Hope he won't go bankrupt again after the misadventure. He will be up against a ruling party both at the state and centre. |
Not the least surprising. The U.S has always wanted to discredit the ICC for its own selfish purposes. |
What a waste of human life. American cops are always trigger-happy. Dia blood too dey hot. See how she just wasted the poor guy. |
heayernu56:Guy, virtually all the major parties will be fielding Ibadan candidates so get real. Oke Ogun will be pacified because they will have little choice (their choices will be limited to Ibadan contestants in most if not all the parties). Ask yourself why neither of the other parties is fielding anyone from Oke-Ogun either. It's all strategy my friend. The reality is that for now APC is not strong enough in Ibadan so it cannot take that risk of fielding a non-ibadan person coz in such an event the party will most likely lose the election. The best it can do under the prevailing circumstance is to split Ibadan votes like it did during Ajimobi second term, by fielding an Ibadan native and getting a chunk of votes there. Oke Ogun would be better off under an APC ibadan man than any other mushroom party. Oke Ogun will likely be compensated. It's all politics. |
seunmsg:Well, I think due to incumbency factor/Federal might Amosun's candidate will have his way. BUT I think the whole consensus arrangement is fast going out of fashion because if you pick an unpopular candidate it might end up leading to schism/disaffection among other candidates who will feel cheated. It also smacks of Amsoun's fear of not having enough control over his state's structure hence his need to impose his will. Ideally, he should have subjected the candidates to direct primaries to test their popularity and so that they can all go around to the APC members in the three senatorial districts to tell them about their individual agendas for the state and canvass for votes. The days of imposition are fast disappearing because other candidates will not just keep quiet if they feel cheated or treated unfairly. Man is a political animal, according to Aristotle, so it is foolhardy to think others contestants won't put up a fight. |
senatordave1:For strategic reasons, APC must field an Ibadan person to stand a chance coz Ibadan ( too populous to ignore) will be the battleground hotspot -- the party might even not do too well in the city but will still carry the day with Oyo, Oke Ogun and Ogbomosho votes (it is strong in those areas and that wont chnage overnight) support same way it happened during Ajimobi second term. And you are wrong about Ibadan ruling since '79. Bola Ige (an Ijesha from present-day Osun who won Oyo governorship in '79) won under UPN and his deputy Bisi Akande (former Osun state governor) were both from the Osun division back then (Osun was part of Oyo at the time). Though he lost reelection (allegedly via rigging) to an ibadan man in the person of Olunloyo of NPN in '83. Olunloyo's tenure was short lived thanks to the Buhari/Idiagbon military takeover. |

He's actually correct, and the report even featured more than once on nairaland front-page when it was released. But of course as expected some usual suspects were not happy about it. The NBS report is at the following link for the doubting Thomases. http://www.nigerianstat.gov.ng/download/694

No Atiku? Or has he been schemed out of contention? |
Johnnyessence:Now I see why you get ridiculed on this forum. I hope you and your fellow ipob miscreants will finally shut the fvck up after going through what I'm about to hit you with. BRT was INITIATED by Tinubu before he handed over to Fashola. It's like saying that BRT is an Ambode project simply because he bought new buses. If you are a Lagosian, you would know that the BRT lanes were already under construction before Fashola was sworn in. Even the buses had been bought. Educate yourself and stop acting a fool on social media in the name of politics: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lagos_Bus_Rapid_Transit_System Ditto the Light-Rail: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lagos_Rail_Mass_Transit The idea of developing a light rail network for Lagos was revived by Governor Bola Tinubu in the early 2000s with a formal announcement of its construction in December 2003.Eko Atlantic City: https://www.ekoatlantic.com/latestnews/press-clipping/a-new-city-for-the-rich-in-lagos/ The project began in 2006 when the Bola Tinubu administration granted SENL the concession to reclaim and develop land for the city. Since then, the company has recorded a huge success, as more than 1.3 million square metres of land has already been reclaimed and is up for sale.Lagos IGR was N600million naira monthly by the time Tinubu took over in '99. He left it at N8-billion naira monthly by the time he handed over to Fashola in 2007. #Fact. I see intimidation written all over that list. PDP ti keran n'ipinle Osun. |
Babatope the noisemaker should be more concerned about how to stop Omisore from eating into PDP votes than worry about a Tinubu that is not even on the ballot.

MrMystrO:I thought as much. |
Why Kenyatta eye always red like he smokes egbo? |
Corrinthians:Na dem sabi the wahala wey dem carry for head. They keep attacking the city as if it is dragging anything with their fathers. I have never come across any set of people suffering from a worse form of inferiority complex. They must put other people down to feel good about themselves. *Spits* |
sean1000x:Bring all your cities put together, dem still no reach. Ibadan will continue to torment una till eternity.
|
sean1000x:Lol. Why is that picture purple tinted. I know, I know. To hide the brown roofs. Here is the real Onitsha skyline. Let me help you for free. The real Onitsha, no tints.
|
sean1000x:If that is the Ibadan that torments you in your nightmare, that is fine dear ipob tout. And ibadan matter will continue to torment you till eternity.
|
You iboss just like to look for trouble. Unfortunately for you, Ibadan no send una hatred. The real Ibadan downtown below beats anything in your entire erosion ravaged region. #Fact

Adebowale89:Lol. Ok o Omo iya. Fire on. Na dem go kuku tire because na jeje we siddon for our region before dem carry diasef come our place come hustle to survive. We no follow dem drag, rather they are the ones whom out of their inferiority complex, are always first to try to prove that they are 'developed' while running down others, yet they won't sit their triffling butts in their 'deveoped' region. Dem say we no 'develop' reach dem, yet they won't stop trooping to our region for survival. Such irritating mowfvckas. |
Adebowale89:I don't understand why you people still bother with those empty flatron braggarts when those jokers aren't even worth the stress. They beat chest, make noise, do 'notice-me' pass any other African on the face of the earth, yet they are the ones still fleeing their 'developed' region in droves for other regions for livelihood. Who else does that? After shouting all over cyberspace about how better-off they are than everybody else on God's green earth, the still pack their bags the following day and take the next Night-bus to 'lesser-developed' parts of Nigeria/Africa to earn a living. Why waste your time on such jokers? You get time o. |
PDP always 'uncovering' fresh plots.
|
Everything about this chap screams FRAUD. |
Boring. Just another attention-seeking flatron biafrat. |
TundeBricklayer:Guy, the joke is on you because you are the one who feels the need to run down Ibadan to hype your own glorified villages and towns that you call cities. Please try and proof read your posts before hittng the submit button coz you just keep exposing your foolishness. You keep calling Lagos and ibadan slums, yet your people won't stop emigrating to those places as can be attested by their ever-increasing population growth and development. Upon all the hype you get paid to do for your state, your own folks are still talking with their feet by fleeing your enclave in droves for the very same region you love to hate. Nobody gives a flipping Bleep about you or your slum-campaign coz at the end of the day you are a nobody who is merely doing his job of propaganda disemmination for your boss. You are way beneath me in every ramification so I refuse to do for free what you are getting paid to do. Nah. I am way beyond that. |
TundeBricklayer:Gosh. Dude, you need to spend some of that money you earn from sucking Obiano's deek and go enroll at some Adult education school because you can hardly string together coherent sentences. I am way past engaging you considering how mentally challenged you are. ![]() |
Yyeske:You are the ignoramus here coz total ibadan landmass has always been reckoned to be almost as large as the entire Lagos landmass, some parts of which aren't fully built up even. Its landmass stands at 3080-square km (which isn't farfetched when you consider Oyo state total landmass is about 29,000-square km). Every available data corroborates that. And that landass still remains the largest of any single city in the entire West Africa. #Fact. Population-wise it has the third most populated metro-area outside Lagos and Kano (as at the 2006 census, ibadan population was reckoned to be third largest [close to 3-million, which was almost the entire population of Enugu state as at 2006] behind Lagos and Kano with kano edging it out by about 200k inhabitants, while Onitsha recorded a meager 261k population figure). Results from a recent Oyo state government property enumeration exercise puts the current estimated population of ibadan at no less than 7-million. Like an earlier poster stated, it would be shocking if Onitsha wasn't already built-up and densely populated by now considering its very limited landmass (even after adding the surrounding towns sef).
