A friend of mine is preparing for divorce. He has 2 children.
What are the challenges he is going to encounter after the divorce?

Note: All processes to reconcile differences between them seems impossible. The only option available is divorce.
He needs to consult a lawyer.

Simple and short.

Oh he brought my family and men in life into a harmless conversation in a very rude manner, there's no way I'm letting that slide. Someone I barely knew for 4 days? My family ?no fvcking way I'm going to keep quiet. I made sure he apologized for "misyarning "

Maybe I will give full gist on my diary later sha. grin
Ahhh if it involves family, then you're justified. I don't joke with such.

The reason I said I wasn't that forgiving was because a couple had issues with my parents for years and recently wanted their forgiveness and they quoted Bible passages for old things to pass away. I just laughed because twas really funny. cheesy

No wahala. I'd be expecting the gist. You dom too owe us gist sef. angry

May God help us ooo grin
The advantage though is that we do not overreact and will most likely not pick offenses where there are none. We get lots of time to know truly we were offended so no room for denial with us just own it grin .

Oh... I had to unlearn that grin . I speak when I need to. Lol Reminds me of a guy I forced and apology out of offline. Normal conversation dude started sounding like typical Nl alfa mail. cheesy Normally I ignore and never converse with the person again but on this day, we were almost shouting on phone, I hung up, continued offline even the next day I sent a paragraph grin grin I didn't let it die until he apologized.

I have come to realize people are no longer sensitive or sensible anymore. They'd moved on like nothing happened while you get hurt and angry. I talk now o grin
Yeahhh. I don't overreact or shout at all (that's reserved for laughter or pleasure) neither do I pick offense when there's none. It is such a big flex.

Awww you tried oh. I don't have power for long talks these days especially when I see someone trying to frustrate me, I wrap it up quickly and nicely.

Maybe I'd learn how to be confrontational but I just really hate all the back and forth.

Hmm, I get you sha & I agree it is that emotional intelligence I lack, I will work on it sha.

It is just that I don't take things religiously, like I am Messi fan but you could see me argue for Ronaldo in a instance & you wouldn't know. I might even say something like 'Messi is a fraud' just for the plot, because I could just feel like rocking that boat in that instance.

But if somebody says Messi is a fraud to me I couldn't be less bothered, talkless of animes or shows/clubs/ individuals, infact it is same reason why I am always surprised when I see people throwing abuses & issuing death threats online over music artists stanship, somebody like me now can never do that cause I don't really care. You can say anything about my favourite artist I would never really deep it or take it personal to you.

Even though I would never start beefing somebody for stuff like attacking my religion/ personal beliefs, I would never attack somebody religion or even political opinions, infact I avoid sensitive topics like this anywhere. Cause I know people can get real violent over stuffs like that.
It is just the non-sensititve ones I like to have a loose mouth on.

But sha everybody is not like me, so I understand now that I need to be watch what I say.
Thanks for this. 💙
I'm a Ronaldo fan, I enjoy football bants a lot but don't take it to heart. There are others that might take it personally and carry the matter on their head like gala seller and throw death threats (which I find unnecessary). Same goes for the Wizkid/Davido, Nicki Minaj/Cardi B stanship.

It's best to avoid sensitive topics especially religious beliefs if you're not aligned to their takes and whatnots. In a world we live today, Religious tolerance needs to be practiced.

And yeah, everybody's not like you. I am also not like everyone but God will help us all. cheesy

Cheers.

The thing with me is I always have people beefing with me over petty stuffs. Well atleast to me it is "Petty".

The thing is the type of person I am I a very loose mouth & care free person so I just be saying anything without deeping it. Most of my close guys know that about me.

But with people that don't really know me they tend to take things personal & overthink every little things. & it makes me feel bad I really don't like malice/bad belle/grudges.

I literally had somebody started unnecessarily targetingh me at my last internship because I said his favourite anime is "mid".

One other started frowning at me & giving me negative vibez, after we had one long argument about a Twitter viral story. Meaningless argument that even my opinions weren't even real, I was just arguing for argument sake & to pass time.
He started taking it personal, despite tell him I was trolling he wasn't having it.

It is something that is making me reflect nowadays that maybe I need to get more reserved atleast when in the midst of people that don't know me enough.
Well, to be honest with you, I don't think you should hide under the umbrella of being reserved when in the midst of people. Instead, your best bet is "Reading the room" and acting accordingly.

Emotional intelligence also comes in play when dealing with unknown people. The fact that you have a loose mouth doesn't mean you should start giving careless capping when you're with others. You have to put yourself in their shoes sometimes, "Is this conversation/bad mouth suitable for my audience or not?" If it is, and you have gauged that your bad mouth will rightly fit the mood and create laughter or more conversations from everyone, by all means you can proceed. But if you sense otherwise, it is the wisest to stop.

Have you ever wondered why conversations pertaining to bad government always elicit outbursts from people in a bus? Everyone is willing to lash at the government including the bus driver and conductor. You cannot really say the same when you engage in convos preferring Ronaldo or Messi, there will be chaos.

It is the same tactic used when communicating with strangers.

I literally had somebody started unnecessarily targetingh me at my last internship because I said his favourite anime is "mid".
Well, you cannot just deliberately talk down on his favourite anime and expect a handshake from him. People are kinda sensitive about what they like, and maybe that's the only thing giving him joy in this world. cheesy

#MyOpinion.

So I'm not weird after all. Like do you replay scenarios after they happen to analyze if you were at fault or the person was outrightly offensive without provocation? Because I do that grin

As a matter of fact sometimes I replay scenarios to be sure grin . Like subtle insults or actions I wasn't sure of when they happened at first, I can conclude on them days later grin

The funniest part it after going through this stress I may later let go but if not omooh heaven help that person if there's a reoccurrence of the scene oooo. Sometimes I talk about it other times I just do my own back grin grin grin
No Pina, you are not weird at all.

Mine is even worse. I'm naturally a bubbly person, you can feel it when I'm chatting or talking to you. The moment you start feeling a shift of energy more than three times, just know something is bothering me and need to solve a puzzle.

Yes, I replay scenarios over and over, even in my sleep. Sometimes, I also try to involve a neutral 3rd party to analyze said scenario to know whether I'm being overly sensitive or at fault.

That's fair enough tbh, shows you are an emotional person if not anything.

Just that nowadays people like keeping grudges/malice over petty irrelevant issues.
Lol did I ever come across as a stoic person?
But yeah, I mostly put logic first before my emotions come to play.

Oh well, in my own case, it's quite different.
