Who said that? First of all, the EPL is a tougher ground. Second, he has two games and Nacho has three. Thirdly, Nacho has shown the same consistency in another competition.
So, I will tip Nacho over Sadiq but I will like to see Sadiq get more games to see if he can maintain the consistency.
If Sadiq can maintain the consistency, then there is something special there. Point of correction. Serie A is no less inferior or less tougher ground to EPL. Secondly, Iheanacho played 21 matches and saw 424 minutes of game time with just 3 goals while Sadiq Umar only played 6 matches and saw a total of 188 minutes of football with 2 goals. Check am again and tell who is more prolific? Meaning if he had more game time, he could do better than Iheanacho and Solanke, right? |

The point is that Bony had a smoking form the season before he joined Swansea. 31 goals in 30 matches is terrific.
Going from that to 16 goals in 34 matches is a bad drop. It shows he met tougher oppositions and defenders than he faced at the Eredivisie. It is no longer first season and second season again!? Stop changing gear, Na you start na you won com take style change am. |

The 25 goals he scored is total games. The discussion was in respect of the Eredivisie and the EPL.
Iheanacho has three goals in three starts. Solanke has seven goals in Seventeen starts. That is the difference.
Iheanacho's start to goal ratio is flawless but Solanke's own isn't.
The boy has the ability and he should raise his game. That means statistically speaking Iheanacho should be dropped for Sadiq Umar because he had 2 goals in two starts. Waoh! Is goal ratio is more flawless than Iheanacho and Solanke. Don't you think so? |

How can the other nine count when we are talking of Bony's performance in his first season.
In Bony's first season in the EPL, he scored 16 goals. That is, 2013-2014 season.
The EPL is one League. We can not count other goals when we are talking League goals.
When Bony scored 31 goals in 30 League games, it was only in the Eredivisie. No there competition. If we want to add that, then we call total games. That is a pass mark for someone who scored 3 goals in his first season in Eredivisie and 12 goals in his second season in the Eredivisie and came all the way to score 16 and 11 goals in his first and second season respectively in the EPL. I am baffled with the way you argue football.
Solanke is a reserve player for Chelsea. It is difficult for him to see shirt. At Vitesse, he is a regular striker.
John Guidetti was a City reserve. He hardly saw a game. He went to Feyenoord and was their regular player and top goal scorer.
Does that not tell you that the Eredivisie is far easier than the EPL?
I did not say Eredivisie players can not score in the EPL. I said the EPL is harder. So showing me stats that Eredivisie attackers can score does not prove that the Eredivisie is easier.
Stop prolonging simple fact. You know the Eredivisie is far easier than the Premier League. Every serious football fan knows this. Even Solanke. Sorry, I don't take mine and people's opinion seriously. Because they prove nothing to those who believe in facts. |

I do not know how you can not understand something basic as the Eredivisie is easier than the Premier League. I know Tommasson, Nisterooy, Ibrahimovic, Suarez, Kluivert, Kanu, Huntelaar etc came from the Eredivisie. It doesn't make it easier.
Look at Graziano Pelle at Southampton. In Feyenoord, he scored 27 goals in his first season and in his second season, he scored 23 goals.
At Southampton, he scored 12 goals in his first season and in his second season, he has scored 9 so far.
The Eredivisie is easier and you know it. Anyone who knows a bit about Football knows this. Don't you think the fact that they came from Eredivisie to become top goal scorers makes the Premier League look easier to goal goals? And how come they just from Eredivisie to score at will in premier-league? If the Eredivisie is easier how come they don't win the European Golden shoes yearly? |

How can you watch that clip and tag Solanke prolific. If he wants to make it in the big league, he has to do better. He actually scored two penalties.
That is in open play, in 17 games, he has 5 goals in the Eredivisie.
He is not as prolific as you make him. Look at Chelsea, we have youngsters like Zouma, Rahman, Kennedy, Traore, Loftus-Cheek.
You can say Solanke did not make because he is very young but to say he is better than Iheanacho, Man City's most lethal shot-taker, is blasphemy.
Also, strikers drift to the wings but they have their primary role.
Solanke plays as a point man/Striker in every game he plays for Vitesse. He does not have the stats to force Coach Siasia to drop his attacking plans for him.
I hope he improves and pulls better stats. You mean in the big league where Van Persie, Suarez etc came, saw and conquered from the Eredivisie? How many penalties did Iheanacho score? Atleast, you saw how he scored with his skills without needing any tailored passes that made Iheanacho to score easy goals. Abi i lie? If Solanke dey for Man City, i am sure he must have scored 15 goals and even benched ... you know nau. The primary goal of an attacker is to score. Chikena! How did you know he played as a point man in every game he played for Vitesse? Did you watch any of the matches? |

Icon4s: First get my point. I was never against his invitation. What I was against was the slogan of he being the best natural midfielder in the team.
At that point in time Michael Babatunde and even Rabiu Ibrahim were ahead of him. Not to even mention Mikel Obi, Nosa Igiebor and Ogenyi Onazi. Ramon just had a fairly good 6months of consistent club football going into the world cup.
Forget that story of say "he was played out of position". Do you know how many positions I have seem 'Karo Etebo play of which he did creditably well. How many league games did Michael Babatunde play prior to the world cup and what wing did play in his club prior to the world cup? Which club(league) did Rabiu Ibrahim play for prior to the world cup and which wing did he play prior to the world? How many matches did Rabiu Ibrahim play prior to the World Cup? Do you know Ramon Azeez played almost the same numbers of league matches Onazi played that season? I agree Mikel Obi and Nosa igiebor(because he won the Israeli league) were ahead but the rest mbanu. Nevertheless, Ramon Azeez na Ramon Azeez. He plays as a CMF and DMF. Period! Ok na! We will try Iheanacho at LB to access his talent. And pls, don't forget to answer the questions below too. Can you define "development" with technical facts? Which position is Iheanacho playing for his club that makes him stand better chance of being invited to the Super Eagles? Do you mean Sadiq Umar that is playing at the level of Kelechi Iheanacho can not contend at the Olympics level because of your.... criteria? |

Musa hardly plays as a point man, so you can not expect the same goal scoring stats as in the NPFL.

Comparing Solanke and Iheanacho is normal because they played in the same English youth club grade. So, it is normal and there is nothing abnormal about it. You people seem to underrate some of these dudes. Kayode was prolific while in Isreal and has not stopped banging goals in Australia. Chikatara is one of the best young strikers in the NPPL. Imoh Ezekiel is not shy in front of goal plus his previous achievements, no thanks to his move to China. So how can Awoniyi, Osimhen and Solanke become our most prefered options? I don't get it.
What about that dude that played well during trainings with the Super Eagles. I guess Coach Siasia asked him to go team up with the Olympics team. Osimhen, Awoniyi and Solanke may look promising but are not a match to these three names I have mentioned. Experience counts. TheSuperNerd do you remember the dude?
Solanke broke into the first team of England U17 but Chikatara never broke into any Nigeria age grade teams. Solanke help England to win the European Under 17 tournament but Chikatara never won any age grade tournament. Solanke was the highest goal scorer in the U17 European tournament but chikatara has come close to doing that for the age grade system. Solanke was the winner and the highest goal scorer in the UEFA youth tournament with 12 goals but chikatara never had the experience to play in such competition. Solanke had the experience of playing in the prestigious UEFA Champions League but chikatara never played in such competition even in the CAF level. Solanke is playing in one the best leagues in the world but Chikatara is still praying to the Almighty God to grant him his request. I say AMEN. Solanke has scored 7 league goals in a league know to be very technical and Tactical in football approach but chikatara has so far been overlooked by European clubs despite seeing him play for the second Super Eagles. Awoniyi is battling to score goals in the second division of bundesliga while Osimhen is still been used as apprentice in his yet to be club. |

terzurum5: If the NFF want Dominic Solanke to don the green white green, now is the time. By the time the guy starts picking up more than what he has done, I don't think England will be ready to let him go. The FA is still pained by Alex Iwobi's miss let alone Solanke's. Now is the time. How I wish Coach Emmanuel Amuneke will act fast and track the guy for the next U20. Coach Siasia can extend a call up to him to assure him so that he begin to feel more Nigerian and to give him the hope that he can be called up very soon to team up with any of the national teams when the need arises. To be candid, I want the best to represent our country hence my thorough assessment of players before clamouring for their invitation. Now, let us look at the numbers of goals scored by all the forwards eligible for the Olympics and decide who should be selected. Remember, age no be anything. Ezekiel Imoh - 3 goals - Anderlecht - Belgium Moses Simon - 3 goals- Genk - Belgium Isaac Success - 5 goals - Granada - Spain Kayode Olanrewaju - 10 goals -Austrian Vienna - Austria Chikatara - not available Aaron Samuel - 7 goals - Guangzhou - China Kelechi Iheanacho - 9 goals - Man city - England Dominic Solanke - 7 goals - Vitesse - Netherlands Sadiq Umar - 2 goals - Roma - Italy Tell us who deserves to be selected? |
