jamesibor:Yet igbos don't even have a single state that can even boast of or match Oyo's population, not to talk of Ogun's? Smh. You people and your delusions. I thought you people said you constitute '40%' of kano population. You and the Op are smoking some serious conk weed/egbo. Awon alakori.

InyinyaAgbaOku:Eh.. This freak below isn't Yoruba o. ![]()

bounty007:Kai! Smh. E don be for una. You people have sunken so low to the point of celebrating over an igbo man acquiring property in Yorubaland?? Wetin make Dangote people come do for Kano as e dey build dat super expensive refinery for the same Lagos? Dem for declare public holiday because e get cement factory wey propel am into becoming the richest African in the same SW (Ogun state). Wetin go come happen if igboman buy property for Dubai Odiegwu oo. Seriously, it seems that Lagos may actually be one of the major impediments in the way of SE development, seeing how you people prize property ownership in the state at the expense of your own collective pride as a people. Come, I repeat, no be only igbo people own property for Lagos ooo. Lagos doesn't give a flipping fvck who you are or where you are from, it will collect your money and use it for further development. #Fact Whatever Ojiakor may have paid for the said property has already been captured as a sale with profit. It would have probably cost him way lesser than the amount paid if he had chose to build a replica of the property in the east rather than on reclaimed land at Eko Atlantic. But then again, who can blame him? Smart people invest in Lagos/SW. Therefore, on that account, I can't blame the guy. ![]() |
See these foolish people masturbating all over this thread? This is why the SE will never develop, because it lacks the environment and character to attract the the best to move over there to contribute to it's development. Isn't it ironic that the purported buyer of the property in question would rather buy it in Lagos rather than build one in his native Anambra? The reason is simple. The Tinubu who initiated the eko Atlantic project, as a typical forward thinking Yoruba man, originally positioned it to be an investors haven that will continually attract capital from anywhere, irrespective of race, color or creed. That's the difference between Yorubas and igbos, and why even the best and most successful igbos (as well as other Nigerians and foreigners) will continue to troop to our land with their capital coz they know their money is not only safe there, but also coz they know it is the only part of Nigeria where their investments have real value and will continue to appreciate. Igbos are not the only non-natives investing their capital in Yorubaland. Dangote is building his refinery there. The French owners of Lafarge are there. Even American multinationals are not left out. Some of the wealthiest Nigerians of Yoruba extraction also have stakes. Igbos should receive sense and stop this foolishness of celebrating their kin acquiring a property in Lagos, and rather focus on how they can reposition their region to replicate the Lagos/SW environment, that way other Nigerians and foreigners (including the elusive deep pocket igbos who refuse to invest their money in the region) can also feel welcome to contribute to the region's development. You people abusing NwaAmaikpe truly need some sober reflection, rather than celebrating a private individual's investment in property in Lagos. |

OP, most people know you an igbo who is too ashamed of his tribe and attempts to use this moniker to fool the few remaining gullible folks here into thinking otherwise. You can pass the same message without resorting to this level of foolishness. You don't need this. ![]() |

NigerDeltan:You must not be current to have said this. thatNUPEboy:Even if per chance that he did say so, it is just his own personal extrapolation from what akande said. Some Northerners who are also interested in Buhari's seat, like Aliero, have become emboldened to also step forward to declare their ambition. In 2015, rochas okorocha from the SE ran against Buhari and other Northerners for the ticket and nobody stopped him. |
thatNUPEboy:My comment was based on a similar report from him that graced front page yesterday. In any case, wetin be my own. https://www.nairaland.com/4116874/2019-now-baba-akande-spoken |
muller101:You have already soaked yourself in bigotry on account of your innuendos. |
muller101:Who is shinning teeth with you?? Why are you igbos like this? Why? You can't even live in peace and harmony amongst yourselves even though most of you claim to practice christianity, yet you think you can pontificate to others? |
muller101:How come igbo Anglicans refuse to give their daughters to igbo Catholics? How come Imo Catholics refused an Anambra from presiding over them? Also how come Enugu fired Anambra civil servants right after state creation? Why did Abia fire non-indigenes from it's civil service not long ago? You people clearly have a diabolical agenda against Yoruba people. You had better face and resolve your own issues rather than poking nose into Yoruba affairs that does not concern you. |
Deedeedeeone:According to him, all our talents, hardwork and brilliance are because of 'One Nigeria' and would be useless without 'One Nigeria'. Yoruba folks ought to be competing with the likes of the Japanese, Americans , Germans on the world stage. But we have been reduced to competing with yibbo people coz we are trapped in this contraption that tells us we can't develop past a certain point because some other parts have to play catchup and slow down the rest of us, we can't generate our own power (even though we certainly have the capacity to) because some people who have not invested money in IPPs like our states have would feel bad, or we must get permission from Abuja to allow us build a light rail on our own soil. We are supposed to endure the jealousy and envy of some people we share the same country with, who wish us ill and hope the worst befalls Lagos and the rest of the SW. Only a self-loathing slave would choose such existence over the inpendence to chart his own course through life. |
ModsWillKillNL:Guy, stay the fvck off my mention. Your mentality is too sickening and reeks of acute inferiority complex. You are certainly free to remain a slave after Nigeria has been dismembered. You are on your own. |
Deedeedeeone:It's the height of inferiority complex and self-hatred for any true Yoruba person to actually believe and propagate the sick idea that we are incapable of being on our own. In fact it's insane. |
Markfemi2:I was referring specifically to none other than the slavish Ilorin-fula Yoruba wannabes whose mentality he's depicting, not the other Kwaran yorubas who do not share such inferiority complex. |
mercyville:I think he's the same person as that sarr..ki character that constitutes a nuisance on here. You can tell by the way some of those ilorin/fula Yorubas reason. Very slavish in their mentality. They are free to merge with the rest of the North when this damned country disintegrates for all I care. |
hilroy:I agree with you on this point. There are many silent achievers from other supposedly minority tribes who are also doing big things out there. Even the Hausa-Fulanis sef have theirs. |
coolcatty:How is it wrong?? Did you read it at all coz I don't get where this talk is coming from? The report clearly stated that there are thousands of dollar millionaires and multi millionaires and only 4 dollar billionaires. You people blood too dey hot. Learn to read properly and comprehend lest you keep embarrassing yourself Chai! |
Nbote:Smh. Some of you guys in you people sef. I am sure your bigotry and tribalism caused to not to comprehend what you read, that's if at all you read it. The report captured dollar millionaires and multimillionaires as well as billionaires in Lagos whom could have come from anywhere. Akpu is really dealing with una brains in those parts. |
neoOduduwa:Na expo dem dey do pass for there. Abia was number one on the list of the states with highest exam malpractice incidences. Infact the entire SE led the list. http://dailypost.ng/2017/06/20/reuben-abati-jamb-2017-matters-arising/ The statistics on 2017 UTME malpractice is noteworthy. Most of the affected states are from the South East and South South as follows: Abia (381 cases), Imo (193), Anambra (152), Enugu (114), Cross River (78), Ebonyi (48), Akwa Ibom (44) while the states with the lowest number of cases are from the North viz: Kebbi (1), Kaduna (16), Kano (29), Katsina (2), Kogi (7) Sokoto (25), Taraba (4), Zamfara (1). Yobe and Jigawa states had no reported case of examination malpractice, only 2 cases of multiple registration from the latter. Could it be then that students and CBT operators in the North are more honest than their Southern counterparts, or perhaps less computer savvy? Does the 2017 UTME say anything about national character? |
Drogbs:Let's even assume that Fayose is telling the truth sef, just for the sake of argument, none of your states or cities (and certainly NOT Enugu which is supposedly your 'best') can match that same Ibadan. #Fact. If Ibadan is 'dead' (according to his opinion, which at the end of the day doesn't count for much really coz he's a non-entity), then the SE isn't even in contention. I have showed an earlier report by Euromonitor, one of the most reputable market, data and analytics firms in the world, wherein the same Ibadan was adjudged one of the fastest growing cities in Africa with a high consumer spending power. NO SINGLE SE state featured on the list. http://blog.euromonitor.com/2016/08/top-10-sub-saharan-cities-consumer-spending-growth-2030.html https://s4.postimg.org/osi6p7fod/euro.png |
Drogbs:Yinmu. You think we didn't see you and your fellow touts jacking off over what Fayose's brother said? One of you punks even said that ibadan wasn't developed because there aren't igbos there like there are in Kano and Kaduna. Like seriously?? Outside Lagos, Ibadan and Abuja which other city in the entire country hosts a standard CBD or a more than 25-storey skyscraper up till today? How come igbos have yet to 'develop' the SE to such to such a level up till today, let alone talking about developing other regions. And you expected us to allow such blasphemy to slide?? For your mind. At least that Fayose brother did acknowledge that there's a KFC at ibadan (no less than 4 KFC outlets litter the city, only Ibadan and Lagos play host to that world renowned brand), common Yoruba-owned Chicken Republic Wey one igbo guy franchised in Anambra na im your brothers dey celebrate, yet una dey run that una dirty mouth dey talk shyt about IB, gbogbo yin ti ya werre. |

deji68:You should bury your head in shame for lying about the ownership of heritage mall which is a private entreprise owned by the Odua Investment Company Ltd. Smh. You are a disgrace. http://whatsupibadan.com/?p=4263 |
deji68:STFU. Listen to yourself, punk. Is the escalator not working enough reason to trash the city? Can't escalator not stop working in Abuja? Is Ajimobi or the state govt. responsible for that? Is that enough reason to consider the city 'dead'? The problem here in that you accepted a mere opinion as FACT! A million other ibadan folks may feel different about their city, yet you accepted Fayose's and you expect a bouquet of flowers. What next should we expect from you? Pictures of brown-roofs? Tha fvck out of here with your omo-ale mentality. |
Newmanluckyman:Poppycock. I know you too well, guy. You are a confam Yoruba-hater. Your opinion is as worthless as my trash.
