Actually, not really true. These are the factors that contribute to it. Advancement in mobile technology such a faster data ntw, higher quality phones, bigger data files and more video content.

Take for instance, 1g of data cannot be used in Facebook for 24hrs in a stretch. Why? Higher picture qualities taken by mobile phones and uploaded on Facebook, more videos on Facebook (some of high quality), Facebook apk size (and its attendant consumption of memory due to caching etc.)

Then YouTube videos (many don't know how to reduce the quality of YouTube video while watching), Instagram (full of pictures and videos, all high quality meaning more data consumption)

These are the reasons 1g of data cannot so much today compared to 5 years ago.
it be like say you no sabi mtn

Okay why is it that if I buy the same amount of data on airtel it last longer than on mtn?
I noticed mtn love doing this; if I download a file of 50mb they would probably double it which means I spent 100 mb for a 50mb file

Mtn too dey chop data

They wanted to look different, but that was their greatest mistake
Nokia's mistake wasn't only with windows,it started with symbian

They invested a lot on that failed is which rained for a short while before android which was wayy smarter and better came to the mobile world

Them instead of improving the is and copying ideas from android they moved to windows which was an os nobody liked or wanted to use plus it has very limited features compared to android and ios
I personally loved the home screen and store design especially the Xbox store but that couldn't make up for it's other short comings
App support was another major factor, that's why huawei is doing it's best to get developers to creat apps for it's device
Their new os would most likely be able to install android apps plus they might have to get license and pay google for their services like maps, mails and the likes on their phones because there's no way they can compete with google In some aspects especially in that map area and youtube
Infact in most if not all googled services

what actually killed BB is the license of BBM they sold out, it's like you selling your uniqueness to other brands, they won't patronize you anymore cux they know you aren't the only one having that feature.

if BB didn't give license to Android over BBM, we might not even know apple and android today cux many people would still want to continue to PING cux of that BBM...

I missed that device tho...
exactly, imessage and facetime made iPhones popular then unlike now that more and more people choose whatsapp over it and ios is now good enough and has a lot of features people can't leave it for

Then imessage and facetime was the key when android was still struggling in those aspects
If blackberry held on to bbm
Now bbm might not even be the main thing, brand loyalty would have set in and blackberry would probably be like the way iphones are in people's mind right now

It is not about weed bro. The day nokia was sold to Microsoft corporation, they dug their own grave. Bill Gate couldn't give users the necessary software updates. I think they resell it to another firm that later changed it into android device.
they resold nokia mobile to hmd global but hmd decided to keep the name probably since it brings back memories

You're giving it out selling it because you have no further use for it

Blackberry has no appstore, no security updates, no software support. Give it to your gateman or just slide it in a drawer somewhere since you don't want to sell at a reasonable price
actually it supports android apps

Phones / Re: Please Help. Should I Get The Iphone 7 Or A Good Android And Which Do You by Flytime: 7:49pm On Dec 09, 2020

Sorry bros, just saw this now.

My experience with the phone has been great so far. The phone ba3 is amazing. Been using the phone since around this time yesterday and haven't plugged it to charge although electricity was restored late last night but I no fit stand up joor and the battery is remaining 32% as at now.

On the first day I got it, I charged it full, then started making use of it from 10pm till 4am with my data on all this while and the ba3 was still remaining a lot, can't really remember how many percent.
D phone doesn't slack, d camera is good although I don't make use of cameras but most persons who has made use of it appreciated it. A lady with an iPhone even preferred using the phone for taking photos, don't know why though.

Then for games, I don't play games that much except football and I have the pes2021, the one that makes use of data and the game runs smoothly on it without any hindrance. I also updated the phone system the night I bought it so everything is up to date.
The design is good and everybody is always asking what phone it is, so I guess it is captivating, lol. I haven't noticed the phone slack when making use of it, the speaker is good.
There are also some other cool stuffs I like in the phone but I don't really know how to explain it.

D phone might probably have some issues but I haven't noticed any for now[
is it amoled and is the fingerprint scanner on the back?

Storm1 is not a fully touch screen, it's a confused screen Button. The screen itself click and sink when operating. I don't even know how I could explain it sef. grin
actually they had touch screen devices even with physical buttons for example the q10, passport and some of 9900/bold series
They created 2 fully touch screen devices without physical keyboards
The blackberry z10 and z30
The z30 is a nice device,I know someone using it but it's more like a side phone to the person now

They didn't have the same app support as iOS and android so people stopped using them. They were also stuck in the past holding on to the business phone persona and physical keyboard when most business people had moved on to iPhone and Android.
thats why they made the blackberry 10 have the ability to install android apps but it was to late for them then plus why go through the stress of downloading or sending apps when you could get a better device that would download them directly from the official store?

HTC stopped making phone after HTC one, Don't lecture me on phones. Huawei sold more phones than iPhone this year. How many people have you seen using Huawei compared to iPhone. Because the majority of iPhone that is sold in Wes Africa is second hand phone, which Huawei is selling first Hand base on majority. Do you want to talk about phone spec or what?. Chinese and India covers African market alone, so if Huawei is selling 80% of there phone in Asia , it still cover West Africa market. iPhone is not distributed in West Africa, and Samsung low budget phone is what is sold here .
wrong
If you go to wikipedia and check iPhones and regions they were released to, nigeria is always part expect for few older devices
They have stores in nigeria,I think mostly in malls
Samsung also have stores in nigeria and they sell the latest devices, leave your house and the slot in your neighborhood before coming to conclusions

Even slot has their devices but mostly keeps them Indoors because most people won't buy

If apple starts selling their old devices brand new in nigeria they'll start opening stores everywhere because people would start patronizing them but for example the 7 isn't sold in their stores anymore and how many people can afford the 8 upward ?

Let me tell apple is making their money clean in nigeria, people can afford it
Do you think celebrities or our politicians buy fairly used?

Blackberry didnt die because of that. These are the main reasons Why they died;
1.Ignoring Touchscreen
A key reason to BlackBerry’s failure is their ignorance in choosing to stick with the Querty keyboard whilst leaders like Apple provided a full touchscreen interface to which consumers preferred. Although previously BlackBerry’s had been popular due to their ease of use with instant messaging and firing off quick emails through the keyboard and scrolling ball.

2.Underestimating the competition
Perhaps BlackBerrys greatest issue was its lack of respect for competition. While all the tumult and evolution was happening on the Android and Apple front, BlackBerry was more concerned with protecting what it already had instead of conquering new lands. It
actually that was a major factor plus when they came to android they offered less for more compared to competitions
The didn't ignore touch screen, they implemented it
The only issue is that they failed to remove the physical keyboard which they still use in their latest phones up till today except the z10 and z30 ,that shows you how they haven't learned from their mistake

I would rather send my children to OAU, Lag, Uniben and even Lasu rather than waste my money on overhyped institution.

Till date, UI still produces the best doctors followed by Lag then Unilorin,

Till Date Lasu still produces best law students in Law school..

I don't want to stress myself listing many areas that other universities products are way ahead of these overhyped private unis.

Don't get it twisted... My emphasis is on the OVERHYPE status and I'm not condemning any institution... Its all bout choice

Let us talk about programs going on in unis

Most of those programs aren't available in public unis,I'm not talking about courses but side programs awards and scholarships

If you check the statistics of that majority of the schools in nigeria there are private unis and convenant wins most of the awards

Private unis provides more opportunities

My cousin and I were arguing about something and she was like a friend of hers whose father is working I think in a petroleum institute and is in charge of employing said they prefer private uni graduates to public uni graduates

The only advantage of going to public uni is being street smart and you could learn most if not all of that during your nysc

If private unis are more affordable then of course people would rush it and they'll produce the best students

Best students depends on the students, the school is a minor factor

Toks2008:
I laugh seeing these crazy fees charged by an institution that has little or no influence on your success after graduating...

It is not the school that determines the quality of the graduates but it is how good an individual is.

A brilliant smart school drop out can achieve better in life than a redundant harvard graduate.

Statistics have shown that graduates of public universities do better in life than products of private unis regardless of the huge charges by the latter.

Ironically covenant University still ranks below Uniben, unilag and OAU so why the hype?
you are wrong
What statistics

This is just like the case of those saying vanity up and down

No go huzzle they shout kids who go to public schools are better off

Oxford, Yale and the likes are prestigious universities, the funds are secondary not primary because they are other requirements from applicants especially for starters in B.SC and others.
they're other universities abroad that's affordable better ranking than all the universities in Nigeria.
Those universities are well funded and well facilitated for research and development than universities in Nigeria, better affiliate programs for students in some prestigious universities abroad.
Peaceful environment nothing like kidnapping, unstable calendar, old curriculum.
You will visit known tourist sites around the world, in that country, explore the city ,learn new culture, language with good roads, stable electricity without fear and panic .
You will meet tutors in the field of study with current happening not pour and chew..
more affordable for it's citizens not for non citizens that wants to go study abroad

But I agree with the fact that studying abroad (western world's some Asian countries) is better than studying in nigeria
