fubsy: I think Nigeria lost because of the style of play. They were only playing long passes, that were not working. The players also loved being with the ball, but were unable to do so. Whereas, the South Africans ensured that the ball did most of the movements through short, but effective passes. If not for our wing backs, we would have conceded more goals. My advice is that Nigerians should play as a team rather than showcasing individual brilliance. Otherwise, the Super Falcons will not get the trophy (that is if they are able to get to the finals). South Africa's Bayana Bayana are technically better.
You are right. Some players too have over stayed their usefulness and can not compete well with the younger players who are more aspiring.
I have a residential neighbor. He is in his 40's while I am in my 30's. He lives upstairs, while I live downstairs. He is a banker, divorced with his first, now ex wife with two children and became single again for a long time. From our conversation, his first marriage failed due to immaturity from both side. It became very difficult for him to re-marry because he wanted a help mate. A career / business / market wise woman that will help and build his life.
He told me the problem he is facing today was as a result of his first marriage, and the ease in his life will be determine by his next marriage. He told me he will not settle for the less and I believed him.
He had a lot of conversation with me about his life, although I never told him about myself. I just gave him few advice and prayed for him not to make another bombshel of a mistake.
Someone recommend for him a very young girl which he seem to like. Paid her dowry - traditional marriage in a hurry and brought her home as married couple.
To him, he has caught a fresh young fish.
When this young woman came, he was so curious about me which I seem to understand. One day I told her not to worry if I don't give her attention or always converse with her the way she want. I made her understand I don't speak much in person unless it is very important. I did this just to put her at ease.
THE PROBLEM
The problem right now, my neighbor is having serious headache. I mean extreme headache because the girl he married is still behaving like a child.
He just realize that he has made another huge bombshell. When he first brought her home after the dowry, I myself was secretly concern because the girl was just too small and immature for him. I mean too young to be his daughter age mate.
Yesterday he was shouting and willing to lay hand on her or send her back home. He married her without courtship for the very wrong reasons below.
●He married her because she is young and innocent. ●He married her because he needed someone that will be under his total influence and control. ● He married her because of total submission from a woman. ●He married her because she has orange breast. We men like female breast too much . We just love to suck female breast and she has nice standing fan boobs.
Right now he is seeing the opposite and not the character he thought he paid for. Instead of character or fine personality, man foolishly lusted after tight vagina and hot breast.
I tried to communicate with the young babe, letting her know she need to be smart and acknowlege herself as now a married young woman. She is no longer in her parents house, but her own house.
Her response to me shows that, she is just a typical village girl who was convince into marriage by her parents. She blame her father.
I am secretly concern about her well being.
My only secret worrries right is that, her hubby should not lay hands on her, by slapping her. I don't like when a man beats a woman.
She is very young and small like that of a 17 years old girl.
MEN will always go for curves and breast and not for mature mind or character
senatepresido: It was a hilarious moment for me in particular So I entered this little Lagos eatery on the Island and met two guys there, I made a request for Indomie and chicken and base on the fact that I have established a good friendly rapport with them, when the Indomie was served with fork, I requested for a knife cutlery and look at what I got
Newphiligeek123: Charles DeBono, a 63-year-old Barrie, Ontario man who defrauded hundreds of investors out of millions of dollars will have to pay back $26.9 million in restitution after he was handed a seven-year sentence today.
Approximately 515 people, mostly from Nigeria but also in Canada lost a combined $29 million, leading some to lose their life savings and retirement incomes between 2012 and 2017.
The Nigerian Victims They did their due diligence and looked into the business opportunity before investing. They lived in Nigeria and found nothing — no red flags, no bad history, no indication of what actually lay ahead.
In the end, the Nigerian investors lost thousands of dollars in what they later learned was one of Ontario’s largest frauds. An investor from Nigeria told the Canadian police how he lost US$80,000— money he had earned investing in the petroleum sector.
'For me, I didn’t expect this type of thing to happen in Canada. It’s a developed country,' “I checked everything. In fact, it took me one year before deciding,” he declared at the Barrie, Ontario courthouse. “I was asking people, checking.” Even the online reviews, he recalled, were very good.
Other colleagues in Nigeria had also invested. He said there were a lot of investors from Nigeria.
The Nigerian man believes that some of the early investors recovered their money in full — which would explain the positive online reviews that, at the time, encouraged others to throw their money DeBono’s way.
The Fraudster DeBono sold fake investments in a point-of-sale terminal ownership program in what police said was nothing more than a Ponzi scheme. When banks started shutting him down in 2017, he fled to the Dominican Republic with millions of dollars as well as hundreds of thousands of dollars worth of cars and other assets.
The Barrie man had no criminal record and held regular middle-class jobs, including in the local used car industry, before creating KIS Media Ventures in 2012, which served as an umbrella organization for illicit companies, including Debit Direct and Business Partners Ventures Inc.
Using fake brochures and elaborate sales messages, DeBono used sales agents and sold his scheme on websites and at trade and franchise shows across the country, according to an agreed-upon statement of facts filed with the court.
Those recruited to sell believed they were selling a legitimate business opportunity. The point-of-sale terminals were to be placed in high-volume businesses across Canada and the investors were to receive 15 cents per transaction in monthly payouts.
Once he secured clients who thought they were investing in the machines, he sent them monthly financial statements and even dividend cheques in the early days.
However, the returns on the terminals were actually being funded by new investor deposits.
Crown prosecutor Ted Ofiara earlier told the court there was no evidence that any machines were ever placed in businesses and likely the only scanning machines linked to DeBono were the ones he displayed to sell that became a Ponzi scheme.
Bbsharon: Recently, I had to travel from Abuja to Akure and on the first thought I had plans to go with Airpeace as they are obviously the biggest carrier in Nigeria for local flights and have been around for long and since they also go to Akure they were my first option.
I checked up for the ticket for Airpeace and it was sold out so I had two options left, Overland Airways and the new Airline in Nigeria which is Green Africa Airways.
I wanted by all means to avoid Nigeria new airlines and thought to go for the Overland but then the curious nature in me could not bring myself to book the ticket so I checked the Green Africa Airways and finally made my bookings with them and that's how my first experience with them came to be.
Basically, I will be giving an overview review of the airline from my own perspective and experience using them and also how the Airport in Akure looks like.
Why Akure Airport come resemble Police Station like this

KiNg0G: We all know controversies is what helps to keep the industry flowing either Good or bad. just like Biggie and 2pac in here we are going to talk about the king0g top 5 countdown nigeria musicians who had quarrels, dispute with each other.... some got settled between the line other's still holds grudges between themselves till today, hence the line by burna boy on black sermon track remix some of his friends do carry gun!. shogbo?
OLAMIDE and DONJAZZY
This happened in 2015 during the headies next rated between their both top signees....it was getting so fustrating seeing don jazzy musicians winning that category almost every year.. though he is a good promoter but some of us saw they is an influence going on in headies (wiao wiao government) because it was so clear lil kesh had more hits than reekardo banks that year...when olamide stepped up on stage to make his mind known, i didn't really blame him.. the fight got to social media that they both started throwing jabs to each other that it was getting to a stage of been threatened not to enter some parts of lagos state..until we later heard what was supposed to be a fight became a businesses transaction. A big man came to settle the whole thing, probably shut them both up with couple of nairas.. the both signees they want to fight for is nowhere to found as of now. what a shame!
eedris abdulkareem and 50 cent
Though eedris claimed this earned him alot of respect, back then as a kid so many of us were in support but as I grew older I finally understood the real issue, it's not right to vent your fustration on someone else. it's not 50cent doings to be the headline event of the show....he was invited to....it's not 50 cent fault to be booked in a first class seat on the plane by the organisers. why will you carry your agbero character to go taunt him...if you felt you weren't treated better in your own country go talk to the organisers and caused havoc with them, let's see if he won't spent the rest of his careers behind kuje since 04. That was an unnecessary act he pulled with 50 cent, let's say the truth and we all could see how it affected his career... upcoming musicians that's one vital lesson.
ZLANTA and DJ CUPPY
This is one of the reasons I don't blame this online redpillers on nairaland, why come into a business transaction with some one (gelato) and not make the laid down rules known from the start?..is it because it's a female involved? after the whole thing is done.. concerts you attended to perform with her.. months later you blocked her on all platform and came out to say.... you didn't receive one naira from the song... you even spent your own money on it.. ah who does that?.. if not a SIMPle guy. what a pathetic joke...that's Why I don't blame nigerias when they say he was after his own "share" to tap free current...when the wifi was not connecting to her "hotspot" access denied dude finally realised and got back to his senses ...by then it's too late. business before pleasure my gee... that doesn't mean you shouldn't lick ice cream with her but be business oriented.... I hope zlanta gets to see this someday...so many musicians gets paid outrightly for a verse feature before they jump on any beat.
MI and VECTOR
This was a fight between a father and a son that went on for decade, when they finally saw that nigeria's have moved passed their balderdash they were forced to settle their beef claiming hennessy dropped some naira...hmm.. funny guys.... buh the truth is they realised nigeria's has moved on when they both drop their various diss tracks and it didn't make that much waves.. no one cares no more....we just wanted some good music from fireboy, omah lay and the rest ......was this really about rivalry? both are on different levels though, I appreciate vectors freestyles, metaphors and punchlines but when I see people compare him with mi I shake my head. let's talk about music... there's different between been a rapper who drop bars on a beat and been a rap Musician for the show business.... that's the reason MI will forever be a legend. I mean been a rapper in nigeria is not easy, to be relevant for years now I wonder how he pulled it off with guys he started with so many have been long forgotten.
BURNA BOY and Mr 2Kay
sometimes I feel this man is untouchable, backed by different top men in nigeria, big Gods I don't think been a cultist or ruggedity won't give a man that much power to be in the news for bad reasons almost all the time and can't be touched. just few weeks ago we heard about how is security guard shot a man in a club till now nothing is done about it... This isn't the first time he was declared wanted by the nigeria police, makes me reminisce about the 2017 incident with beef he had with Mr 2kay a fellow port harcourt brother, dudes was beaten to pulp and robbed at Eko hotel.. after the hoodlums were apprehended they later confessed it was burna boy who sent them, but a scared chicken will always be a frightened chicken. kay said he wasn't going to press any charges, last we heard was they've settled their beef... pathetic.
note: this here is not to promote any form of violence staying peaceful should be encouraged at all time
Why parade them with those token cheque that can not even last them for a year. This is shameful. Are they being done a favour after loosing their bread winner/Loved one. This is there entitlement and not a favour. They deserve far more than this
