted to prove to him that he was wrong, that he (my uncle) should have consulted him before using a part of his plot. Note that my dad's building was already completed, but that portion was my dad's and even if it is empty forever doesn't give him the right to build on it! That was my father's argument! Shikena. But forwia! Uncle will not agree and because he was wealthier, he gained more favor from kins men. Hehehe. Land matter. Serious matter for my people o. Well, the youngest son of the family never puts mouth in the matter, he doesn't even attend land meetings. One day, he called my own brother and told that he has never seen anybody that got enough money to build a house but where to build it becomes a problem! And yes, its true. Thank God, Dad and bro later reconciled. Let it go. OP, I like your position in this issue. Our stay on earth is temporary. If you can, let it go. |

Punny-matter is a very important issue for any man. Yet, the "nairaland man" will always deny it just to feel superior ![]() RIP sir |
Ha! 5 years is long o. Was it "arrangee" marriage? Did you discuss about how to and where to stay before marriage? Apart from physical absence, is he emotionally, spiritually, psychologically and financially absent too? The answers will help advisers get a clear picture. |
Even professors cycle to school here. Hehehe. Its is very normal for working class people to own a car and a bicycle and they alternate their use. First, it reduces road traffic congestion. Next its a great form of exercise. 90% of students here own bicycles, I have never seen any student that owns a car. Yeah, yeah, tell me Chinese people are all poor. Most importantly, it reduces air pollution caused by exhaust fumes. I learned to ride bicycle here and I'm loving it! ![]() |
