Young ones should deter/caution/dissuade their parents from having more children than they can cater for. I am proud to say I did that to my parents. If I had not, I doubt they would have been able to sponsor me to where I am today. People must be a little bit selfish.

I had a friend way back and her erstwhile boyfriend broke up with her when it was time for marriage. He's rich but he said he can't take on her family's burden.

I didn't blame him though and I told her my thoughts. She isn't the first child but her whole family solely depended on her for survival. Plus they were 5 kids (inclusive of her). Told her that her siblings need to start fending for themselves somehow because nobody is coming to save you.
