Hahahahahahaha!!! Jiki magayi. A sannu-sannu kowa zaiyi hankali. I have always been said that politics, tribe, and religion are three different things. If we cannot learn from our past, South Africa's ANC is there for us to look at. Those criminals don't care about your religion. The consequences of their actions don't care about your religion. So why make religion a basis for your votes? How can a sane human being look at ANY Nigerian politician and assume he cares about promoting Islam (or any other religion)? Those people are there to get rich and live a good life. All that fight for Shariah and insistence on having muslim-muslim tickets in Kaduna and Aso rock are strategic political moves. In fact, I believe many of them are closet atheists. I can bet my life that Buhari for example has spent more days in the UK than in Saudi Arabia but being the idiots that we are, we assume him being president will somehow benefit our religion. One thing I have learned about this country is that contrary to popular belief, our politicians are in fact very smart. They understand that we have been enslaved by religion and they will continue to use that against us. You might be thinking that the guys complaining in this video have learned their lesson but just wait for 2027. The imams will as usual be paid to preach the benefits of Muslim-Muslim and the consequences of voting for an infidel. The "daddy" pastors will be paid to make the election look like a religious war. We will vote fools into power again and cry for another four years. |

plaindealer: So, northerners are the ones vandalizing the bridge in your Anambra village?
.. but why are your village brothers vandalizing rail tracks in Lagos and Ibadan?
The difference between me and you tribal bigots is the fact that I have no sympathy for any Yoruba vandal and criminal elements and I'll never defend or protect them or even come up with dumb excuses and silly rubbish like other people are doing it too?
You people just can not accept responsibility for your horrible actions, you always come up with dumb defense.
This is the reason why you are sit at home slaves and why you and your leaders can not raise your weak voice against your ipob terrorists....but when it's outside you're region, you quickly sharp mouth..
This is why we don't take you people seriously, you are all self destructive criminal elements. Absolutely. If they are arrested for committing crime here, they will say it's the result of bad governance. When they go to "saner climes" and are arrested for any crime, they still blame bad governance or racism. If someone from other tribes surpasses them (e.g Dangote), they cry quota system. When you talk about terrorism in their land, they point at the north and tell you to focus on that. In politics, they chose to fight everyone instead of form bridges and now they are crying victimhood even though anyone with half a brain knew the election was between Atiku and Tinubu. In South Africa, they sell drugs and when attacked, they cry xenophobia and call South Africans lazy and whatnot (which is true but still not an excuse to sell drugs to them). The case of that Jamb girl who falsified her result is still fresh in our mind. I have never seen northerners and SouthWesterners denying the shortcomings of their people but Igbos? Nah. They only love to claim being the "superior African race." Freaking Nazi wannabes |
Politics › Re: Africa Needs A Benevolent Dictator Not Democracy??? by FoolishBoy419: 7:43pm On Aug 02, 2023 |
KnowAll: From my experience, governments in Africa who practice democracy are all about what they can acquire within the speculated time they allowed by their various constitutions.
As a result most of our states in Nigeria and most of our countries in Africa are less developed as supposed to be o ent dictators like Museveni of Uganda and Kegsme of Rwanda who really love their countries and are benevolent in allowing development of several sectors of the economy simultaneously.
So. Why don’t we look for a benevolent dictator. I have always had this view for years. A good democratic leader is powerless when surrounded by corrupt people and corrupt lawmakers. The courts are also there to frustrate corruption cases but a dictator has few factors against him (if you take out the possibility of a coup by corrupt military leaders). |

lexy2014: 1. How much was nigeria borrowing to finance fuel Subsidy?
What are those "capital expenditure and economy diversification" that money for subsisdy should have been used for?
2. Mele Kyari in 2020 said subsisdy had been totally and completely removed
3. Which subsisdy did Tinubu now remove in 2023?
4. How do your answers 2 and 3 answer the questions I asked?
5. Where in my number 2 question did I ask u about price of crude oil?
6. How did u come to the conclusion that if price of crude oil was low, that there was no need to pay fuel subsisdy?
7. If that is your conclusion, how then did u arrive at your unwarranted epistle in your number 3? "K" |
Politics › Re: Nigeria Subsidy Removal Puts Pressure On EU Refineries by FoolishBoy419: 8:49pm On Jul 28, 2023 |
lexy2014: How does that answer the questions?
1. Why did fuel subsisdy need to go?
2. Mele Kyari in 2020 said subsisdy had been totally and completely removed
3. Which subsisdy did Tinubu now remove in 2023? I don't know the argument you two are having but yes, I'm in full support of subsidy removal. 1 Subsidy had to go because we were borrowing too much money to keep it going. Money that could have been used for capital expenditure and economy diversification was being used to fund subsidy which is unwise. 2. I don't know when he said that but IF the international price for crude oil was low as at 2020, then there would be no need to pay fuel subsidy. 3. Let me try to explain to you how fuel subsidy works. Let's say marketers spend #50,000 to buy a bag of maize abroad and intend to sell each bag at #70,000 to Nigerians. Now as the government, you want Nigerians to pay only #30,000 per bag of maize but that is not possible because it would mean the marketers would be selling to Nigerians at a loss of #20,000 and with zero profit. Now to fix this, Nigeria agrees to pay #40,000 Naira to the marketers per bag so that when you add the #30,000 that Nigerians pay, they will get their profit. You, Nigerians, and the marketers all get what they want. Now here is the thing: the price of maize rises and falls in the international market. Suppose a bag of maize falls to #20,000 per bag. Nigeria will no longer have to pay them one kobo since they can buy at #20,000 and sell to Nigerians at #30,000 thereby making profit. Now what Tinubu is saying is that he doesn't care if the price of maize reaches #1000,000,000,000,000 per bag. You should pay what the marketers charge. You can now go and continue your debate with him. I hope you get it now. |

Why did fuel subsisdy need to go?
Mele Kyari in 2020 said subsisdy had been totally and completely removed
Which subsisdy did Tinubu now remove in 2023? Oil prices rise and fall. When oil price went down to $40-, there was no need to subsidize fuel because it was cheap. |

Cooly100: When you tell them the military will cut all these wastes, majority of the people who wants to gain from these failed democracy will tell you that the worse democracy is better than the best military rule.
How?
The best lingering infrastructures in Nigeria was built by the military...
The third main land bridge, the federal high ways, National Theatre, FCT Abuja, etc...
The civilians are not even able to repair the roads built by the military..
Lagos - Ibadan roads and Enugu - Onithsa road have been in repairs since 1999.
The money consumed by these large government agencies are extra ordinary.
Democracy is too expensive for African countries...
A better form of government should be introduced to cut expense..and same goes to the 36 states... Wow. I used to think I was the only one that thinks like this until I came across this comment. An intelligent, patriotic, and RUTHLESS authoritarian government is what Africa needs not this money-draining arrangement for corruptuon. I said ruthless because some of us need to be forced to do the right thing. |

See the rest of the world, see your mates in Africa! This is as at 2020, only Libya and Somalia has a worse tax to gdp ration than Nigeria….what do we know about Libya and Somalia in 2020? It has gone up but we are still lagging behind. Fools like you will come here and talk about they have light in ghana, they have good roads in Cotonou…..na tax kill am. South Africa that Nigerians like to run to see their tax to GDP ratio 28% compared to Nigeria at 3%. How can we have the same good schools and roads like they have? Yet they are a smaller economy than us!!! You don’t want to pay tax but you want a developed society….idiots!!!! Too much socialism, coupled with excessive mismanagement of resources has destroyed Nigeria. Look at how everyone is crying about the hike in tertiary school fees when many GOOD secondary schools charge more than that per year. The focus should be on those religious beliefs, not on people holding the beliefs. Please don't even think about that. If you come to the north here and try any debate, you might end up endangering thousands of innocent lives. Black people as a whole are eternally cursed with stupidity. nairalanda1: Yeah you pay something into it...but in return, you get drugs at a heavily discounted rate.
Which is what happens in government run hospitals, and even for some medications eg malaria drugs.
Simples. I work there after all.
That was partly the case prior to 2016, when Government made NNPC sole importer and paid subsidy costs to them to compensate them for selling fuel at a loss to marketers.
The remaining bit went to transporters. It is why pre subsidy, prices were the same all over the country.
K. I am with you on the subsidy removal issue but I don't think NHIS gives drugs at a discounted price. They are denying a lot of people access to the drugs even though many workers are forced to pay them monthly. |
