...you made it look like a picture competition. Acknowledgement of a problem is the first solution to solving it.
Acknowledge what exactly? An opinion from a confirmed riff-raff? We're merely debunking that crap considering how you punks are already masturbating all over the place like you just heard the best news of the year. It's not a surprise that you jealous Ipobs are quick to accept such crap as gospel truth. The same Ibadan was rated as one of the FASTEST GROWING CITIES IN AFRICA by EuroMonitor, alongside PH and Abuja.

No single SE state in your entire region made the cut. Na jealousy go kill all of una. As una dey hate on Ibadan, she's dusting your entire region into oblivion. You can Choke on that.

Sir, u deserve an award for this insightful analysis that wraps up the two ethnic ideas of entrepreneurship.
The truth is no well educated igbo guy can come on this thread to defend his tribe, its like a somalian dragging development with an american..... another name for it is attempted suicide
To be honest with you, I don't entirely blame them for their over-estimation of their own abilities and achievements. I think that due to their humiliating Civil War defeat, they developed an inferiority complex which unfortunately has become very deep-seated. As a show of sympathy toward their plight, a lot of Yorubas and others from various ethnicities started over-praising them in an attempt to help soothe the agony of their defeat, but unfortunately this created another problem because they actually started believing that they're better than everybody else. They started looking down on others, misinterpreting the humility exhibited by others toward them as weakness. To their sick minds, they are the only 'industrious' people, the only people that aren't lazy. But all that crap is starting to backfire because even the Northerners won't take their shyt any longer hence their recent ultimatum.

You can't depend on other regions for survival while calling them names and forming superiority. Yorubas have been too diplomatic with them, to the extent that their excesses in our space has become intolerable. This thread in a way is a response and a backlash meant to correct the mistakes of some of our elders who encouraged them in the face of their blatant propaganda and over-estimation of their own importance. It is sending a STRONG and EMPHATIC message to them that they should quit deceiving themselves into thinking that they're the shyt, coz they ain't shyt cool, and that we are in FIRM CONTROL of our own space (no contest). Their propaganda has run its course. This thread na myth-buster that is setting the records straight.

The guy is pained that YORUBA is progressing upward and forward! YORUBAS have bursted the lies of IGBOS of being most industrious in Nigeria. Chaii...even the northern people are more industrious than this noise making IGBOs ... YORUBAS I salute una oooo
Igbo industry starts and ends with setting up a 2x2 shop where he retails mostly imported and substandard merchandise. If an igboman tells you that you are not hardworking, what he actually means is that until you and your ethnicity also decide to become a race of nomadic 2x2 shop owners, then you don't know the meaning of hard work. But unfortunately for them, some of us are more ambitious in life. In fact, Yoruba men would rather leave the rudiments of the igbo kind of trading to their women/wives (na we dey open shops for our wives, rather than being the ones sitting in the shop to sell market), while they (Yoruba men) challenge their minds with more ambitious pursuits.

No matter how educated they are, at some point they always go back to trading in their signature 2x2 shops to sell substandard imported goods. The overwhelming majority of them that live and earn a living outside their region are involved in one form of trading or another because that's what they're good at. You will hardly find them in skilled labour because they prefer to be in their shops. They will rather embrace drug-trafficking if trading fails to bring them riches than become skilled welders, electricians, mechanics, tailors, and the likes.

Be it in Kano, in Kaduna, in Gombe, in Lagos, wherever you find them in their numbers they are most engaged in trading. Which isn't bad of itself except that in their twisted minds, they would have us believe that entrepreneurship starts and ends with being a trader.

That's nonsense because what we have been witnessing throughout this thread is the true definition of Entrepreneurship and Industry. Yorubas are the TRUE entrepreneurs of Nigeria. They are the ones oiling the engine of the organized private sector. They are versatile and can be found in every sector of the economy, providing leadership, innovation, and cutting edge solutions. Yet they are not noisemakers. That right there is TRUE Entrepreneurship.

It truly beats the imagination. How can you be so ashamed of your tribe to deny them on an anonymous forum? What defect is so bad to make a sane man do such? How damaged can that tribe be? What is so bad that he doesn't want to identify with?

Its truly sad and shameful
Bro, it's really shameful. Nothing can justify denying who you are. It's an insult to his parents and forebears. But then again he might have his reasons. Perhaps he's being wary of all the bad press them folks have been generating lately, from Evans, to Drug-trafficking, to the Northern youths ultimatum. Same way other igbo deniers have their reasons. undecided Guy, I'd probably deny being igbo too if I was an Igbo domiciled in the North today o. grin Na to give myself Afonja tribal mark and claim Ogbomosho go sure pass. cheesy It can't be easy being igbo right about now in history, bro. undecided

Oh, now I get it. Lol. You are from one of the igbo-denying 'igboid' groups of Rivers. But why do you guys openly reject being igbo, while acknowledging it in secret? Do igbos bear the 'mark of Cain' or something that causes the Ikwerres and others to dissociate themselves from them? Nobody seems to want to be igbo, why? That's fuvcked up. undecided

But why do you igbos deny your ethnicity to score cheap points? You can still take shots at Yoruba people without denying your ethnicity. It's a sad shame, really, because you make it seem like there's something wrong with owning up to who you are. Either that or something must be fundamentally wrong with being igbo as people keep denying them left and right. It's sad, really.

Look here, it's not about noise making and chest beating. The indices are there. You guys are simply not viable, which explains why you all have to leave that god-forsaken erosion ravaged region.
