[quote author=Magnoliaa post=119063860]Oh. He's even a recurring role cast? ![]() I nor know am. But that's the thing with Nollywood. I guess actors like Toyin Abraham, Funke Akindele and the likes were only able to break from that norm because they wrote, directed and produced most of their movies. Femi Adebayo. If not ehn, they would have fitted them with one role for "life" in every of their movies. Look at Timini. ![]() And I know he has the versatility, but I feel that "bad boy" portrayal is really limiting him. Oh. I watched the "First Look" video they posted and I can already see so many holes, lmao. ![]() Firstly, one babe's name was Carmen. I know we absolutely bear English names here very well, but stillll. CARMEN loun loun. Not Vanessa. Sarah. Ivy. Priscilla. Helen. Kate. That would only make sense to me if there was some subsequent backstory that kinda situated or put that name in context. Secondly, the guy ran into the class looking dishevelled. And he has not tied his tie. Unless they later on showed a back-scene revealing how his morning got railroaded and derailed, there is absolutely no reason for why a student going to class, on the first day likely, should not be looking presentable and prepared, with pressed clothes. And it doesn't seem like the "disorganised, dishevelled" look was meant to add to character development. Feels like they just wanted him to interact with the purple-haired lady or something... He just even started drawing her picture. Looking at another girl. Where's the chemistry if you wanted to use the trope of 'new boy in class absent-mindedly sketching a girl he fancies?' Ughhh. The teacher too calling him "Mr. Scholarship." . He's a recurring role cast oh. I don tire to dey see the guy for one particular role. Fine, he was a great child actors but now can he move on into other character development. Gosh I'm so annoyed. ![]() Ahhh. How can you say you don't know Olumide. He was a cast in "The Johnsons" Season 1 of the series. He was also a child actor in the evergreen "Everyday people" series. I also watched him in Mtv Base "Shuga" series. I think his mum was Tiwa Savage in the series. Nahhh. Funke Akindele has always been versatile. I don't think she was known for just one type of role in movies. Have you watched her in "I need to know" series? It's quite old though. Lmaooo. Timini my old crush. That guy would really go places but that bad boy stereotype just dey follow am waka, even inside real life when he was dating underage abi 18years old girls.Na him sabi. ![]() When I saw the first trailer, I simply rolled my eyes and said "Not again with this crap". Carmen ke? Them for kuku call her Caramel na. Funny enough, these names you mentioned were/are quite popular among those rich kids then. Wetin concern us with Carmen? Na that time them go even call the name semen. ![]() There has to be a back story of why a student is looking dishevelled on the first day of school. In reality, first day of school whether rich or poor, every student tried to look neat and presentable. Abeg abeg. ![]() Netflix Nigeria just dey do rubbish.

Magnoliaa:Mai dear. The major problem I have is Nollywood using this guy repeatedly. It is now a stale script. Olumide Oworu is 27years old and not meant to be acting teen dramas over and over again. I get irked seeing Nollywood stereotyping him with such teen roles. Now this!!!! ![]() And then again, which secondary school in Nigeria has lockers as decent and Behind as they portrayed in the movie trailer. Even my own school sef nor get that kain lockers sef. Them dey craze. ![]()

AmazonTopaz:I'm telling you. ![]() |
AmazonTopaz:Hahaha. I'm not a makeup person as well. Naija weather these days too hot for makeup. ![]() I like simple but elegant clothes, it could be baggy or flashy or tight but as long it's pleasing to the eyes,I'm up for it. Paying attention to skin and hair is also a good thing. ![]() |
AmazonTopaz:Me too oh. Nothing concern me with Maths abeg. ![]() |
AmazonTopaz:Thank you very much Mami. I have allergies for strong fragrances also and that's why I use light and soft fragrances that go easy on my nostrils because it is very sensitive. You don't like women's fashion or you don't just have time for it? Which one? |
Magnoliaa:Oya oh. I dey now. ![]() |
Magnoliaa:Na this evening you go remind me oh. If I start to engage you now,I nor go get time prepare for where I dey go so. ![]() I have watched the trailer on Twitter and I was disappointed. But yesss. It is very similar to how Hollywood does theirs too. Infact,it has some semblance with Elite, Blood and Water series. Some people are saying this is the Nigerian version. I nor even dey watch am. Good luck to those watching it. We all know how the story ends.Besides, these aren't child actors, they're grandpas and grandmas already. ![]() I'm tired of seeing these grownups act teen roles. ![]() |
Magnoliaa Please remind me later, we will talk about this. It seems you were in my mind.

This is crazy!!! These new generation parents should allow kids be kids!!!!!! What the hell? ![]() Do not deprive your children of their childhood. Once lost, it can NEVER be regained. Even me as a young adult, it's just last month I started wearing eyelashes for the first time in my life. That stuff is really uncomfortable. Now imagine using that on a child. Jeez. |

Do you know of any fruity scent (particularly pineapple), I like How It gives me the "I want you to eat me zaddy" vibes. ![]() |
Geminita:Lol. I know that Nivea products are nice jor. I still use their roll-on sha. But they're not my main go-to. Wallahi oh. They don't put others into consideration especially those who use Hausa perfumes. ![]() |
