Agbaworo, pls stop pasting old pictures here just to satisfy your own interest. That Esther Obiakor street you pasted is old. The road currently is dust free and it was finished more than a year ago. Repent! |
This kind of advertising annoys me! If you have a new product to market, why must you compare it with/ downgrade/ or bad mouth an existing one? Advertise your product intelligently and let your customers decide what they want! Ello ko, yellow ni ![]() |
bolukaz: 8 succesful people alone? Why not take a short trip around your hood and observe scores of uneducated people living 'just' around the poverty line, these people just happened to get a 1-in-a-million chance of making it big in an education-driven societyThank you for intervening on time |
For sure! You can. Lemme polish your ideas ![]() You can employ the following assistants: A good architect to give you a standard office drawing plan or just forget it and rent an office A English-graduate receptionist that will blow grammar to attract reasonable customers. A good Agriculturalist that will know what plants to grow on a particular type of soil, muturing of crops, pest control, proper mechanisation etc An give you ideas on crops that can grow in the climate where your farm is but you never knew. Software engineers that can develop software that watch your crops grow, softwares that can monitor movement within the farm (for security) Agro-Economist to calculate the effect of the growth on our GPD Marketers to take marketing of your farm products to the next level, like suit-and-tie graduate marketers. Who else? Emmmm |

Life Lessons I learnt from her story 1. Information is very powerful. Being rightly informed saves lives! The same i-pad some people will use to play games so they can forget their pains or upload the dirty ceilings of the quarantine ward on FB, Twitter to shame their "clueless govt", is the same tool she used to stay informed and alive! 2. Winning (or losing) starts from the mind! What she told her mum on phone while she was wheeled to the isolation center showed a person that had greater chances of surviving. 3. Surrounding yourself with the right people. I'm so proud of her honestly. The people around her were awesome! Mother, husband, Pastor Friends etc. People that encouraged her all the way through 4. Maintaining a Balance in Life! See the way she balanced prayer and medication. Powerful woman! May God continue to keep and guide your home. |
Nice write-up. However, your conclusion that stated the need for 45,000 for the next decade made me #smile. ESUT alone churns them "food scientists" in multitudes every year. |

Even with all the rigors, see the joys on their faces. But my naughty niece, with all the possible comfort his parents offer, full lunch box, Bobo and plantain chips, and AC car to match, he still cries to school. Everyday! ![]() |

Nigerians I know, haven learnt from their government and leaders, will set up a committee to look into the matter, contribute their money and send to the spokesman of the Armed-Robbers Association. While the Police continues to investigate the matter, the judiciary waits for them to arrest the culprits, so that they can be brought to book! Hehehe. Boko comes to my mind ![]() Sorry, we don't take the bull by the horn in my country. |
Hehe. This guy is in for some trouble esp because he is black! See charges, kikikikiki, even kidnapping ![]() Oh well, lets hear from the defendant first. I won't be surprised if the lady is over-reacting. #My opinion |
First of all, Whose car? For instance, my brother drives my own parents car. Secondly, we are on our way to somewhere and I entered the car first. Then I sight his friend (girl or boy sef), I get down and get behind Okay o :/To even hear that the friend asked me to switch seats. Huh? Lemme comment my reserve here. |
The old saying "Success has many friends". |
This topic was inspired by 6 Reasons not to attend a Private University and 6 Reasons not to attend a Public University. There are many reasons why you should leave Nigeria for studies but in the spirit of sequence, I will leave it at 6! In my opinion (well, until it changes), the best time for you to leave is while you are still young and single! Because taking one, two or more people along is more expensive and tasking. Besides, there is no holiday in marriage. Here are the reasons why you should start planing your exit now! 1. Cost: Yes! There are many institutions, organizations and bodies that are giving scholarships to students to study abroad. You may just not know it! Some schools abroad also offer free tuition. It may be actually cheaper for you to study abroad than in Nigeria. Oya, time to start using your productive hours on good online research rather than booking space on all NL threads. ![]() 2. Personal and Academic Growth: Studying abroad is a perfect catalyst for individual growth, you just grow overnight. This is basically achieved by experience. Meeting people from every sphere of life has helped me a lot, personally. At least, I can tell much about various countries, regions of the world. 3. Learn a new language and culture: Whenever you learn a new language, you double your world. Immerse yourself into a totally different culture. You will eat new food and learn to cook local specialties to surprise your friends and family on your return. 4. Meeting new people: From staying in international students dormitory to going for international meetings, from attending international gatherings (church, mosques), to attending international festivals, you meet people that can help reshape your perspective about the world. And who knows where your better half is. Lol 5. Great Resume: You already know that a degree from a school abroad commands better attention of the recruitment officers during job-hunting. And during interviews, you can show future employers (and yourself!) that you can be thrown in the deep end and cope with a variety of intense good and bad situations, and get something positive out of the experience. Your year(s) abroad experiences are perfect interview fodder for their questions along the lines of “give me an example of when you excelled in a difficult situation”. 6. Unforgettable Experiences: My first time of boarding a plane was on my way to school, abroad! What an awesome sight up in the clouds! Other new experiences may include: go skiing with friends, mountain climbing, playing a sport, just have fun. On a finally note: When I was in Nigeria, I saw only Nigeria. When I moved abroad, I saw the world! You can add or subtract. Thank you. ![]() |
